    1. Set a direction, where you want to go
    2. Ask good questions about how to get there
    3. Apply the answers you've got and readjust as needed.

Adjusting is very important. After you know more, your direction changes. This is similar to how a machine learns also.
In Machine Learning topic (an AI branch), to make the machine smarter, the machine makes a small move into the direction that it thinks is the fastest direction to get to the goal.
But because the machine has a very narrow field of view, the direction will usually be wrong. But it's not a problem. The machine makes the small move again into the adjusted direction. Repeat this often enough and it will eventually reach the goal.
This algorithm is called gradient descent. It's like when you are trying to go down hill, but you don't see the entire hill, just go down the steepest direction you see until you reach the bottom.

It's good to see that there are so many solution oriented people.
Don't you think it would also be good to be aware of the bigger picture?
Our current challenge leads toward a world government, a world order.
Our challenge is to prevent a world of total control that for the most part is already a reality.
      What are your suggestions?
How can we prevent a world of total control?

This is awesome! I would concentrate on systems as a child but once I joined medical school the final exam that was held once a year and the knowledge required to eventually become an efficient Doctor became my ultimate goal and I trailed of to a path of not being happy with what I was doing because I could never meet my own expectations and eventually developed anxiety for exams and thought of myself as a loser who could not gain enough knowledge to become an efficient Doctor and was diagnosed with Depression in my third year of medical school. When I was feeling better with medication and therapy and reflected upon what I was going wrong I realised that unlike childhood i did not have systems , I was fixating on the ultimate goal which was to be reached through systems the importance of which I had completely forgotten. Now I am slowly getting back on track and your channel helps me a lot with my journey back to normalcy. Thank you ❤️

These systems do help me to achieve things. So, they can't be all that bad. 🙂

  • @DevScript01

I really hate goals, because they are outcome focused, and you can't get any fulfillment from that mindset, they could be good for being focus only and don't lose your sight, but the process should be your main priority.

    • @demonheart13
      @demonheart13 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Yes goals are outcome focused, but sometimes you need to focus on the outcome to get you through the process. Easy example, i love french onion soup, i hate cutting the onions to make.
On a more important note. Art degrees, my school had life studies(drawing from real life naked models) as a requirment for all the art majors. I, the asexual virgin that i was, put it off lile the plague until i seriously had to in order to graduate. And it was the exact hell i thought it would be. My friend who was only embarrased got over it after a month or so. But i suffered the entire time, doing everything in my power to stay behind the models or focusing on their upper body. It was gross and disgusting and i hope to never again be alone in a room with a naked stranger for several hours. It was a hell i dont wish upon most of my enemies, but i had to focus on passing and graduating or else i would start remembering what i was doing. I passed but safe to say it was my second to worst grade besides advertising design which was a creative conflict i had with the teacher, not lack of skill or desire to grow. But i digress

    Thanks for this.
The $100,000 example hit home for me. I earned my Master's Degree in February. The achievement of a 30 year-old-goal!! But a few weeks after I got the diploma I felt lost because I didn't know what to do with myself. I didn't have a system.
I have pickup back up a book project I stopped on to work on the degree. I learned a system of studying and writing while working on the degree. Writing this book gets me back into that system. I will need to keep that system going when I publish this book so that I can move right on to the next one.
    Thank again!!

    Summary
    Goal. Vs. System
System is very useful as it create not any burden like goal does
Three ways to achieve a good system.
    1 Decide your target
    2. Ask question how to get their
3.Apply and keep improving your system. Find solution of every problem

Great insight! I too have found that a system takes a great while to build. It's important to keep at it and constantly adjust along the way. Also, some systems only work short-term, but that's okay too, because they still got you some work done.

  • @Knowledge_Nuggies
    @Knowledge_Nuggies 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Goals are nothing but milestones for short-term planning within the frame of your long-term direction. Vision, strategy, habits and perseverance (=the system / journey) are where it's at. Goals are just for tracking progress, but never a means in itself. That's why goals and the KPIs you track should be aligned, if not identical. If your goals are a means in itself, you will end up leapfrogging with no clear strategic direction: 100k, 200k, 300k etc. But what for!? Think of the end of the flagpole first! Also, thinking of yourself as a business might help: You can apply all those terms to your life just like managers apply them to a corporation.

The goal of goal setting is to stop setting goals! Setting goals helps us design systems that replace the need for goals. And, the "high" you get when you accomplish a set goal is replaced by something different...something deeper...less titillating, perhaps...but far superior! Just KNOWING that I am living the life I always wanted to live has changed my life completely.

" Winners and losers have the same goals.” ― James Clear, Atomic Habits. Popular quote missed the point, without goal there wouldn't be play in first place, let alone win/loss. Goal that can not drive a person, is not goal at all, it is more of random wish.

Know that whatever you are going through, its temporary. You are eternal. You are the power. You are an individual expression of your Creator. You are life itself. Any problem in your life comes from an idea you believe to be true and a fear based emotion. Change must happen on a mental and emotional level. Thats where the magic happens. Powerlessness is an illusion. You are the power in your life. Any circumstance has no power or meaning other than what you choose to believe. Be strong and consistent. Stay blessed 🙏

A proper system sets you up for falling into the pits of success while the most noble goal sets you up for failure more often than desired.

Okay, I was apprehensive about this video. And I was right. I was being way too goal oriented. And whenever I completed a goal, I would get upset wondering why I'm so happy because there are more goals left.

Really nice video.... this is so true! Focus on the process and stay consistent, then the goal will take care of itself.

When we set unrealistic goals it leads to frustration and misery. Precisely why a lot of people develop mental stress including me :( Thank you for this video!

I would disagree regarding the focus being on goals as a negative thing. Rather than it causing us to operate from a position of failure it actually causes us to operate from a position of hope, inspiration, and aspiration.
Always have goals, and always have steps (or systems) to achieve them.
Otherwise, if you are simply implementing systems then all you actually have are habits, and while habits are good, they will keep you in the same place.

If you heard of the MBTI personality test. The xxTP types think on introverted thinking based on systems. The xxTJ types think on extroverted thinking based on goals. Coincidence that you brought these two concepts in this video.

Though I agree with much of this equation, I think there is an important missing element: Why are you pursuing your goal? For me this is almost more motivating than the goal itself. Are you writing a book because you have important information that can needs to be shared and can help others? Because you love storytelling? Do you just want to be a better writer? We usually have multiple reasons for doing something, but these affect how you develop your system as your goal itself might change. For example, if you have important information to share, you might discover that making videos or hiring a writer is better than writing it yourself and help you find a system that gives you more fulfillment and is more sustainable on the long run.

Wth is is great information! I think goals are good to start with, but you have to have a system to get there, which becomes a lifestyle.

hi! so I'm a linguistic student and I was so captivated by your accent! the way you pronounce ds is typically Latin, do you perhaps speak Italian or Spanish as a second language? my money is on Italian.
also your I s are open and your hs are overenunciated and have difficulty in pronouncing diphthong that don't exist in Latin languages so I'm pretty sure I'm right, please let me know. I wanna know if I'm right :)
