Grab a can of winter window washer fluid (eg -36C proof) which has alcohol in it. You can pour it into yout sink and gray water thank to keep them from freezing. (Also put that stuff in your washer fluid tank of course) 👋🏻🇫🇮
@@Adz True, the fluid only works if you have trouble with the holding tank or valves which are under water ie in contact with the fluid. Safe travels, mate!
If the Jelly Bean could see you know : ) Congratulations Adz you only went and did it, the drone shots, the scenery and your editing are off the scale. It a stunning place that you are in for sure, drive safe and thanks for sharing your dream with us.
I assumed you up'd your antifreeze up to 50%, or whatever they recommend nowadays. Don't put two wheels off the road, or you may not get back on. Just realised it is almost 50 years to the day I was where you are now, except I was hitch hiking.
So it’s official, not only are you nuts, but an intrepid Adzventurer with bollox the size of footballs. Full respect for doing something that few could only dream off. Thanks for sharing it mate 👍🏻
The reason why the hgv beept was because you indicated that you were turning off bit last minute. Hgv's are doing 90km on the snow and need time to slow down if you turn. The can't slam the brakes on like on a dry road. ( I'm a European hgv driver myself)
If you get an usb mug warmer or similar, a cigarette lighter would be brilliant and run it to where your sink runs out, the warmer air should clear the sink, then just don't let it be filled, actually it's probably only blocked at the exit if you don't have an S bend.
You can get a wire that heats up and wrap it around the frozen drain pipes - just switch it on to melt them. (I got one from a garden centre for warming the soil to start seedlings off early)@@Adz
Wow Adz the footage is absolutely stunning !! Please be careful getting out of the van in just a sweatshirt if the central locking goes you will be stranded with no coat 🥶 I know I sound like your mum but I was getting anxious 🤣🤣 xxx
I hadn’t thought of that 😂 but yeah I rarely bother with a jacket or gloves unless I know I’ll be out for a long time. Maybe I should leave emergency gloves outside 😂
Keep in mind that driving at 40 mph in -20 F generates a wind chill of -85 F. The battery stops charging, brakes freeze, windows crack, and motor fuel turns to slush even if not frozen due to condensation in the fuel. Two other Arctic adventurers are not filing videos on schedule. Know when to turn back before the worst happens.
Three things have amazed me during this vlog, 1 is a absolutely amazing video and one i would like to do one day, 2 your hand brake works and 3 the thermopro's work, all in all bloody epic and the scenery is better than a old FHM magazine . 👍👍
Come across your channel when you started this Arctic trip, excellent content mate. Your a brave man doing this all by yourself, really hope your channel takes off so you can continue doing amazing videos like this. Looking forward to the next one
Yet another amazing video Adam, well done on reaching the circle, drive safe and looking forward to the next episode! You deserve way more followers on YT.
You should be able to rig up a camera on top of a coffee mug, just a plastic cover, maybe with a glove or similar, or it stays warm while filming outside.
Honestly you didn't miss much with the Arctic Circle Centre, it's basically just a big gift shop. When I was there last summer it was 20+ degrees and I stopped for an ice cream. Clearly I need to up my game and visit in winter some time.
Wow! Kudos to you taking that drive on Adam! I’m apprehensive when there’s an inch of the white stuff or slush here in Blighty so I’d imagine I’d be as white as the snow driving through that! Awesome scenery and can’t wait for the next one! Stay safe 👍🏻
I love how you screw studs into your tyres. I’ve just had my low profile tyre repaired again from yet another screw in my tyre, causing a slow leak. The fun of living in a new build suburb. Therefore I could never screw anything into a tyre, not sure if I would choose to change the tyres to snow tyres or learn to use chains. As an Australian as far as I’m concerned snow is for skiing not driving. LOL. I’ve just found your channel and I’m loving your artic adventure. 😊
You did not miss to much at the arctic circle center, a good but expensive elk burger menu and a lot of souvenirs. This place is pretty crowded with RV´s in the big season anyway. The Lofotes however are absolutely worth the trip. However I fear most of the must sees there should have been shut down for winter as well. There is a Wiking Longhouse Museum in the South that is really great to visit (but will be shut down as well I fear)
Wow, Adz!! The footage you are getting on this trip just blows me away. Some truly stunning videos 😊 You're documenting the trip of a lifetime in the most spectacular way. It truly is next level! I really do hope your channel blows up as you have put so much work into the whole thing, you 100% deserve to have so many more subs! Literally on the edge of my seat watching this series, can't wait for the next one! Also slightly baffled how you're doing it all just wearing your ordinary clothes!? Are you not freezing? 😂
Thanks so much! Yeah I definitely put all my time and effort into this channel! I’m going to keep at it and hopefully one day something really takes off! And yeah there’s definitely been points when I’ve got very cold. Mainly just my hands though because I rarely wear gloves. It makes it hard to use the cameras with gloves on!
I am about to drive into the Swiss Alps in a week and was all concerned with freezing cold temperatures while staying in the van…feel ready for it after watching this trip of yours 😂😂
Hey Ad, loving catching up with your Arctic trip so far. Its good to see the freedom you have created. Videos are great as usual and the drone shots are just incredible. Fair play for you doing all of this on your own what an achievement, its super inspiring to see. Take care, drive safe and happy travels 🤙🏻✌🏻
Great video, not sure if someone has mentioned it but for your sink. I have seen videos from others in the artic who have been using cordless power tool heat guns to melt frozen pipes etc underneath/outside the van
Wow! What an adventure and a great video. You have travelled so far since I saw you on Mel's videos in the barn. It looks freezing cold though. We have just returned from Morocco where we had +25 degrees C. That seems really weird...
You need to buy yellow sun glasses for driving . Great in the winter takes the glare from the snow away . Makes it easier to see .. also spray can of de-icer might be handy at sometime. Mushrooms in Norwegian.... sopp also champions French used on food as well ..
You see those black lines going across your map? The clue is the Arctic Circle runs parallel to those (and doesn't veer wildly off as it approaches Russia!) 😄😄 Are you going to meet up with Eva zu Beck? She's driving up to Nordkapp through Sweden.
Loving these videos mate, it’s great to see how far you’ve came from a little caddy to an Arctic adventure in the Pigeon. Keep up the good work 👊🏻 Hope you’re having a blast 👌🏻
Pigeon power 💪 Never been but watched lots of videos of lofoten,beautiful-stunning location and looking forward to seeing your next video 👍 Atb John 🏴
Good stuff. Hey, can you tell us a bit about your van and how you prepared it for winter driving perhaps. Also, do you get lonely out there, not many people about. Thanks. Leigh
Grab a can of winter window washer fluid (eg -36C proof) which has alcohol in it. You can pour it into yout sink and gray water thank to keep them from freezing. (Also put that stuff in your washer fluid tank of course) 👋🏻🇫🇮
And if all that fails, just drink it 😊
Unfortunately it’s the pipes freezing underneath the van so it’s not somewhere that the washer fluid could sit
@@Adz True, the fluid only works if you have trouble with the holding tank or valves which are under water ie in contact with the fluid. Safe travels, mate!
Vodka doesn't freeze . Get cheap vodka from Aldi
Good to know you're keeping that number plate nice and clear.
It’s my favourite job each morning! 😂

She’s here in spirit! Thanks so much as always!
Skilled story teller, absolutely knows his audience isn't bothered about clearing a number plate ! 😉🤣 absolutely right! 😜 stay safe in the Arctic! 🙌
When you stumble upon a random video...and spend the next 5 hrs drooling over them... arctic circle...unreal. keep it up fella
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the series!
Adz many thanks for bringing we viewers on your magnificent journey plus you are as funny as fook 🤣🤣👍❤
Definitely one of the best original TH-cam channels love your random outbursts class 🤣😂
I'm so happy you didn't give up & go back home when you had the issue with the heater 💪👏👏

Yeah I’ve made soooo many memories :) it’s been amazing! Thank you :) x

I wasn't sure if pigeons could fly in freezing weather but so far, so good. Keep trucking!

It was blocked underneath the van. I could use a heat gun to clear it but it’d just keep happening
You can get a wire that heats up and wrap it around the frozen drain pipes - just switch it on to melt them. (I got one from a garden centre for warming the soil to start seedlings off early)@@Adz
Would love to see more of the adventure - more local info, more living in the van, more cooking, more!! Thanks

Lofoten legendary ski spot. You’re gonna love it
This is proving to be a delightful video series. No surprise - all your videos are delightful. Stay safe and warm!
Now don't forget that The Empire Strikes Back Star Wars happened not far from where you are, at Finse. So yes, it's another planet. What a trip!
All the textures you’ve used in your van give it a great look and feel 👍🏻
Great video and really good to see the Arctic circle centre in its current conditions our plan is to be there on May 1st when it reopens.

Yes going well. So glad. Looks incredible!

Changing your headlights will help visibility majorly. Look into yellow headlights. It cuts through the snow and fog.

Amazing video, the Arctic Circle is simply beautiful. The pasta skit was very funny. I wish it was cold here in Texas, it got up to 36.1c/ 97f today.
Happy camping
