The tire place is one of the spots I always end up hanging out while clearing West Point. It's pretty quiet once you clear the fields, tons of built in storage, and a small upstairs you can make secure for sleeping. Also: It's raining men
I've never found the tire store nearly abandoned; great luck. Is there not a VHS store in West Point? If you've read the mechanics book vol. 1 and watch just one of the Car Zone tapes you'll get level two mechanics. All you need then is 1 level of Electronic and you can hot wire those vans dotted around the town.
Only has a vhs store if you mod it in. He'll need to travel to muldraugh, riverside or louiseville for the nearest ones. Maybe even riverside may be the easiest and least zom infested route overall. Then again he has sunday driver so it'll take a week of driving instead of a day.
@@Retro-Iron11 Louisville is out of the picture and, this late in the play-through, Muldraugh and Riverside both would take a lot of fighting or creative pied-pipering to get to the stores.
@@egggnome6266 There is a hit vids just north of the main lv entrance past the military blockade, it's on the same main road. The crowds will be difficult. Muldraugh is the most straight forward but yea, sunday driver is a huge handicap. He could do the drive down the other road and attract them across from the dixie highway trick. In the end I think Billy should just make West point his. There's plenty of resources to just grind the skills. With the river and forest he could live there quite well once it's cleared.
@@Retro-Iron11 Yeah, it would be best, but working up mechanics would be dodgy in an unsecured location. You can get a couple levels in mechanics just by removing and replacing the lights, battery, and radio every day for about a week if you've 3 or 4 cars to work. Those zomboids sure do decide to be ninjas once you're under the hood of a car I've noticed. I've lost more characters fiddling with cars than to bathroom lurker mobs.🧟🧟♂🧟♀🙅♂🚙
@@egggnome6266 Once vehicles are in the garage area and doors closed it's pretty safe. Plus get the auto mechanics mod. It does all of the tedious click work for you. The time taken to do the tasks still passes and parts still break if you're not high enough level so it's not cheating, it's a definite qol mod.
Did you inflate the new tyres? You might have gotten lucky as usually new 100% tyres are flat and need pumping. We're in for a zom slaughter. Stay well armed and careful, that nearby church can be a pain too if you get too close from where the office building is. Hopefully there isn't a wedding event.
@@TheMickZed I recall that when you drove and the tyres fell off and why I asked. :) It's easy to forget as I knew that myself but also forgot. Yep, I did it too.

Towing as a Sunday driver is almost impossible.
I found that out the hard way :(
Yeah its a rough trait but I really wanted repairman and cook for this run and something had to give!

That tire shop is my favorite place to base while in westpoint.
I can see how it'd make a cool base
You could put all your car parts in the garage. If you'll remember. I'm the type that would forget lol
I would also forget haha
The ambulance had the key in the ignition, you could have got it to start with a little gas.
Good point!

I did inflate them yeah, I made that mistake once in the past and learnt from it!
