Another video of great in-depth info! Most of your other vids are more solidly positive on Dell. It seems like you're souring now on some of their practices.

I appreciate that! The $300 14" inspron should not have a better screen, the $750 Latitude with the same battery last twice as long. For sub $800 this is a super good deal, but itys $1400 right now.

    Hi
Just discover your channel and liked your videos.
What did your recommand between a dell (which one) and asus zenbook 2023 oled x3405 ? Thanks :)

Dell XPS 14" would be something similar, but I cannot recommend that.
The keyboard is not good at all, regards of key placement and the touch only top function row(F1-F12) is absolutely horrible. Everything is integrated, even the Wi-Fi card.
Only the SSD is replaceable, but you have to reinstall windows from scratch or clone the m2 with some external adapter since we only have on SSD slot.
I don’t like the seamless touchpad either. If you go with RTX 4060, the performance is low. Even after a huge price drop on the XPS 14" the Asus ZenBook and the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 ( if you need a GPU) are better and more affordable as well.

Question: do you think dell will ever release 1500w PSUs for XPS 8960? They are under powered for AI usage

The Alienware Desktops has a 1500W power supply option , model number : Dell 800GY not sure if that would fit, other third party might fit with some adapters. The 460W power supply was enough for me with the 14900K+4060TI .

have a dell vostro 3500 i5 1135G7 2.4 Ghz 4 core 8 logical. 1 TB sammy 980 nvme, 16 GB ddr 4 ram, win 10 pro works great. Its never really moved of the desk. x may need a battery replacement next year ATM it works fine. hard wera monitor says wear level is 12% is the battery ok? wattage on battery is 42000mwh .so 42 watt battery i believe.

They can be great, even the Inspiron if we don’t have unrealistic expectation. Some of the cheaper Dells computers are great deals and they can also last for a long time. Sounds like your battery is doing fine, I don`t think that you will have to replace it anytine soon.

Can you help me? I'm thinking about getting an Inspiron 13 i7 1360p 16gb 4800 mt/s for programming. I really like the build of the latitude but the intel (u) and the ram speed kind of gets me thiking if would be better of with the Inspiron. The price difference is big too here

@@NicolasPwpo The laptop body and the screen are nice, Ram is onboard only, not upgradable. SSD should be upgradable, it looks nice, and this is a very small size laptop.
Since it`s physically small the cooling system is small as well, I wonder if the i7 CPU will be any faster than an i5 because of the throttling. The hot air will be blocked by the screen warming up everything around it. Probably will generate some fan noise and the battery life might not be the greatest. I know they are affordable; I would buy it from somewhere where you can return it without much hassle if you end up not liking it it.

Lazy job by Dell to create a Precision line with a Latitude body. Thus, I will never be a fan of a 3000s series laptops. Especially Precision 3000s series.
