Elizabeth Stewart 2014 Honoree Richmond Delta Investors Group Walk for Memories [Final]

Elizabeth Stewart was the 2014 Honoree of the Richmond Delta Investors Group Walk for Memories.
Born on Dec. 25, 1947 in Scotland, Elizabeth's family moved to Canada in 1971. Elizabeth and her husband John have three children together - Richard, Matthew and Katherine. Elizabeth is the proud grandma to five granddaughters.
Elizabeth started her journey with Alzheimer's disease as a caregiver for both of her parents. At the age of 60 Elizabeth herself started to show signs of Alzheimer's disease. She was diagnosed with it at the age of 63 and has bravely faced this disease with a fighting attitude.
Elizabeth and her family say the Alzheimer Society of B.C. was immensely helpful when they were taking care of Elizabeth's parents and now with Elizabeth. Elizabeth's daughter Katherine says the family has learned a tremendous amount about shaping the journey from attending Support Groups.
Thanks for walking Richmond for Elizabeth Stewart and the more than 70,000 individuals and families in B.C. who are living with dementia.
