Thank you Manning for your efforts and time. You are full of experience and information. You mentioned Firm settlement and you said you will talk about it in a minute but time passed quickly. Thank you again.
A really great video! With your professional knowledge and skills, you give a very detailed description of the whole process, which really helps the asylum seeker to feel released due to huge unreasonable fear of the interview process.

I am from Kyrgyzstan. But I have Italian student visa ,so if I have come to Mexico and the USA border to apply to asylum ,will I be deny due my Italian visa? How important is coming from European countries ?
No, what you had to do is apply to asylum through filling a form that you can find in USCIS web page, then submitting this asylum application form. But, you have to do this submission within a 1year term after you arrived to US
@@politicalasylumlawyers i already enter and living in usa i apply for asylum uscis sent a letter to me the letter said dhs going to schedule a credible fear interview for me i want to konw if my credible fear interview is negative if they send me to detention or let me go to my house please help understand
My country has the highest mortality rate in the world and I'm really scared to go back home... but the political situation is okay- it's democratic country... Is that enough reason to ask for asylum
Because there's a rule that says you can't get asylum in the United States if, after leaving your country and before arriving in the United States, you were physically present in another country (a "third country") where you had permanent residence (or an offer to get it). It's called the "firm resettlement bar"

Why do they asked if you had residency in other countries or claiming asylum elsewhere.
