Save 40 minutes of your life - THIS VIDEO IN few sentences:
    Daily Routine for Peak Productivity:
    Morning:
    1. Review your high-level goals
    2. Identify 1-3 critical tasks for the day (goal-directed actions)
    3. Break each task into extremely specific steps (clear goals)
    During Work Hours:
    4. Focus solely on completing the clear goals one-by-one without distractions
    Evening:
    5. Review what you accomplished
    6. Plan out tomorrow's 1-3 goal-directed actions and clear goals
    The key points:
    - Identify a few critical tasks linked to your larger goals
    - Break them into granular steps
    - Execute those steps in a focused flow state
    - Separate planning from execution each day
This straightforward routine ensures you spend your daily effort on what matters most, guided by clear objectives, while allowing immersive focus for optimal productivity.

Actually the video helped me way more than the above summary.
I won't blindly follow a summary of a concept without believing it and understanding how to implement it.
I need to understand the "why" and "how" it all works, otherwise it's easy to forget, reject or fail to implement ...
The internet is already full of "ChatGPT style summary" advice which few people understand, believe and implement.
So I appreciate this video and the story of the creator's brother as well as an explanation of how we limit ourselves with our possibility space.

@@opslts.6024 I studied complex systems for about 10 years now (which is something he mentioned in the video) and he's correct about it. It is advanced (the name Complex Systems should be a clue as to it's nature)
I would recommend watching the whole video, and i would also recommend you do research into complex systems, which is where some of this language (possibility space) come from. It's defined correctly in this video, and the possibility space is alot larger than what's even being said in this video. Leading theoretical models suggest that the universe is like a Turing machine, and that the universe is computing all computable functions, therefor the state of what is possible, is technically "everything, and anything."
Stephan Wolfram and his work is also a good place to learn more about the formal science that has been going on in the past twenty years. mainstream physics as cool as it is, is a bit behind, where fields like this have been leading the technological revolution. Neural Networks for instance, was not made by physics...that came from Complex Systems (which use networks as their formal tools).

You had me at head injury. I was also a high-performing athlete in my youth, completely focused on my goals, until I had a career-ending debilitating knee injury that not only ended my sporting activities, but ended all running, jumping and anything involving a squat. I tried desperately to come back, ignoring my doctors, and only injured my back and ankles, furthering my immobility. You describe EXACTLY what happened to me after I finally gave up my goal. I too had a recovery moment in college when I decided to become a doctor. With that goal in focus, I was firing on all cylinders. I was ultimately derailed and spiraled into a deep depression. I've been struggling to find purpose and a real goal ever since. While I've found a way to survive and create a decent life, I have never felt like I have realized my true purpose. Thank you for establishing this channel and sharing this information. This feels like it hits the mark for me, hitting a silent and invisible mark I have never talked about because of shame.

Maturing is realizing that life isn't about your accomplishments and goals.
If you're not having fun on the way to your journey, you'll never reach the top. If all what you seek is that goal, you'll eventually question yourself for its worth and value, and slowly that dream dies because it was never yours. Your dream is the one which you find fulfillment and joy in, no matter how shit your day is. So looks like to me, that your doctor ambition was just an attempt to fill that gap in your ruined athletic dream.
I'm not saying this to be a d-head, I'm hoping that I'll help you see things from a different perspective. I hope you can find something that you can seek joy and fulfilment in, because that's ultimately what matters in life.

Key points that i got from this video
    - Setting specific long-term goals aligns daily efforts with aspirations, combating aimless wandering.
    - Psychic entropy, a state of disorder in consciousness, can be countered by goal direction internally or externally.
    - Becoming goal-directed aligns actions with long-term goals, paving the way for harmony and access to flow state.
    - Expanding your "possibility space" broadens beliefs about what's achievable, driving extraordinary outcomes.
    - Self-efficacy grows with goal attainment, expanding the realm of possibilities for setting and achieving larger goals.
    - Purpose is more of a verb than a static entity, found by picking a problem to address rather than seeking a lofty purpose.
    - Clarity about your life direction is a choice, similar to ordering food off a menu; it's okay to pick even if you're unsure how it will turn out.
    - Reverse engineering breaks large goals into achievable steps, clarifying the tasks needed and setting a timeline for completion.
    - High hard goals, coined by sports psychologist Stanley Beum, are ambitious, long-term objectives that push individuals to grow and achieve optimal performance.
    - Goal-directed actions are tasks that directly progress you toward your goal, leading to increased productivity and creativity, especially when performed in a flow state.
    - The power-down ritual involves planning tomorrow's goal-directed actions, ensuring alignment with long-term goals, and clearing undone tasks to focus on priority actions the next day.
    - The goal-directed pyramid model integrates the goal stack, goal-directed action, and clear goals, providing a structured approach to achieving ambitious aspirations and living a fulfilling life.

the problem is the goals turn out to change: so you have to adjust your goals in time or in content. every entrepeneur will have to adjust to changing times. So then it is sailing at changing winds but still keep direction. To determin when you loose track and when you are rightfully adjusting your goal for the bigger goal. It is easy to get lost in that. But with intrinsic goals you can figure out what is worth taking detours for or when one yhing doesnt work still plough through via another way. or what is a sidetrack distraction. so we constantly level up to see the overview and say goodbye to goals that arent working.

TLDR: Hi Rían, I have a video topic to request from you: are you going to cover productivity for neurodivergent people?
Please respond regardless of the answer, I want to feel that I've been heard 🙏
    (2 min read)
I feel like this specific audience is seeking productivity guides more often than the average person because we are different to the core. Our brains work differently and the way we process things, which does have some cute benefits but those are few and far between, instead we are often misunderstood, inefficient and suboptimal in all areas of life, let it be work life, social life, or private life at home. Only saying this much probably brings up lots of detailed questions and related topics to unpack, some of which might go outside your scope, so I don't expect you to release an hour long video as a "life guide" for us people with mental illnesses, but I am hoping for something that utilises the research and knowledge you have from your field of study and find how it applies to us specifically.
Because we always feel left out or left behind among our peers, which is why we want to catch up and seek help. But most of these guides are tailored towards average people, and we can not find the targeted advice we need, often feeling misdirected. If the topic is too broad, maybe you could narrow it down to ADHD and Autism? (there's a big overlap between the two so ideally it's better to discuss in one video). Even if it takes more time to release the video, please keep working on it and don't feel pressured to rush it. We really value content that makes us feel heard and acknowledged. You are most likely working on a new video already, and probably brainstorming ideas for the other videos after that, so I'm not expecting this to be your next topic, but I would love to get some closure that it's going to be on your bucket list of videos (or not).
    Cheers! 🙌

Embracing this comprehensive approach guarantees that every aspect is fully grasped and nothing important is missed.

I have found that clarity is more powerful than goals and planing . We can start by realizing that their is much more that we do not know and can not know than we are aware of! We can always learn to ask more intelligent questions that include who are we and why do I need to Do anything other than seeking more self honesty and seek to be open to what is true beyond all short term fads.

We understand this process well but it took me years to figure this out on my own which crystalized after graduating from university. It almost seems this is a process of discovery and cannot be easily understood when you haven't put the pieces together in your own accord. This video is invaluable and try your best to internalize these words as it may save you years. To the author, you've put together a very important video that must be studied and embraced. Thank you!

I think this is well thought out and well structured. If someone were to do all of this, they would surely be successful in some capacity. The problem is, most people in the world are extremely lazy and all of the things outlined take significant work and brain power. Which brings me to the second problem, most people don't have the mental capacity to do what is outlined here and reverse engineering their goals in this way. If we are all being honest, it is the sad but true reality. This is unnecessarily granular and complicated for the average person to do, in my opinion. Someone watching this video already has no idea where to begin and probably little motivation.

I didn't actually have a goal until after I turned 30. Before that I had a wild bucket list of things I wanted to do, and as each of them popped up I seized the opportunities.
The life lessons I learned about myself and the world as a whole ended up becoming the frame that I used to construct a dream and goal for my future.

    Plan first, then start.
The hardest part is always to make a start.
    Build momentum.
As the speaker says, be flexible, but mk dful of the goal.
    Deviation from goals, course correction.
Anyone riding dirt bikes will soon learn that concept and readily understand the point. Which is why it "resonates". ☺️🙋

    Hi Rian,
I have not fully grasped the concept of goal-stacking. Here is where my understanding is thus far
Not having a meaningful aim leaves us in psychic entropy, where we are meandering and adrift, aimless and insipid.
Make measurable steps by way of discrete goals down to the minute (but you mentioned weekly, monthly, and quarterly (so tri-monthly) and annual goals), so not down to the minute? Was this hyperbole?
This keeps us accountable and creates a sense of urgency and pressure or coercive force that drives us to action.
To achieve an ambitious, lofty, and meaningful goal, we first must define the goal in precise terms - not leaving it ambiguous.
We must then select a problem to solve alongside that goal ... Here is where I have fallen short ... A problem and a goal or are they one and the same?
I have learnt that there are mechanisms to prevent goal drift, by implementing goal reviews ('Power down rituals') at the end of the day; delineating three subgoals - no more than three!
    My question:
So what exactly characterises a goal stack, and how does it differentiate from identifying precise goals?

    • @Icemario87
      @Icemario87 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

"Down to the minute" is likely hyperbole; it is a common idiom.
A problem is a obstacle. A goal is the result gained after implementing the solution to a problem.
      Best of luck.

Comparing yourself with others it’s not healthy. Systems are created in order to create a solid base: belief system, learning system, you develop a method for your personal learning, personal growth. You have to know and understand yourself in order to create a system, to create bases, create pillars, create strong roots. You can create an structure, an organize and solid structure of yourself, your life. You and your life is your Canvas.
