SNOW OWL: MOST USEFUL TAME IN THE GAME

If you are like me... you are trying to find the tames in the game that are the best at the most things possible. Because you want to use as few tames as possible and be really good with those set number of things. These things..... the snow owl.... are amazing at almost everything that they do.
This tutorial is part of my channel for Ark, to help give you locations, hints, helps, guides,tips, cheats, glitches, cheese, the easy way, and whatever you might want to call these sorts of videos! :)

Love my snow owls pretty much all I use
Actually that thermal vision doesn't give you vision through bushes.. thought, thin bushes might have holes of which you can see through dots of bright light. Water on the other hand basically disappears, so it's extremely good tool to find otters.
Another use for thermal vision is that it makes godrays go away, so if you're flying towards sunrise and can't see nothing but white, well there's your solution.
yo, one thing you missed is that you can get extra points in movement speed by imprinting an owl. so a 100% imprinted owl will have 125 movement speed instead of 100.
Every tame get 20% more Movement speed after Imprinting...
@@finngutendorf4828 No other flyers get a movement speed bonus with imprinting. The owl is the only one. yea all non-flyers get the bonus, but you can level movement speed in them anyway, where you cant for flyers.
Oh that little warbly noise they make takes me right back to that first go through of Extinction.
Also great for making blood packs to tame Bloodstalkers. Make a few packs, regen your health, repeat. Used this method on a private Genesis server.
Once you are done with the base game creatures, maybe you could go through the Additional Ark creatures? ;w;
As soon as I finish this series. I will be going on to mods and some other neat things as well!
I just play PVE servers with friends; and only purely for fun, so this is by far my 2nd favorite dino.
Nr 1 is rockdrake because it's even more fun

One down side (unless its changed): they can't pick anything up.
I never tried myself but when you trap a dino and want to tame. Does his healing ability also drop the wild dinos food stat?
I do not think so. It used to be that way, but I think they changed it
It used to be like that but not anymore. However it will still heal unconscious dino which sometimes can be useful
I have a level 356 with very high Melee, 650+. I use them to kill Rhinos to get the horns. I can kill most land Dino’s quickly, then heal myself. My weight is high also, 1600, so I can carry alot.
The Argentavis; it's not even a competition. The argentavis may not be as fast or heal, but it's a battle mount, transporter, packmule, and a mobile smithy. I cringe when I see people mentioning the Owl as a battle mount. Sure you can do combat with it, but the its low attack speed and erratic animations make them deliver about half of the damage Argentavis do.
Once you freeze an ally.. In turret range, the turrets stop shooting untill unfrozen
Love the owl though ! Definitely battles for top ! But once im on another favorite, stalker, tapja, griff, i say its number one too lmfao !

I just got one then died to a wyvern straight away...
I dont think you freeze them unless you right click
You apply a slow by hitting the ground without right click

the only negative thing about the snow owl is he can not
pick up dino's
Its good for the desert as you will never need to worry about overheating
Got me a 1184 snow owl as my daily driver.
Lvl 1184 isnt possible

I can survive without one, but anki, thats the most usefull, to get metal, crystal, obsidian, flint, stone and even wood, cactus sap and tatch in SE, also to gather berries... next is argi to carry my anki... when ever I jump to new server I bring argui, anki, wyvern(transport), Giga, thila(cave and ground), phoenix(stove), trope(grinder), owl(healer), so is in my top 10 but definitely not my top 1.
It is all about how you play. I do not disagree that the anky is necessary, I just think that the Snow Owl allows for PVP PVE healing and other small uses. Where the anky is just a pure one trick pony
My favorite thing about snow owls is that their thermal vision can be used as night vision, if you need to get somewhere quickly but it's night time and you can't see your hand in front of your face, you can just hop on a snow owl and activate your thermal vision and everything will be highlighted
Or you can just up your gamma 😀
@@SiNisterFPS the private server I play on with frieneds, has "changing gamma" disabled, so yeah that won't work xD

I apply points to Melee, Weight and Stamina. Maybe a little in Health
