    The whole premise presented here is inaccurate, I think. If you read the amendment and its 2 prerequisites based on which the citizenship is to be obtained and the presidential order that was issued you can see it is not about the non-citizens' children born on American soil. It is about the children born in the US to illegal aliens because they were born off the jurisdiction of the American law, which is the second principle.

    • @eddiemarohl5789
      @eddiemarohl5789 3 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      That would imply that they are immune to criminal prosecution which they are not. Therefore they are under the Juristiction of the United States.

    • @raphtube75
      @raphtube75 37 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

      @@eddiemarohl5789 Well, at least your reply is reasoned and not a scream in the night, so a response is in order. If they are classified as illegal aliens they are not under the jurisdiction of the law, so their children are not either even when they are born in the land. Punitive actions against felonies does not correct their initial legal status because the action does not start in the fulfillment of the law but the opposite. Similar case would be that of invaders (there have been cases). That action and its consequences should be dealt with. How? Yes, according to the law, with its authority and because of those who are under its jurisdiction, citizens, legal residents, legal visitor, official guests and aliens allowed to stay and work, but the invasion per se does not allocate them under this jurisdiction. In plain language, they are here physically, should be treated according to the law but they are not entitled to the rights existing here, so their children born here are not automatically eligible for citizenship. That is a simple misconception here.

For him to be able to change the constitution on a whim would make him a dictator. He would be able to give himself a longer term and basically rid of any other due process.
