    Loved the lighting in these photos. You really nailed it and your make up artist did such a great job with her makeup made the skin so clean.

    I had forgotten how much fun it was to work with a model that took directions perfectly. Thank you Lauren. Of course, your directions made it easy for her. Great job.

    Just curious, when you metered you said ISO 100. But all the exif info that popped up said ISO 50. JMHO, the last shot I would have liked a touch more light as the red fabric looked lost behind her.

    • @SalCincotta1
      @SalCincotta1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah i think i changed it as i was working to get 1 more stop of light. as for the lighting... i think you gotta allow for some video compression... i love the softness of the light in the image - i can see soft texture of the red... but im looking at the actual final image.

    Good morning from Brazil Sal, man I love your light, excellent video lesson, but let me ask "again" where can you use a polarizing filter in the studio? I know it's used for reflections, turbo blue sky, but I saw some photographers that they It can also help with the color contrast of looks and remove shine from the models' faces. Is that right? What is the advantage of this filter in the studio, hugs my enlightened friend.

    • @SalCincotta1
      @SalCincotta1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ty my friend. as for filter - i have no idea. i cant think of a single reason i would use a polarizing filter in the studio. i mean it makes sense to cut down on shine, but i dont know why i would opt for that vs having makeup actually fixed. that seems easier that trying to use filters, etc. so i cant personally answer that one for you - sorry brother. :)

    I have noticed in this and other videos of yours that you touch your models but you don't ask their permission first. While you may do this, the role-modeling this appropriate behavior in your videos would be beneficial to photographers, especially those new to working with models.

    • @SalCincotta1
      @SalCincotta1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well... do hmua ask permission? what am i asking permission for? did you feel i was inappropriate? its weird when people make it weird. i have a set with 5 females on it. these are people and relationships i have with people... if we are all comfortable thats all that matters. i cant "set the example" of how to not be a weirdo in every video i create. These are people ive been working with for years and know personally. if WE are ok with it - THAT is all that matters. right? :)
