@@JThelen1031 there’s a point on one of the courses where another guy filming Josh run asks “can I make a reel about those tires” Josh says something like “I’d rather you wait but I can’t stop you”. They’re obviously new, obviously vanquish, and based on what you said about the tread, obviously Yokohama
Great driving, the buggy looks awesome. I won't say anything about the tires but they look awesome too. Looked like a blast of a competition glad y'all had fun 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘☕️🤘
That was some awesome driving Josh! My hats off to who ever drove better than you to earn 1st, 2nd, 3rd places wow. The ability you have at comps is top notch. What tires were you running?
at about 26:14 someone asks if they can post the reel about them tires, and Josh says he'd prefer not but if they're in it, they're in it. So my guess is something un-released. Great driving, great rig, and it looks like it was a blast!
Congratulations!!!...that was a sick rig bro...i agree with the comments...kudos to Matt for making you look like a pro in the vid...but i was waiting for more side comments from Matt...you both look and sound so serious 😂
Great work man. Truck did pretty damn good. Some super tricky lines. Very cool. Like thise tires. Wonder who makes those.... Haha 😎👍👍 Congrats on 4th place.
After all the time it takes to build one when I see it tumble I cringe but that’s what there for ! Tires look sweet I didn’t notice sidewall wrinkle as much as others !
Great driving, Josh. Do you think you will try the radiomaster gyro for rear steer so you can cut down time on rear steer adjustment? There appeared to be some time taken to get the rear steer to the desired angle from time to time in the runs.
I'm curious here- all crawling competitions seem to be courses setup that no one gets to practice on and of course I understand the rationale, but do y'all think that introducing some limited amount of practice time could open up new varieties of competition?
I don't, even just the opportunity to run on a course for 2 or 3 mins before a course would totally alter the results and make everything much easier. It would reward drivers more who weren't able to think on their feet as well, which I feel is an important aspect of comping.
@@HarleyDesignsInc yeah, that would be the case if you kept the same format otherwise. But I'm thinking of entirely new kinds of competitions that would be more feasible with some practice. I dunno, I'm just thinking out loud. It also comes from the fact that in RC racing, the practice is pretty essential, so was just pondering bringing some of that into crawling...
I'm fairly certain they're Yokohama Geolandar X-MTs. Tread pattern is identical, although the sidewall is blank on them here. They also don't look stretched on the wheel, so my money is on Vanquish releasing them as both 2.2 and 1.9s.
Hey Josh, just a heads up, if ya visit da UK don't bring dem shorts, n don't wear long socks pulled all da way up.😂😅 just a little bit a valuable information, may save ya life 😅😂, Nice run, btw who's da camera man? He's awesome 👌😅😂😂
For this type of truck I really wanted an accurate look and stance. That was more important to me than anything else. The super low ride of this was something that I needed to get used to but overall I wouldn't change it.
Was it killin' you, Josh, just knowing that that scale metal cage was raising that CG by a few thousandths? And you instructed Matt to use his winch to suck it down, but you didn't use/run one. Was that to keep weight low?
One thing I love about WE RC ROCK is that their is a minimum weight of 7lbs and the metal cage is required unless you want a healthy penalty. I love buggies so much that I never thought once about the weight penalty! I had matt use his suck down winch on this truck because of the height of the leaf springs. This truck rides at nearly full compression already, so there wouldn't have been a use for the suck down winch.
Geolandar X-MT in 2.2 size. Calling it now.
I concur. Must be a new scale tire coming from vanquish
@plukensteinpaint There's a few spots where you get a good look at the tread pattern. Pause it and go look at the X-MT, it's identical.

Yes he did! It was because he didn't have to worry about spotting me :) He was too busy calling penalties on me!

Great video Josh, kudos to the cameraman. Looks like a great event.
The filming and video quality far exceeds Matt’s video 😆
It's because I was too busy yelling at Matt to film as nicely as he did!
@@HarleyDesignsInc 🤣
Those gates were tough , good driven
That rig looks sick on the 2.2s and your rear steer work is so clean and smooth nice driving
Dammit, I knew I should've waited to order 2.2's for my optic 😖
Looking like Genius tyres. This makes me wanna get a 4ws rig
I love that place! Takes me back. Thanks Josh.
Matt definitely slayed that filming! Great driving!

WOW that is some AMAZING skill and driving no way i could even walk on those rocks like that Congratz
fantastic truck and stunning location, top driving
Solid wheelin’..tires look rad!🔥🤘
Nice driving Josh!! Looks like a really fun time.
It was an absolute blast! Can't wait to do it again.
Nice driving, with almost no time driving prior to this. Nice capable rig. Awesome job Josh! Well done.
It was awesome to drive it, the whole truck was very predictable. I used geometry that was pretty familiar to me though so I had high hopes!
Great video - looks like that was an amazing event!!
Wow great angles and video quality
Matt is pretty good at that stuff!
Nice driving, well done! Looks like the new rig was a blast on the trails, awesome!
Congratulations on 4th Josh. Nice driving and great looking buggy
The video we’ve all been waiting for 😂😂😂, turn up,dig down down down dOWN DOWNN! Know your driving is on point
Great driving Josh, specially the use of rear wheel steering. Have you ever considered putting together a rock crawling DRIVING tutorial video??
Now that's a turning radius...
nice stuff.
Man those 2.2 wheels and tires look great
Great job Josh and Matt both! Looks like it was a great time!
outstanding show great lines , your buggy did great, hats off,,,
Truck looked amazing and I think i learned some gate tricks too. Should probably hold off on 2.2 tire purchase for a minute too apparently.

I don’t know anything about any reels or tires….great video Josh. We’ll see you guys soon.👍
26:35 LOL
What a journey it's been to get to that point. Nice driving Josh, you really did look like a professional.
Matt did a pretty decent job on that side of things!

Congrats on 4th place.
Everyone kept saying 2.2 was dead lol. So glad to see the opposite lately
Awesome! Looks to me like that buggy should just stay as your 2.2.
I can say that I do love it on the 2.2's as well. But I think I like the look on the 1.9 even more. I may go with a 2.2 wheel on 1.9 tires even.
Nice video Matt. You should have been telling Josh the opposite of what to do. Lol. Nice job Josh. I will see you guys there next year.

Great driving, Josh. Do you think you will try the radiomaster gyro for rear steer so you can cut down time on rear steer adjustment? There appeared to be some time taken to get the rear steer to the desired angle from time to time in the runs.
I doubt that I will, just because how much you have to move around on the rocks would make the rear steer wiggle all over the place.

1.9 and 2.2 unlimited run 4WS, Pro Mod doesn’t allow 4WS.

The wheels are out, those are 2.2 KMC Riots. Tires are definitely new and unreleased.

Where can I find the rules for the cars
In previous videos in this series I had a link to the FB page.
Yeah. What are the tires? We RC rock requires licensed scale tires. I can’t pick what those are.
I was trying to figure it out as well...look very similar to Gmade 1905...maybe they copied their tread from whatever this tire's real equiv is.
Yokohama Geolander X-MT
