Jon Bernthal is such an underrated actor. I know he might not have the largest catalog, but coming out of The Walking Dead’s success and still leave his mark on the big screen tells a lot of his acting art.
Rumor is that he will be in the upcoming Moon Knight series, and Charlie Cox/Daredevil will be in the Spiderman movie as Matt Murdoch. So it sounds like they are open to bringing the Netflix cast back into the fold if the story is right.

Bernthal was made for this role. He was perfect and articulated Frank in a way that even the comics have trouble with. The Punisher was a fantastic series and the kinetic energy of the action pieces will be impossible to outdo. Deathrow. Throwing hands with Kingpin. Dropping Ninjas with a Barret 50. Beating the ever-loving piss out of the Irish mob, Russian enforcers, and The Pilgrim. All gold-standard.

So there’s a little misconception that the Punisher was made to be a beacon for the LEO community. In fact, the Punisher was created to show how the justice system fails so many people. LEOs are a big part of its failure. The Punisher hated authorities because they’ve failed him and his family. So when I see a Punisher skull on a LEO vehicle, I smh, and think how the Punisher would much rather blow up that LEO’s equipment to see how the LEO acts without it. Without a badge and a gun, are LEOs still powerful? Would they still uphold the law and protect the innocent? Eh, I’m guessing a lot of them wouldn’t.
It was because Disney owns the marvel rights that's why all the marvel shows stopped being released on netflix. There is actually rumors of new punisher content to be released on Hulu because it's owned by Disney and Punisher is too dark and mature for a Disney+ release. Hope it happens.
Also extremely infuriating, because clearly law enforcement don't know a damn thing about the Punisher and what he stands for. The real Punisher would end these fuckers.
Great actor great role but I am not a fan of hearing "I'm not into that whole super hero thing". Characters are characters, some aren't for certain actors but why limit yourself. Not complaining, just my thoughts.
Maybe he wasn't into the idea of wearing a super hero get uo. With a mask and everything. So the Punisher might have just been the perfect fit in that regard.
It really doesn't get much better than him being in the role of Punisher it was perfect there was one other actor that did a Punisher movie pretty damn good it was ray stevenson
