Beautiful Sanctuary for all the wonderful wild life. They sure have accepted you Shawn, as being part of their natural habitat. Scenery is breathtaking. Peace surrounds your wilderness home. Now you do have chatty chirping birds. Love to hear them sing.
One of the things I like is watching you solve different problems that initially seem insurmountable, at least to me. Like when you hooked up that cable over the top of the cabin to help you hoist those massive logs by yourself. I didn't know how the hell a person, alone, could manage that. Or now lifting that massive timber frame up into place. I like how you use your brain to figure out each issue and there always seems to be a way.
This video was absolutely amazing. Your filming, hard work building with such detail, showing work on the cabin inside, fantastic canoe water trip, in your garden, the aerial moose and beaver, fantastic music. Beautiful combination of nature and your work. It conveyed a peace and appreciation of living in the wilderness. Loved every second. But then, I really have enjoyed your videos. Every video just seems to get better. And of course, Calli. Good dog 😊

So glad your not dealing with the fire smoke but I'm sure those bugs are driving you crazy. I checked on line and found some fly masks for dogs or you could use a horse one too. Poor Cali. Ah, what a way to eat, sitting down on the lumber you cut, enjoying meat 🍖 you harvested from the wild. Cooking it over a wood burning stove. Reminds me when on my grandparents farm, deep in the woods of Maine, nearly seven decades in the past.

Although it's a mono mic I love the acoustics in the cottage, wood is such a wonderful material with the rounded surface on it.

Yeah, me too. The roof reminded me of a pagoda. It had a little curve to it on one side. The oven was great, too.
