The desync in zomboid absolutely breaks physics sometimes. Me and a friend accidentally created Schrodinger's van when I desynced while he was driving. To me, I was sitting in the van in the middle of the road, the driver gone and zombies slowly surrounding me and beating on the van. To him, the host of the server, he had made it home and was safely inside the garage of the Rosewood fire station. He watched in horror and amazement as his safe, protected van started taking damage from unseen, untouchable attackers who were in *my* reality, several streets away. The van simultaneously existed inside the garage and out in the horde of zombies.
I did some research and it seems that having 2 players in the same car for too long is what causes so much desync so makes sense for a can to become a temporal anomaly

The developers added the door opening/closing mechanism without animation is because they were planning on adding that to build 41, but due to some other difficulties (I believe it’s due to modeling) it was temporarily scrapped and delayed to the next build
Theres a mod that adds animations, a mod that auto closes doors quickly and a mod that dings loudly at you if the door is open. Until 42 these mods are Important

Hey, IF you DO do this again, there's a mod to add animations to the vanilla cars in the game. If your using Fillbuster Rhyme's cars, there's a mod to add animations to those cars, too. IF you want a cool gun mod, that doesn't just add too many full autos and Overpowered weapons, try: "Vanilla Weapons Expansion". It's fairly light, and adds some nice Citizen weapons, too.
a cool twist would be more people + maybe there could be someone trying to sabotage and kill everyone indirectly, you should 100% do more of these videos though. i can hardly sit through project zomboid videos but this one was so good i kept watching all the way through.
I mean its actually a good idea, you can put bleach in drinks, put generators indoors, keep the stove on, remove the brakes from the car (idk if u can actually do that but if u can then thats amazing)

I generaly like to do roleplays and backstories do make the game interesting, and when im bored i make the caracter do stupid things like fracture a bone or start going insane

Hey! There is a mod in workshop called "Vanilla vehicles animated" that adds simple animations to all vanilla vehicles, so you can see if doors and windows are opened or clothed.
I love this kind of content and I'm for sure subbing, I can't wait to see a longer version of this, I could watch hours and hours of you guys play ha-ha.
It would be pretty awesome to see this again except with more people, I feel like having a larger group can lead to a lot more to be done where in some cases maybe people would split off into their own groups whatnot, always thought permadeath was an awesome idea for Zomboid and I think you did a wonderful job managing to survive for such a long period

Speaking of permadeath mode, the longest i play zomboid is around 2-3 months since the main threat of my character's survival isn't zombies, but me falling asleep then woke up to my survivor death. It's become a routine it desensitizes me! 🤣 I'm not even mad anymore losing my character that way! Anyway, are you going to make a series of this?
I would completely recommend getting the animated vehicles mod so that you can see open doors, open windows, open trunks etc and get the multiplayer syncing mod for it as well

Basically the door Animation is kinda coded in the game but the door problem is known. there are animations mods and some that work with mp. But in pz you learn from your mistakes.

For some long time I didn’t know you can respawn in Project Zomboid .__. It only gave me the quit menu so I would live up to 5 days as a newbie with no water or power surviving off convenience store sodas and snacks and curse the living hell out when I’d die lol
