@sweetpeasjax I just got a chest piece 2 been working out back legs no and been fine but itching to workout chest it's been 2 weeks and 2 days so far I think I'm fine I just need extra advice
If you have a new/healing tattoo, just skip the gym for two weeks. Coming from somebody whose obsessed with lifting for the aesthetic and mental wellbeing benefits, the cons outweigh the pros. For my first half sleeve (forearm), and innerbicep tattoo, I continued working out, and it absolutely healed worse/noticeably more patchy and faded then now where I take a full two weeks off. Especially when your tattoo starts scabbing and drying out, stretching and causing friction in that area with resistance/weights will cause cracking in the skin and when it heals you will clearly see the loss of ink
Two weeks is excessive imo. Just don’t do anything that irritates the newly tattooed area. I started working out a few days after my forearm tattoo. It doesn’t bend or stretch in any way, so working out doesn’t affect it.

Hi Martin, Thank you for the great video and tips, appreciated. I'm doing crossfit and already have 2 new tattoos for which I've used and currently using the black healing balm which helped immensely and after max 3 weeks of rest I went back to training without problem. I believe it's important to respect your new tattoo like an investment and take care of it properly, in this way you are not only healthy but also have a long lasting piece of art on your skin till being old. Hav en god dag!
Thanks for your feedback Stefan! We are glad you could use Martin's tips together with our Sorry Mom Balm to ensure a long lasting, vibrant tattoo :) Taking care of a new tattoo is a vital part of getting a tattoo, and you can tell the difference easily between a proper healed tattoo or a bad healed tattoo. We hope you enjoy your new pieces of art and stay healthy!
Hey Monsieur, congratulation on your new tattoo, if you can wait a bit longer, we recommend that, but if you are going, listen to your body and as you wrote start lightly
hello Johannes, as Martin says in the video start slow, let the tattoo/legs rest for about a week and then start from there. Optimal 2 weeks would be even better, we always recommend that you prioritize letting the tattoo rest and heal for as long as possible, but after a week you should be out of the critical stages of the healing process. // Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello, we recommend that you keep steady for at least 2 weeks before starting working out again. However if you need to go to the gym, yes shower at home, wear loose cloths so your tattoo does not get friction. Also start slow and listen to your body. Jacob - Sorry Mom Shop
hii, thank you for the video, I got s small underbust tattoo yesterday (my first tattoo) and I wanted to go back to working out tomorrow. I will be working legs, so the sweat worries me a little, but I'll be sure to clean the tattoo constantly and drying the sweat off. I'll also use a baggy shirt and avoid bras so I don't have pressure or rubbing on it. Is it still not recommendable to work out taking those things into consideration? thank you
Hey Daniel, yes your need to be careful with hand tattoos. Hand tattoos often need a retouch anyways because most people use their hands for work every day. So by working out while they are healing does not add to the healing process it takes away. I would wait at least 2-3 weeks if it was hands tattoos. Jacob - Team Sorry mom
Hi mate I’m a fighter and I’m getting a full chest piece done but I have muay tai training the next day my chest won’t be touched but I don’t no if I should go
Hello Luke, we would recommend you to combine some time off with getting you tattoo. You risk permanent damaging you tattoo, leaving it with blowout or, infection etc. thats why i would recommend at least a week of, 2 if it is possible. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello TJ, Your tattoos do not care about which level of sports you play on, one can argue the more intense you train, the more chance you have to mess up the tattoo. You need to think about it like this: the more you rest the faster your tattoo heal, you want your tattoo to heal as fast as possible. If you work out you slow down the proces and the healing period becomes longer. You also risk damaging the tattoo which could be a permanent. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello Michael! I do not know that much about dancing, other than im pretty bad! However as i understand it, dancers go pretty hard and sweat a lot. We recommend you to wait 2-3 weeks before going back, if you decide to go on thursday, i would recommend you to think about this: If you fall, scratch or the tattoo rubs against your close, you risk it being damaged for the rest of your life. If you are not concerned about these things, you are not gonna fall or create friction between the tattoo and your clothes go for it. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓
Hi ! I got a new half sleeve tattoo from my shoulder to my elbow and after fully peeled off and ı think healed. 16 days after this tattoo I went to the stadium to watch a crazy match and my arm was very active. and then I played a tough soccer game 24 days after my tattoo I ran a lot. I wondering Will all these activities damage my tattoo? Another thing I'm wondering is, what kind of damage can do moving the tattooed area except healing process, can it ruin the tattoo under the skin? Or does it just delay healing?
Hi i just got a half sleeve and i work at a warehouse in the refrigerator section lifting heavy boxes of food should i ask for a couple days off or is it okay fro me to go back after 48hrs?
Hello probably not going to get a response. I just got a tattoo on my upper left arm. Biceps. I was just wanting to shoot a little basketball. Just an hour per day. You think that's ok? Btw i got my tattoo on Thursday. It's Tuesday now.
Hello sir. the size and placement does not matter. You still risk damaging the skin, if you work out. However small tattoos often heal a lot faster then large tattoos, but to be safe i would take 1-2 weeks off. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom ⚓
Bro I did calf tattoo on leg..nt big but medium one...so tmmw my tattoo getting one week completed..so can I go to play football on beach or either grass?
Hello, the problem with playing football is, that you risk hitting the tattoo, which can affect the final result if you get it scratch up. So ill recommend that you wait a week or 2. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Got a tattoo on my inner forearm 2and a half weeks ago, it’s pretty much past the peeling just a little here and there. Do you think it would be alright to go to the gym with out a long sleeve shirt, can I go back to being sleeveless? Hope that’s makes sense thanks !
Hi! I'm gonna get my elbow done this week. My question is, what's the best way to keep the tattoo from getting ruined since I wear long sleeves for work?
Hello Gabriel! We recommend that you use tattoo film for the first couple of days, after that you should be fine. wear as loose clothes as possible to avoid friction and remember to keep the area moist.
@@SorryMomTattoo thanks a ton for response today my artist covered it up with some derma tatoo film asked me to not open till 7 days But im already dying to go gym 🙃😭
It depends on how the tattoo heals up during that first week.. I have done it with great results myself, but I have also messed up my new tattoo by playing soccer with a fresh tattoo. Just make sure to take good care of it
Would you say its OK to weight train on day 5 as iv just had a head tattoo done last Thursday. I'd put a aftercare cream on for extra protection .but I'd bath at home not at that the gym. When is it safe to not have to wrap my head tattoo for bed please . Thank u
Hey, I just got my Bicep tattooed 4 days ago and have a basketball game tomorrow, do you suggest I wear a full sleeve shirt to cover it perhaps? Or maybe just skip the game?
Hi there! It will highly depend on the exact placement. However, we wouldn't recommend laying on your new tattoo for the first 2 weeks. Our recommendation would be to find alternative exercises to your routine until the tattoo is healed and ready to roll again :)
Hello William, i would wait a week or two, the tattoo is going to be on your body for the rest of your life. By grabling you risk scraping your back/tattoo on the floor and mess it up for good. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Give it some days until you feel the tattoo not being so sensitive that it hurts when you touch it with your bra. I'd probably skip running for a week or so!
I’m getting my shoulder done today, can I do legs for the next two days and then hit lights shoulder after 48 hrs. And should I cover it up with something and with what so I don’t get bacteria in the gym on my tattoo?
Hello Roberto! We here at sorry mom would recommend you to wait a bit longer, and start up light. but if you cant wait cover it with cling film or something like that and wear lose cloths so it do not get friction from the cloths. So in short if you can wait a bit longer you dont have to cover it up, you just need to wear lose cloths. Always remember to keep it clean aswell! // Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello Derv, We recommend that you wait around 2 weeks before working out your arms and maybe 5-7 days before you can train your lower body. Then start slow and listen to your body, but 2 weeks is recommended. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Just got a tattoo behind my ear pretty small, went for a run and completely forgot about it, on the first day I got it, will it cause any damage, not going for any more runs until the skin heals.
Hello Sean, im going to respond to both your questions in this thread. Question Nr. 1 there will not necessarily be any permanent damage from one run. Question Nr. 2 Yes, its a mixture of sweat , excess, body fluid and blood.
Hello Josh! I would wait around 2-3 weeks, because you risk friction on the tattoo if you wear the belt which can lead to permanent damage. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓
@@SorryMomTattoo about to get my rib piece done later 😊 one last question, what about a chest piece that I’ll be getting this friday, is it safe to bench press? There’s a slight stretch on the chest with the bench movement pattern. Thanks again!
hey there, great video! I just got a tattoo 2 days ago on my upper thigh and have table tennis in a few days. is it still okay for me to go and do that or should i wait longer. it will have been 5 days from when i got it for my session. also, when is it safe for me to go to the beach for when it will definitely get sandy?
Hey Jared! Being unsure how hard you go on your table tennis it’s hard to say. I think table tennis should be fine, but you should avoid scratching your tattoo agains the table. As for going to the beach and getting sandy I’d recommend waiting till your tattoo is completely healed - minimum a few weeks.
If you have a new tattoo and you want to go to the store but the sun is out. You are driving to the store but of course you have to get out of the car. Does that mean you have to cover up your tattoo? Or when they say don't expose your new tattoo to sunlight they mean don't go to the beach or lay out in the sun? All people say is don't expose it to sunlight. Do they mean literally don't get caught in the sun or they mean extreme cases of just being out in the sun for hours?
Hello Again Mr. Wolf! They do not mean literally :) Your tattoo is not going to get ruined by 5 mins in the sun. However you should avoid direct sun in generel but especially in the beginning. Nothing is going to happen from your car to the store,. I would personally wear clothes that covers my new tattoos until i can protect them with sunscreen after a couple of weeks! :)
If you want to play basketball after the fresh tatt should you wait a week or 2 after. Or can you play it like a couple days after but try not to sweat
Hey! i would wait a couple of weeks, so the tattoo is settled more in the skin. If you fall in this very crucial period, you risk permanent damaging the tattoo. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓
Helle, Yes you would be able to do legs if you got a hand tattoo, but we still advice you to wait between 2-4 weeks before starting on working out. The body is still using energy, especially if you do a hard leg workout, and that effects the healing period which we wanna avoid. Therefore we recommend that, if you are going to workout you start slow, light and listen to your body. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hi, i just got my spine tattooed on friday, when i can start working out again and lifting weights? Using barbell. or should i stick to dumbbell workouts ?
Hello Valerie, i would wait 2-3 weeks and see how the tattoo is feeling, then i would start slow and with low weights, listen to the body and work my way back from their. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hey just found this video, great help! I just got a maori tattoo on my right arm, it's a full sleeve tattoo from the shoulders to 3/4 my bicep(almost to the elbow but not too close). My tattoo was finished on the 11th of September. Should I still avoid training in the area my tattoo was made and if yes for how long?
First up, congratulations with the new tattoo ;) it has only been a few days and under a week, so I would recommend you to wait a few more days, then start light and listen to your body, dont go straight in to lifting heavy or do long workout sessions immediately. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello Luna, the body does not care about the size of the tattoo. You can often get away with more with a little tattoo because, they heal more often, but most of the fall groups does not revolve around size. You need to think about are you gonna create friction etc. i would pro wait a weeks time even 2 because if you damage your tattoo in this stage, it can be permenet. However you should be fine if you just listen to your body. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓
What about a wrist tattoo ? Can still hit the gym! + my tattoo is wrapped with a tape and my tattoo artist told me to skip the gym for a week 😫! Bcz heat and sweat can tear the tape. So what should I do😫
Hey! regardless where the tattoo is placed or the size of it, a tattoo is an open wound and that means that it can get infected. Thats why we recommend that you wait around a week (or longer), start slow, listen to your body and have extra focus on hygiene. // Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello Amani, the size and placement does not matter that much, when we are talking aftercare. Of cause there is more skin/surface to affected. Therefore we always recommend to wait 2-3 weeks. We are talking about a few weeks vs the rest of your life. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
I have tattoo on my right Elbow now its been more than 5 weeks (38 Days) So can i go to gym and Lift Heavy Weight is it effect my tattoo or it is Ok to continue it ?
Hey Martin! So i just got a chest tattoo last tuesday, pretty big piece, my artist said i can go to the gym 4 days after my tattoo, the question i have can i do a long cardio session? Im just nervous about all the sweat but he did mention if i do go to wash it right after the gym ? Ur opinion? Thank you!
ive had my chest tattoo for 5 days i was doing bench press an didnt know but is it okay if workout the other parts of my body as long as i dont do chest
Hey, my large bicep tattoo is in the silver skin stage, I’ve had it for 4 weeks now. There’s a little bit of the sunburn/peeling/dryness at the edge of one part of it. Am I ok to start lifting weights, do intense cardio or wear fitted clothing in the gym?
i got a tattoo 8 days ago, got it in my left arm, is playing soccerr allowed on the 8 days afterwards since my tattoo is on my arm and playing soccer with my foot?
Okay,so I got a forearm tattoo on my outer forearm and my artist told my it's ok to train upper body after 5 day.(I have weights at home)I am on day 6 and I'm dying to train upper body. What to do?
Hello Chrysa, we here at sorry mom, always advice that you wait 2-3 weeks, especially the bodypart where you got the tattoo. As we see it, its a lifetime of your tattoo vs working out a couple of weeks, so therefore we want the tattoo to heal as best as possible. so wait 2-3 weeks then start slow and listen to your body. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
I'm planning on getting a four arm tattoo and I can wear short sleeve but is it bad to sweat where the tattoo is or any advice you can give me I work at a recycling center so I don't work to hard but sometimes there is busy days
Hello Lorenzo, Getting a forearm tattoo should be fine. Everybody sweats and what Martin is saying, is that you should avoid sweating/working out the first couple of weeks, if you can avoid it. However if you can´t avoid i sweating just pay attention to the tattoo, keep it clean and you should be fine. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello! Regardless what you do, it is the same. We recommend that you wait atleast a week, if you got your legs tattooed, we recommend even longer, after the first week start light, listen to your body and then go from there. If its possible wait even longer. // Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hi there! i'm thinking to get a tattoo on my forearm. Do i need to stop working out even though i rest for 48 hours after getting the tattoo? I've been at the gym for 2 months. and is it also okay to workout at home for abs and cardio after getting a tattoo on my forearm? can you please answer for me? it would help me in great deals. Thank you in advanced
Thanks for the informative video. I got a tattoo on my wrist area, a minimal one. Its been 2 weeks ans the scabbing is going on. Can i di, core, ab and cardio exercises in full swing? I can skip the weights a little longer.
Hello Vinita, your tattoo should be almost healed by now and not scabbing any longer. If your tattoo is still scabbing we would recommend you to wait a week or 2 longer, since the body need rest to heal the tattoo as fast as possible. if i misunderstood and its done scabbing you should be fine. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
I got my tattoo on 3/11. I haven't done any upper body workout because I got tatted on my chest shoulders and upper arms. My tattoo is in the peeling stage. Can I get back to it now?
Just go a tattoo on the right side of my belly, not that big. After 7 days i tried to warm up and immediately after swating a little it started to hurt a bit but mainly itching. So as it is now i really have to wait those 2 weeks :/
Hello Rangandi, It seems so, but at least you listened to your body which always is a good idea! So just try to relax as much as possible and go back when you feel you are ready. // Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Thanks for the video just got my first tattoo 3 days ago on my forearm is it ok to do cardio? I sweat alot when I exercise so I’m worried that is bad for my new tat.
Hello Ryan, i would recommend you to wait at least 10 days, especially if you sweat a lot. As we always say, i know it sucks, but it sucks even more if your tattoo does not heal right, you can always workout but it would suck to have a bad healed tattoo for the rest of your life. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello Jay, the answer is unfortunately no. If you damage the tattoo by falling, getting tackled, it gets to much friction between your skin and cloths or dirt gets into it, you risk the tattoo being damaged for the rest of your life. You can run the risk, however i think you will be so sad, if something happens to a brand new tattoo that you spend money on and now its kinda ruined. Im not gonna tell you know im just asking you to think about the pros vs cons. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓
Wait till off season, I assume you play american football? but either way, you risk your tattoo getting permanent damage, such as blowout or tearing the pigments. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓
Hello! it would be best to wait 1-2 weeks because if you fall and tear your tattoo it can effect the healing process and the tattoo will be damaged forever. Also it´s best for the tattoo with some rest. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Thanks for the Video. I am planing to get a Maori tattoo on my chest/shoulder/arm. Since it will be quite large, i have 6 appointments all 1 week apart from each Other. How am i supposed to train my chest and shoulders? I cant stop 6 weeks that will feel live i have to start all over again :/ Pls help
Hello! first of, if you are getting tattooed for 6 weeks you also need to take some time after to recover, so it might be more like 8 - 10 weeks before working out. You can do some different things like working out "VERY LIGHT" before each tattoo session to maintain your strength, so you wont progress but then you at least not loose any strength. You can focus on going for long walks/leg workouts (Still light). But in the end you need to thing about your tattoo and it is going to be on your body forever. So it might be a though one to swollow but I think you should wait the 8-10 weeks. Jacob - Sorry Mom
Hello Justine, Your body does not care about the size of the tattoo :) that means that a small tattoo has the same risks as a large tattoo, therefore we always recommend to wait around 2 weeks, listen to your body and start slow. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
I am Sorry My friend, but the jersey were made as a sample, and there is no plans to release at this point :( But we are happy you think they are cool! Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Im getting a tattoo tomorrow and it's clashing with my workout routine. NOw, mind you, I've been trying to get serious about lifting for decades and I'm finally getting there so as you can inderstand, I'm really dreading the idea of having to stop working out for weeks just because of the tattoo which I'm getting regardless. Are the 48 hours really enough?
Hello Neven, the longer you wait regardless the size, the better. However if you listen to your body, wrap it and dont get into any messy situations where you potentially can hurt/scrape the tattoo you might be fine. But if the tattoo gets scraped, it can might effect the way it looks, the rest of you life, so be careful. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello! Most times you will be fine, however this video is about the chance that you get an infection, scratch the tattoo or something else happens. So you need to ask yourself, will you be okay and able to live with yourself if you permanently damage your new tattoo? Jacob - Team Sorry Mom ⚓
So lifting weights after 9 days isn't the problem right? It's basically working out too hard where it causes too much stress to the tattoo and too much sweat correct? Also what if you got a neck tattoo. Does that mean you shouldn't workout at all with weights?
Hello Wolf, There is multiple reasons why, working out just after getting tattooed is a bad idea. Regardless where your tattoo is placed, the same "Rules" apply. Most of the time you will be fine to workout on day 9, we recommend 2 weeks to be safe, but as long as you listen to your body and clean your tattoo properly you are goin to be okay. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hello Colin. Getting a tattoo while active in sports is never ideal. However you just have to, pay attention to the area, rest as much as possible and try to get it in continuation of some days of. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hey buddy I have a fresh tattoo in my arm, the size is from hand to shoulder (front part) and normally I practice running in the morning and calisthenic in the evening, so more or less how many weeks I need rest for a good healing?? Salutee bro
Hello Jahibson, Atleast a full week and then i would start slow, listen to the body and take it from there. It is always best to wait as long as possible up to 28 days, but if you follow Martins advice, you will be just fine :) // Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hey Rico, we always recommend that you do as little cardio/workout as possible for the first week because you can risk getting an infection in your new tattoo.
Hi there! We would recommend you wait a copule of weeks. However, if you can find alternate workouts where you don't need to grab anything, you could resume your exercises earlier -avoiding extreme sweating though-. We hope it helped!
I have just gotten more work done on my arm and it almost a full sleeve. I plan on taking 6-7 days off from the gym but I do work a physical job outside (I wear long sleeves) but after the week could I go back to squats and other lifts like bench and deadlift as long as I'm not rubbing the area?
Hello Marcus, I would wait an extra week, if possible. The longer you wait, the better result you will get. The most important thing is that you listen to your body. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
@@SorryMomTattoo 2 weeks until i can spar? or any training at all? because it is a lot of cardio and youd be sweating a lot if its a workout or sparring.
Today is Sunday, I got a side calf tattoo Friday(48hrs)- it has saniderm over it... how safe for the tattoo is it to walk on the treadmill for a couple hours
Hello Justin, We here at sorry mom are not product experts on other brands tattoo products. However I assume saniderm helps protect the tattoo from dirt etc. But your tattoo and body needs rest to heal faster, the more activities you do, the longer healing process you are going to have, which we do not want. therefore we here at sorry mom recommend that you relax the first two weeks at least and after that start slow, listen to your body and take it from there. If you work out you slow down the proces and the healing period becomes longer. You also risk damaging the tattoo which could be a permanent. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hi im a dancer. Got my tattoo at Sunday, thigh area and im planning to dance again at Thursday. Is it ok?
Hello Michael! I do not know that much about dancing, other than im pretty bad! However as i understand it, dancers go pretty hard and sweat a lot. We recommend you to wait 2-3 weeks before going back, if you decide to go on thursday, i would recommend you to think about this: If you fall, scratch or the tattoo rubs against your close, you risk it being damaged for the rest of your life. If you are not concerned about these things, you are not gonna fall or create friction between the tattoo and your clothes go for it. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓

No problemo Michael!

I got a tat on my abs , can i do bicep curls and pushups/dips ?
My tatoo artist said not to workout for a week and in currently on day 3 iching to go to the gym 😢😢
It's not easy! We hope you're back in the gym now with a nicely healed tattoo!

I was just wanting to shoot a little basketball. Just an hour per day. You think that's ok?
Btw i got my tattoo on Thursday. It's Tuesday now.
my tattoo is exactly 1week now, can i go to gym ??
I still have a question what happens when you get a small tattoo on the neck how long can i wait
Hello sir. the size and placement does not matter. You still risk damaging the skin, if you work out. However small tattoos often heal a lot faster then large tattoos, but to be safe i would take 1-2 weeks off. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom ⚓
@@SorryMomTattoo ohh okey thanks i will wait for now😂
Man, waiting so many days to workout is hard, but the tattoo is definitively worth it.

Hi, i had a new tattoo on my calf.
Can i go play soccer after like a week or so.
If yes, what precautions should i take..?
It depends on how the tattoo heals up during that first week.. I have done it with great results myself, but I have also messed up my new tattoo by playing soccer with a fresh tattoo. Just make sure to take good care of it
Would you say its OK to weight train on day 5 as iv just had a head tattoo done last Thursday. I'd put a aftercare cream on for extra protection .but I'd bath at home not at that the gym. When is it safe to not have to wrap my head tattoo for bed please . Thank u

I got my kneecap done, can I train arms the day after?
Hey, I just got my Bicep tattooed 4 days ago and have a basketball game tomorrow, do you suggest I wear a full sleeve shirt to cover it perhaps? Or maybe just skip the game?
I have done two new tattoos on my fist about 5 days ago.Do you recommend doing some push ups?
I've just had one on my back. How long it take to come back to exercises with barbel, squads or when I lay on my back while hip trust?
Hi there! It will highly depend on the exact placement. However, we wouldn't recommend laying on your new tattoo for the first 2 weeks. Our recommendation would be to find alternative exercises to your routine until the tattoo is healed and ready to roll again :)
With a freash big tattoo on the center bag, is it fine for me to do some light grabling 5 days after?
Hello William, i would wait a week or two, the tattoo is going to be on your body for the rest of your life. By grabling you risk scraping your back/tattoo on the floor and mess it up for good. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
Hey, I’m about to get my entire dominate forearm done. How long would I have to wait before I can start playing badminton again? Thx
Hello we recommend 2-3 weeks :) Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
I’ve just got a tattoo on my ribs and want to wear a sports bra to go running. How long shall I wait to do this? Or can I wrap it and run?
Give it some days until you feel the tattoo not being so sensitive that it hurts when you touch it with your bra. I'd probably skip running for a week or so!
I just got a elbow tattoo and a forearm tattoo(both line work style) about 9 days ago, am I okay to bench press again?
3/4 sleeve right arm tattoo how long should I wait to go back to the gym 😅
Hello Derv, We recommend that you wait around 2 weeks before working out your arms and maybe 5-7 days before you can train your lower body. Then start slow and listen to your body, but 2 weeks is recommended. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom

Hello Sean, im going to respond to both your questions in this thread. Question Nr. 1 there will not necessarily be any permanent damage from one run. Question Nr. 2 Yes, its a mixture of sweat , excess, body fluid and blood.

hey there, great video!
@@SorryMomTattoo Thanks again!
So can I go do legs if the tattoo is on my hands
Is sweating okay after 1 week
Hi! I have a 1.5 inch tattoo on my ribcage. Can i workout my lower body- squats, deadlifts, hamstring streteches etc?
Getting my outer forearms done and my right wrist done in a couple days nothing huge but decently sized would three days off be good?
Hello Amani, the size and placement does not matter that much, when we are talking aftercare. Of cause there is more skin/surface to affected. Therefore we always recommend to wait 2-3 weeks. We are talking about a few weeks vs the rest of your life. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom

Hello Chrysa, we here at sorry mom, always advice that you wait 2-3 weeks, especially the bodypart where you got the tattoo. Thanks for the informative video. I got a tattoo on my wrist area, a minimal one. Its been 2 weeks ans the scabbing is going on. Can i di, core, ab and cardio exercises in full swing? I can skip the weights a little longer.

do you think getting a tattoo during the fball season is a good idea?
Hello Jay, the answer is unfortunately no. If you damage the tattoo by falling, getting tackled, it gets to much friction between your skin and cloths or dirt gets into it, you risk the tattoo being damaged for the rest of your life. You can run the risk, however i think you will be so sad, if something happens to a brand new tattoo that you spend money on and now its kinda ruined. Im not gonna tell you know im just asking you to think about the pros vs cons. Jacob - Team Sorry Mom⚓

Are the 48 hours really enough?
Great video! I just got a relatively small tattoo just above my ankle two days ago. Do you think I’d be good to go play basketball tomorrow?
Hello Neven, the longer you wait regardless the size, the better.
Jacob - Team Sorry Mom
