In this extreme winter van life series, I have now entered Norway! And I'm on route further north in my self built camper van.
So far on this off grid camper adventure, things have got off to a rocky start. But the plan for this episode is to find the snow, and reach the famous Atlantic road! Winter van life is becoming my favourite thing!

I really do hope that what you dream you will get , as last night I dreamt that I was in an inflatable paddling pool filled with warm custard , alongside Charlize Theron , Bet Lynch off of Coronation Street , and Kat Slater off of Eastenders in a naked wrestling competition , all whilst Danny De Vito was standing on top of a set of step ladders at the side of us , shouting out encouragement through a loud hailer . Meanwhile the onlooking crowd was made up of every single school teacher I ever had through my education , and Len Goodman was sitting to one side and he kept repeatedly sitting down and then standing up shouting “ SEVEN “ . And as if that wasn’t crazy enough , my two ( now departed nans RIP ) was sitting shaking their heads in disappointment , and Richard Marley was comparing for a live ITV broadcast . Now that would be AWSOME if that came true !
Technically the Fiat is a Ferrari 🙄

You've outdone yourself with this series Adam! Every episode is such a treat.
Also, the pant thing on your bottles/cans is to encourage recycling, so you can just bring them to most grocery stores and they have pant machines, which will give you a voucher for the pant amount at the store

Pant is for recycling I think..... they add a small charge which you can get back when you bring the items back and get a voucher for the shop.
This! It's like a pawn, you get it back when you take the empty bottles (or packages) back for recycling
We have that in Germany, too. Here, it's called Pfand, so Pant sounds about right. 😊

As with many countries, Norway collects and recycles plastic. But for plastic drinks bottles and aluminium drinks cans, there's a completely different system. The “pant” in Norway is the deposit you pay whenever you buy a drink in a plastic bottle or aluminium can from a Norwegian supermarket.

Pant is the money payed for plastic bottles, to make sure you bring it back to recycle and nott throw it somewhere.....lots of countries in Europe do so!😊
Pant is like a deposit on a bottle, you return the bottle or container and you get your deposit back
The glowing lights are the light of a town or village being reflected on low hanging clouds.
Most likely a gas plant with there gas flare up. We have one local to us and it has same effect..
A top tip for you mate. When you are parking up on snow for the night. Don't just drive in and stop. Drive forwards and backwards 3 or 4 feet about 3 or 4 time's. The warmth of the tyre's if you just stop will melt the snow a little which in turn mean's you will sink into an icy rut and the morning will be seeing you stuck. The driving forward's and backward's will allow the tyre's to cool and help prevent you getting stuck in you own rut. Remember Hell is where you need to go!

I ended my life living in apartments, bought a companion to mount on the hook and this is how I will keep living from now on, exploring anywhere and everywhere because all of Norway is my home now and there is no way I'm going back to live in a little box on just one set location, that's no life for me, I'm free...
Having visited lapland and sweden in the Arctic circle, the one thing that blows peoples minds from the pictures i took were the pictures of actual snow flakes. The unique crystalline structure rather than the cold wet blobs we get in the UK. Apart from the snaps i took a few weeks ago when it was -5. Goddammit, I'm old and sad. 😂

I visited Tromso, Narvik and Alesund in November last year... incredible... Northern lights were so surreal
If I ever get my van built, that's where I want to go.... and that road is one of the most picturesque ever.

A pant is a deposit you pay for complete packaging such as soft drinks bottles/cans etc. When you have finished drinking, you take the packaging to the store, deliver it to pantemachines that are often at the entrance and get the deposit back.

When driving in snowy weather / white out in daylight , use your sunglasses !
Then you see the contours better.

And put on 130-150 studs in each tire, that`s legal .
