    Pro tip for the upcoming winter wonderland! Gacha Claus needs to be around berry bushes in order to trade you its items and continue eating coal and mistletoe. Also it does need 1 of each and not 10 or more so don't waste them!

    Even thought Gachas were nerfed, I have found that if my gacha gets to over 200% on crafting skill I get quite a bit of decent Mastercraft items and I still do get an occasional ascendant item. On default settings in SP.

  • @razvancraciunescu1936
    @razvancraciunescu1936 2 ปีที่แล้ว +200

    Things you forgot or did not know (they are not mentioned in the video):
    1. you can also use owl pellets to tame gachas (it's my favorite method, i don't want to waste tek foundations or take an eternity using stone or other resources)
    2. low lvl gachas are preferred by most people because they are easier to clone. Then you just pump the crafting skill to 160% (most people that use gachas have lvl 1 or lvl 5 originals that they clone afterwards)
    3. you said that for tamed gachas, you need to feed them Snow owl Pellets + some other garbage in order to start their production. This garbage can be war maps, or stone...
    But some of the better "garbage" items that you did not mention are: Fiber (because it stacks to 300 and it's much lighter) or hide/thatch (because you end up having too much anyway while you farm, and they are light)
    My favorite food for tamed gachas is ----> use a bronto to get thousands of berries at once. Move the berries to an iguanodon inventory. Interact with the iguanodon and tell it to seed the berries. Then use these seeds as gacha food (same as Fiber, they are light, easy to get and can stack a lot)
    PS:
    Another important note: you said gachas wander and gather resources. Same goes for using a saddle and mounting it. Gachas were the first dino to be able to harvest anything as a herbivore (followed later by magmasaurs and tek stryders): stone, flint, thatch, wood, etc.
    Another important note: you said that 2 gachas of the same gender next to each other are sad. You forgot to mention that a couple of the 2 different genders next to each other increase happiness.
    Another important note: Gachas stats are pretty weak, keep them protected. Most lvl 150 gachas in the wild can't even defend themselves from a couple of mediocre raptors.
    Another important note: X-mas gachas cannot be tamed.
    MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: Gachas are the only way you can PICK UP a Tusoteuthis Egg! Just use a tamed gacha, put a saddle on it, go in the water next to the tuso egg and press C (on PC) to pick up items from its front. (WARNING: make sure the gacha has other stuff in its inventory before picking up the egg, or it WILL eat it)

    Another thing to feed gachas are berry seeds. Simply gather a load of Berry’s either through farm or berry gatherer, convert them with the iguanodon into seeds, and item cap the Gacha.
    They will need to eat a little bit more than they would for stone however, I find berry seeds much easier to get in vast abundance than stone. Hope this helps anyone

    Another tip about the Gacha is to use it as a achatina paste farm. Just place them over some tamed achatinas, and it will gather the paste. If you have enough achatinas, the gacha wont have time to make crystals because its picking up paste. One of my primary uses for the gacha

    An important note, if you have a tamed male and tamed female that do not produce the resources you want them to, you can simply breed them together. Each new baby gotcha will have completely randomized resource production, allowing you to have easy access to their rare resources.

    Second- what I do is put a doed on wander around my gated base as long as I'll be physically there, and allow for him to gather stone while I'm building or breeding or whatever. They'll gather enough stone for you to keep your gachas going.

    One more tip (for officials) when taming use stone because you want as low lvl as possible if you get elemntal dust for the lower cost of cloning :)

  • @graphite7473
    @graphite7473 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you're playing with S+, you can easily set up an automated gacha facility using plant z fruit and plant y traps as food. I set mine up so stepping on a pressure plate transfers everything around, and the only other interaction I have to do is occasionally hit 'grind all' in the industrial grinder. All the mats end up in dedicated storage, and I do a quick check of the grinder for any items I want to keep. I get all my behemoth gates from gachas. The other incredibly important trick is to look for the absolute lowest level mating pair you can find. When breeding, the babies will get random materials, but once you get one with element dust, or black pearls, or all three gem colors etc, you can clone them as many times as you want to ramp up production. The lower the level at the time of cloning, the cheaper the cost in element shards. Of course once you have element dust gachas, you are producing the fuel to keep cloning things. The reason I use plant z and y as the food is that with owl pellets they produce exactly the same rate of crystals and especially quality ones as with tek structures, but it only costs me poop, and it can be automated with dung beatles and S+ things.

    • @graphite7473
      @graphite7473 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you add the mod called 'Dino Patrol' you can have the pressure plate set to activate when allied tames walk over it, and set a dino or two walking a looping path that regularly passes the pressure plate.

    One important thing you missed that matters greatly when making Gacha farms. They also do not like having more than one of the opposite gender nearby.

    Syntac, I fell asleep playing TH-cam through headphones last night. One of your videos began to play a older one.
    It was when you said you were from North Dublin. I had no idea you were Irish and ow I can't unhear the Irish haha

    One time, I accidentally gave one of my cryopods to one of my Gachas. (I was going through my inventory too quickly.) The cryopod had a Gacha in it... T_T Since then, I've made sure to never have cryopods in my inventory while interacting with my Gachas.

    the best item to tame a gatcha is not building items, but snow owl pellets. that 100 or so foundations you used, would of only taken like 10 pellets.

    Gacha are great for organic since the crystals can be stored until you need the poly along with items that can be ground down into poly
    You can do the same with black pearls when taming a squid to cut down on all that weight…stockpile unopened crystals and just pull them out as you need
    Another note is you never have to touch the ocean floor again with both pearls being covered
    Also Gacha auto harvest drops even when tamed so you can pull your stone gatherer right up to them and popcorn it slowly and they will pick it up without all that ‘take all’ nonsense
    Raising them is super easy and complicated at the same time. Babies require no food if they are near adult gacha as long as you stay in render.
    once you leave render they will wipe every trough you have in range in what feels like minutes killing themselves and any baby relying on those troughs
    Cryo when leaving base or logging off and they are free raise. Babies have random productions so with a bit of time you could have them all covered with one pair of parents.
    Lower the level the better to clone
    For owl pellets park a mating pair of gacha in front of 10-15 snow owls and they will auto harvest them whenever you are in render. I suggest stacking food on owls and gacha since they drop fast.

    Feeding a gache stone is actually pretty quick. I can tame a dozen in 15 minutes with just an axe.

    First of all, let me say thank you very much for this video. It was very helpful, ❤
    Otherwise, you can also tame the gotcha with snow, owl pellets 😊

    idk if this was part of the nerf, or if it's a server setting an admin can do, but gachas no longer eat owl pellets. I can't even force feed it if I wanted to. They just sit in its inventory
