I love that Dario really took their personal styles into account. He didn't try to make Keith super stylish or avant-garde, he chose shoes that Keith owns and a jacket that still fits his style. Same for the other boys! They look more stylish but they still look like themselves, which is so important.

I love when they have moments like that during the makeover eps when their first instinct is that it’s “girly clothes on men” but by the end of the ep they all embrace that it’s just a different style than men usually wear.
The same thing happens with other eps about masculinity. I love watching them break through that first instinct of what they’ve been taught

Except, see, there's this THING that happens with the silhouette when you combine the skirt and the broader male upper body. It makes this particularly elongated taper and smooths things into neat angles. Very nice effect. Think Neo from the Matrix when he took to wearing that clerical thing. Not the same as a woman in a skirt. That emphasizes curves. A man in a skirt emphasizes angles. 'Cause, ya know, different physiology.
