    This looks amazing I always wanted to get in this hobby but to start out it was like 400 bucks. Glad to see that this is available for a high quality drone on a budget

    • @boogeyratt
      @boogeyratt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Honestly, 400 buck isn't bad for a drone, transmitter, goggles, some batteries, and a charger. The fact that this is even less is phenomenal.

  • @Shauny_D
    @Shauny_D 4 ปีที่แล้ว +24

    An xt30 on there with real 2s batteries bumped me up from 6 minutes to 8.5 minutes of fly time AND it flys noticeably smoother.

    • @HafMpty
      @HafMpty 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What battery did you end up putting on here? And I’m assuming you did a single 2s battery @ 450mah vs two 1s batteries in parallel? Did you desolder the ph connectors and install the xt30? Total noob here.

    • @Shauny_D
      @Shauny_D 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes solder on xt30 but save the little.ph2 adapter and make an xt30/ph2 adapter just in case you want to use it again.
      I use both 2s 450 and 600 xt30 HV batteries. I don't really notice a difference between them except maybe an extra 30seconds of flight on 600's. If I push it hard lots of flips and hard punches I'll get 6 minutes if rolling around mixing in gaps and chill stuff I have gotten upto 11 minutes.

    • @HafMpty
      @HafMpty 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shaun Ortman this is helpful. Sorry for one more question. Do you remove both ph leads or is there only on wire with two leads soldered to it?

    I am new to FPV. I was just about to order an arris Explorer RTF kit, but after seeing this video I think I will order this kit first. I feel like this will be a great learning tool into FPV, and while I am growing with it I can continue studying, learning and finding great communities out there. Thank you so much for this video review.

    • @creamythroat
      @creamythroat ปีที่แล้ว

      kit is nice especially for a beginner. It can do all you need it to and more. Id suggest saving a few paychecks and getting some dji v2 fpv goggles and building a 5inch fpv with some high power motors for $300~ , you’ll need a controller though but great thing is a lot of receivers can be paired with other software type. Just do some research first. This route will cost around $700- $1000 depending on your hardware but it’s well worth it, and definitely a great way to experience the beginnings of what fpv can feel and look like to a pilot. They do sell pre built drones for around $150-$250+ if you don’t feel like building but to each their own. A custom done hanging on the wall would make me feel proud haha

    I've been hemming and hawing about stuff for months now. I bought a x9 Lite and been doing the sim stuff, but finally figured I'd go with this kit after watching many videos including your own. I figure my next purchase will be a decent set of goggles. Then I'll have the drone, the x9 lite, the goggles, and still have the box goggles for additional viewers and even a little back up controller to putz around with. Thanks for all the work!!

      @thedroneflights1158 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickweyer7471 Oh thank you, the drone is sent back to EMAX for now because the short circuit had broken the FC and other components. the + and - wires had connected inside the battery connector when I was pulling the battery out for charging. The two lines are not held in place by any glue other methods so a pull on the battery itself can break it. hope they can improve the battery next time!

    TH2F is a FANTASTIC quad.... the controller is absolute @$$... and the goggles are VERY cheap but suffice (shockingly). However, for a budget, you'd be better to get the BetaFPV LiteRadio 2 and probably either their box goggles or spend the little extra and get the EV800D box goggles from eachine. For the price, the full kit is obviously not bad at all, but now with the LiteRadio2 it's hard to justify ANY other budget controller and that EMAX box goggle has such a low resolution.

      @DY Inc. better controller, better goggles with dvr, better beginner quad. Can fly indoors or outdoors.. betafpv controller can also be used for other frsky d8 or d16 quads once you are ready to upgrade.

      You have to start sometime , 😎👍
      ( everyone was a beginner at some point , only practice is the only thing that changes that .

    loI I was wondering why there is no RTF kit for the Freestyle II when I bought mine a few weeks ago. Would've made my entry in the hobby a bit easier. Anyway, it's a nice drone and the RTF kit makes it even easier for beginners, which is nice. Also, thanks for mentioning the profiles. I was on profile 1 and tried some loops today and it seemed kinda slow. Now I'm gonna switch to profile 2 and see what happens.

    I ordered one a few days ago to wade into the FPV kiddy pool before jumping in the deep end. I do still have some questions though. For example, how much can this thing carry? I’m looking at the Akaso Keychain action camera but it tops out at 32 grams as opposed to the Insta 360 Go’s 20 grams. Do you think this little guy can handle that?

    Does anyone know if the goggles in the rtf kit will work with glasses ? That’s the only thing keeping me from buying this , I want to get into fpv so bad but I’m worried I’m gonna get this and the goggles won’t even fit in my head because of the glasses
