What is difference between scalar quantity and magnitude?

Hi, Magnitude has something numerical value and scalar quantity is magnitude without direction
there is no difference the quantity which have only magnetude are called scalar quantity
Scalar quantity means it shows only magnitude(number) like distance covered from a car is 300 km.So,it is a magnitude.
Magnitude is a number with proper unit like 3 km in this example 3 is the number and km is the unit . And scalar quantity is a quantity in which a magnitude is given like 20 kg but no direction is given
Difference between velocity and speed simple velocity is vector it is derivative of displacement and velocity derivative is acceleration..
It is a good way for me to learn during lockdown.
