That is a spicy little RC on 4S! Almost to spicy. When you can flip it backwards on the top end that saying something, it's a beast of a car if you can control it great content, man.

Thank you sir! I'm working on fixes now to keep these 40 + mph wheel stands down, the steering slop/looseness also. It will literally wheelie at over 40 with just a tiny touch of full throttle, a bleep, and it will wheelie as long as you can control it. We will get you fixed up as well!

Also, 1 more thing! Make sure you watch the videos coming up soon on the LAEGENDARY Thunder! It's a much larger truck, longer wheel base, wider track width, has already went 77.23 mph on 3s but shredded the slipper clutch! Got all that fixes, done some personal suspension, steering tuning, upgraded to a 150 amp ESC that's 2s-6s compatible. I'll say this, don't want to spoil any video, I substantially went faster than the previous 77.23 mph, still on 3s, swapped in a mild 4s battery and broke 88 mph, I won't say much more for now 😉

Nice attempts. It is hard to control on 4s for sure! What works good for me for speedruns is to have it at full speed around when it passes me (stand in the middle of the length you have available for speedruns so you maximize your range and time you can stay in the throttle. Also, the GPS we run are great (so durable) but the refresh speed is slow (maybe every .5 seconds or so, so when accelerating hard it may register 40 when you are going closer to 50 for example. If you can keep it at full throttle for a few seconds, it helps guarantee you are getting the max speed that the truck reached.
Yeah, the play in the steering is excessive!

One time I hit a stop sign head on smack dab in the center of the bumper and the rear dog bones both popped out 😂. Chassi was broke under the steering area . It was back when I was new with a hbx 16980sa . It was 3s moving fast , prob 40 mph . Since then , I don’t do speed runs on the road . I go to a nice lot like all the smart people .

I've got a older Hosim someone gave me, i converted it to brushless, it would run put about 54 mph and I hit a concrete light pole, full speed, the car literally exploded, disintegrated 🤣 , the steering linkage broke, that's what caused the wreck

Where is this $109 ? Thanks

This isn't $109, the LAEGENDARY thunder is $109 right now on Amazon, I will have a coupon code soon that laegendary claims they're sending me, and it is hands down the better truck. They both run out about the same speed stock, well the Thunder is 47.23 mph, my HbX hit 46 completely stock but the laegendary is a truth 1/10 scale, much longer wheelbase, much wider track width and a 1000 times more stable at any speed. You can almost buy 2 Thunder trucks for the price of 1 HBX 2997a
