The brilliance of Justin Hayward expressed once again...sadly the last album by this great band to feature Mike Pinder. Working in a Hollywood Record store in Scottsdale, Arizona when Octave hit the racks. Still a favorite.
Such a great song from a timeless band. They were suppose to be “Out of Vogue” and “over the hill” when this album and song came out. So much for that. Love this song. Driftwood is also an excellent song from this album as well.

This will always THE song for me and my partner, although we just decided to breakup a few days ago. I listened to it for the first time in a while, whilst riding in the train to some friends to comfort me (now in my dark days) and I bursted into tears. The chords and melody (esp. harmonica) are so beautiful, it touches my (broken) heart everytime I hear it. 💔
