Silvuddy's Notes continued: - Vs. Guardian Deity: This theme is tribal in every sense of the word, fitting for a battle with the guardian avatars of the Alolan islands. Listen close and you can hear some references to the Island Kahuna theme! - Vs. Ultra Beast: This is easily the weirdest battle theme you'll hear in a main series title. I mean combining phasing synths with sitar is just one of the most bizarre things you can do, but it really works for these otherworldy monsters! - Battle Royal: Possibly the most forgotten battle theme ever, and probably for good reason, lol. It's kinda fun but ultimately lackluster. - Vs. Battle Legend Red/Blue: Wowie wow, getting a brand new composition for the original duo themselves, with references to both their original themes? Too perfect. - Vs. Team Rainbow Rocket Grunt / Giovanni: USUM bringing this theme back was super fun. It might not go as hard as the HGSS version, but the slowed down remix has some fun elements, including the brief inclusion of 8-bit sound effects and the Rocket encounter theme at the start! Giovanni also finally gets his own battle music, albeit an arrangement of the Johto Rocket theme rather than completely new music. But this orchestral rock version of the theme really cements Giovanni as a threat not to be trifled with, especially when he tosses out a Mega Mewtwo in your face! - Rainbow Rocket Leader Remixes: I honestly wasn't expecting to get new remixes of the past Leaders' themes, given that the Battle Tree contestants in Sun and Moon didn't get any new remixes (still mad about not getting a Colress remix, by the way!) Each of these remixes totally reworks the original themes, giving each one unique characteristics compared to their original versions. I would say I enjoy these remixes as much as the original counterparts, because they're just so fun and different!
I love how the Elite 4 type deal had a theme like you're about to fight Death! Irks me that the Champion theme doesn't have that same intensity, imo. I mean, the beginning is neat with a rather iconic tune in the franchise, but it kinda lost it for me from there. /shrugs But Guzma, the legendaries, UBs, and RR themes (including leaders) were all amazing as well! Same with those guys from USUM who had Poipole. Forgot their titles, lol. Just leaving this in the background as I work on OC stuff. xD
Agreed. It’s probably my bias as Moon was the first game I ever got but hey I don’t care this is peak. I made so many friend at school because of these games. And I have not enjoyed any other Pokémon game as much as I enjoyed these ones. They’re so good!

Irks me that the Champion theme doesn't have that same intensity, imo. I mean, the beginning is neat with a rather iconic tune in the franchise, but it kinda lost it for me from there. /shrugs

Agreed. It’s probably my bias as Moon was the first game I ever got but hey I don’t care this is peak. I made so many friend at school because of these games. And I have not enjoyed any other Pokémon game as much as I enjoyed these ones. They’re so good!
