The first song was supposed to be Aces High. Don't know how the title got messed up.
Become The Knight I was confused by that. I thought it was just a joke like you usually do, that I just didn't get.
Rip that
Do you like death and slayer if so do a song suggestion Friday on them
Can you do a video on dream theaters recently released song?
"Ruining it for me": only uses early Maiden(mostly). I think that around Brave New World Maiden stepped up their song writing and originality a bit, but who knows, I was terrible at recognizing chords in Music Theory. Also, the Trooper was the first song I learned all the way through on guitar, so it hold a lot of nostalgia for me.
Using the same chord progression without it becoming stale and to create many different moods is one of Maidens great skills.
I love Iron Maiden.
Guess the song:
E...C....D.....
Death - Flesh and the Power It Holds
:::)))))
Egor986 I thought he did that one
Egor986 infernal death by death is good too
That counter noise is just *delightful*
Reminds me of CinemaSins.
Aw, I'm sad that Caught Somewhere in Time didn't make the cut! It's another one of those i - VI - VII songs, I believe. Also, isn't that first riff you play Aces High? The graphic says Paschendale!
Sorry, yes that should be Aces High......
@@BecomeTheKnight btw description doesn't have Paschendale
I assumed I just didn't remember Paschendale well enough to remember the riff, and that they'd just reused it. Imo Somewhere in Time and Seventh Son are their best albums by far so yeah, that'd've been a good choice.
Unthethered Angel - Dream Theater
Gyup
Ramiro Nino ITS AWESOME!!
It's a pretty dope track if you ask me
Boring song but the solo sections were very good
I wish he makes a whole video for it considering it's his favourite band as is mine.
Pigs (Three Different Ones) - Pink Floyd
That solo in the end is out of this planet😍😍😍
Shina Lagoh dogs
10 years gone- Led Zeppelin
Max Jacobs fucking love that song
This is epic
One of my all time favorite songs
Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators - World on Fire
Still love Iron Maiden ❤️
So do i
The rime of the ancient mariner - for me - is the greatest heavy metal song of all time!
That shirt is absolutely amazing.
Doesn't really make sense though, in what way did any of Orwell's books became reality?
@1997lordofdoom Look up the Patriot Act. The most ironic part is you'll be looking it up through Google...
Become The Knight lmao yes this! The correlations are hilarious, and unsettling.
Kansas - Carry on wayward son
Best critical musical review of Maiden EVER! \m/
It’s a shame you didn’t like phantom or remember tomorrow cause there one of my favorite maiden songs. I respect your honesty though, the lyrics in both of these songs are amazing imo
Thanks for doing this, Mike! Iron Maiden is one of my favorite bands, and they have been since I was 10 or so. It's nice to hear your opinions on them and their music! Rock on, dude! 🤘
I always called I VI VII the Iron Maiden progression! Won't lie, its my favourite progression in all of music haha
Megadeth - Conquer or Die
Gyup
Such an amazing song
Holly fucking shit... Yes, the simple reading of the title makes me tremble
I like it when you play your guitar. That helps me want to check out these songs more when you do that.
Yo the pink guy finally got paschendale
I love Iron Maiden and this video :)
ENTOMBED - Left Hand Path
Oh boi that outro
Anesthetize by Porcupine tree
Thorns of Crimson Death - Dissection
If only :'(
Up the irons! My personal favorite is Brave New World. Partially because I absolutely love the book by Huxley, but I also generally just love songs that build as they go. :)
Huxley's vision of a dystopian future somehow feels even more likely than Orwell's at this point. Or maybe it's a mix of both, really.
Fucking great song
Always enjoying those little accoustic riffs you do. The trooper is definitely my favourite, every riff in that is amazing, cool solo aswell and it doesn't drag out as long as some of their other songs.
Ahhh mann!! I'm so exited! Next year I'm going to see them live for the first time!
Exit Music (From A Film)- Radiohead
חשבתי שאני הישראלי היחיד שרואה אותו
וואט דה פאק
Gyup
Oh my god, that song...
The rain song - Led zeppelin
Benjamin Godoy that’s a great song man
@@dbrandmill beautiful
best video about iron maiden i have ever seen haha
And as you end the video, hundreds of Maiden fans sigh in contentment, lay back and light a cigarette...
Thick as a Brick (Part 1) - Jethro Tull
Both parts! Thick as a Brick is a masterpiece of progressive rock, when so much was still unexplored, and Ian, his flute, and the rest of Tull went into a dirty basement, with the inspiration of Monty Python and made this epic song! HELL YES! Mike should definitely ad this to his list!
Agree, but asking him to do a whole album is a bit much, and he has reviewed 20 minute songs in the past so this has a chance of making it
@@SnowTheJamMan man, you do have a point there! Ok, I vote TAAB part 1 too... after all, part 2 consist mostly of repetitions of part 1, but in a different order... lyrical it fulfills the whole outcome of the product more by adding the second part, but musically part 1 is sufficient!
I was debating weather to request this or Supper's Ready, but in the end i'm more interested to heard Mike's take on TAAB, i do hope he gets around to Supper's Ready too cause it's my favorite song of all time
Yeah I think part 1 is better than part 2 because of the drum solo and the speaking voices part after it. Apart from that they are on par.
Btw I don’t know how TAAB or Supper’s Ready didn’t show up on the long songs episode, but he did CttE so fair enough.
Shine on you crzay diamond parts 6-9 - Pink Floyd
He already said in the Pink Floyd reaction video that he never liked it.
@@Tomviel fuck him his just a prog head... oof doesnt wanna experience other types of music just sits and bitches over everything
@@Tomviel Wasn't he talking about parts 1-5? 6-9 is better in my opinion.
Best song on Wish You Were Here
@@cheguevara1289 Ha! Good one
Los Jaivas - Sube a nacer conmigo hermano
Si!!!!!! Yes yes yes yes
Ruin it for me? Ya cant do it its iron maiden
Station To Station - David Bowie
Mountain Song- Jane's Addiction
Yeah, but I mean, it is the best progression. Sort of heavy, sort of melodic, ballsy; what more could you want?!? #triggered
Don't get me wrong, I also love it, and I use it a lot. But it's a little obnoxious how much they use it lol!
@@BecomeTheKnight Oh yeah, for sure they use it far too much, I totally agree, just gotta stick up for my favorite little progression! Which, admittedly, also I overuse
You're a Mean One , Mr. Grinch - Small Town Titans
Holy shit... I NEED that shirt!... Ok, now I'll watch the video.
Paul had more of a punk feel in his vocals. Bruce is just a flat out epic frontman.
Breaking Benjamin- Unknown Soldier
Ian Ouellette Great song.
wearing an iron maiden shirt as you speak😩😩
Beyond the Wheel - Soundgarden
Yesss make that happen
@@iamadonut977 Yeah. I'm curious because other times he's done Soundgarden songs he said Chris Cornell's vocals are better in other songs. Beyond the Wheel is one of his best songs vocally I'd say.
@@elliotcasson3027 Really? I haven't seen his other chris cornell reactions but I fully agree with you...especially the demo version his vocal abilities and emotions give goosebumps
Avatar - When The Snow Lies Red
Omg! I was 1 of the God knows how many said Children of the Damned. And it was picked.
Accept- Fast as a shark
Dig-mudvayne
My favourite song by them is phantom of the opera. Lol the complete opposite opinion you had really made me laugh because I get shit all the time for liking it.
You're definitely not the only one who likes it lol. I don't understand why people like it, but I just accept it as a thing. Thanks for watching dude 🤘
@@BecomeTheKnight Yeah I love your videos because you're one of the only snobs on youtube who really know their theory and break the music down. Keep it up man.
A nice idea for the next themed ssf: queen
When you said something about planes i knew it was Aces High
where did you get that 'Make Orwell Fiction Again'-i want one
Just found this video, but maidens rock stuff is pretty good, I love can I play with madness and two minutes to midnight
Buried Alive - Avenged Sevenfold
Yes, he reviewed my 3 favorite iron maiden songs
Ghost love score - Nightwish (live at wacken 2013)
Neutral Milk Hotel - Oh Comely
Mike: The intro to hallowed be thy name is haunting as fuck
Me: LISTEN 2 THE INTRO OF SIGN OF THE CROSS
Can someone explain to me what is so bad about the production on phantom of the opera? Every instrument sounds perfectly clear to me.
Stanley Clarke - Vulcan Princess
Jeff Tuohy - Bourbon Street. It's just a fun song, and different than what is usually requested of you.
*Also best enjoyed after a couple drinks ;)*
Dang it! My Infinite Dreams suggestion didn't make it..
Dream Theater - Untethered Angel
Gyup
Wait, do you hold your pick with 3 fingers like James Hetfield?
Tommy's party peach pit I know your usually not open to their type of music style but but I would just like to hear your input on the song and maybe the band if you want.
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Wanting Not so Much to as To
Alestorm - The curse of Captain Morgan
Volbeat - Evelyn Very catchy chorus
they're a small soundcloud band from my school btw
The Wind that Shakes the Heart - Andy James
I usually agree with you despite my bias (and I am heavily biased in this episode in particular) so I was extremely confused about the first song. Like, I didn't agree on anything you said. And then I found out it was the wrong song. Went back and watched again and everything returned to normal. Also, I fucking love Phantom of the Opera and Paul's vocals in it. But then again, biased. I love Steve Harris what can I say!
Wow has he seen Nothing More !?!? They are killing it. So original. And they speak some true messages about social media corprate bullshit it's dope
Criminal Mambo - Patricio Rey y Sus Redonditos de Ricota
Megadeth - good mourning/black friday
Hallowed be thy name is My favourite song ever. From Any artist. I am pretty sure of that at least
Chris stapleton - Tennessee whiskey
You're gonna miss me 13th floor elevators
Weird Al Yankovic - The Night Santa Went Crazy
I was really happy paschendale got two plus signs. While i prefer iron maiden's earlier stuff, paschendale is probably my favorite song.
Hoped "Afraid to Shoot Strangers" would have made it.. Would love to hear your opinion on the guitar solo after the chorus.. Love the videos btw.. 😋
Kaleo - Way down we go
The Beatles - Real Love
Bruh Phantom of the Opera and Remember Tomorrow are probably my favorite Maiden songs lol
Holy shit my suggestion actually made it!
Pigs three different ones-Pink Floyd
You’re right
You’re right
You’re right
I don’t know what else to say…
Scars on Broadway - Lives
Your opinion on Grammy's this year?
Coroner - Metamorphosis
Bad Asteroid - The Aristocrats
Gyup
So what are you drinking this morning? It looks delicious.
Anyway, I can't think of any killer tunes right now.....Maybe it will come to me later......
I love your shirt man
Vulfpeck - "Christmas in L.A."
This background music needs to return!
Great shirt bro.
Happiness is a Warm Gun - The Beatles
Dark Tranquillity - Punish My Heaven
Hymn for the greatest generation-caspian
Dead and bloated - stone temple pilots
