Just a quick video showing the competitive playlist with strike scoring in Week 1, hitting over 466k score threshold solo. Details below.
I guess these change each day now, which was unexpected. I was originally thinking of going into The Glassway and recording a more succinct guide on how to get these done, focusing on overall tips and key things to get these high scores, regardless of the week. But considering this changes daily, I think that's even more applicable now, so I'll probably do one of those later today, or tomorrow. Either way, here's a semi-decent run for this one. Again, a couple of chains could be a lot better, and I missed a finisher or two with the bonus emote. But outside of that it should be decent.
To answer the questions from the last video:
- Why emote before finishing enemies?
If you use an emote before using a finisher on an orange bar or champion, it gives you the "Insult to Injury" medal which gives you a lot more points. It's the single most important thing to do when going for a high score. If it's not working for you consistently, make sure that you see the emote text appear on the screen, otherwise it doesn't seem to work (which can happen if you emote too often). In that case, keep doing the emotes until the text appears again.
- How do your abilities come back so fast?
As part of the event, your characters get the "Gold Contender's Boon" after getting a gold score in the Guardian Games competitive playlist. With this buff, weapon kills give you ability buffs and more regen, and ability kills give your weapons increased damage. If you're going for a high score run, you always want to do a first run where you just reach the gold score to get this buff for your actual high score run.

Completely forgot this strike existed. Since light fall I have played this strike two times, whereas I’ve played arms dealer about 60

They took it out of rotation for being too easy they said were gonna change it like lake of shadows

They took it out of the vanguard playlist and nightfall rotation since Lightfall because they're gonna rework it alongside Exodus Strike.
this and exodus crash have been given very low priority in the pool because they're going to get reworked (at least it's what it has been said, unsure if it has been sidelined)

Bungie was supposed to give it and Exodus Crash the update treatment like Lake of Shadows and Arms Dealer. However, given how those updates to Lake of Shadows and Arms Dealer were received by the player base I believe they “held off” on updates to these ones.

@@FlammableRadishMake sure your team avoids using lingering dmg weapons or perks. My boy was using Kinetic Tremors on the Buzzard and we were wondering why the barrier champs were dying mid emote lol

Well I didn't score as much as you, but still Top 10%. I guess we'll just have to do these every day to stay in that bracket.
I got an overload around the 11:10 section of the strike. I just skipped him and only got 330k on my first run but I guess that was enough cause I got the exotic

In the section at 10:31(just after the boost vent and before the drill), I keep getting vex harpies spawning instead of the cabal and the unstoppable and then down below they're also vex with an OVERLOAD?
Am I doing something wrong to trigger vex + an overload instead of the 2 cabal champs?

Sometimes, the Emote doesn't register on the screen when you use it. If it doesn't then you don't get the Insult to Injury medal when you Emote then perform a Finisher, as it happened with that Unstoppable Champion.
if you dont see the text pop up on the left side of your screen when emoting, then you wont get the full amount of points. He was trying to get the text to pop up but then just gave up cause u kinda gotta move quick haha, thats why he only got 6k on that kill instead of 11k
The bottom left text needs to recognize that you are performing an e-mote before it can count towards points for finishing the champ.❤

Yes, the main thing is emote before you finisher champs and yellow bar enemies and super kill bosses, like in this video.

@SonicXJ9 they did some rotation, 3 strikes, inverted must the rotation for today's reset iirc.

You get a lot of points for it, it's almost essential for getting a higher score.

A huge boost to your points if you emote before finishing every orange bar, yellow bar and champs.

What does emoting before the finisher do?
It gives the the insult to injury medal which is around 15,000 points works on all champs, yellow, and orange bars in the strike. You won't break 200k without doing it.

Solar Hunter with assassins cowl like eso use trinity ghoul and a heavy machine gun emote finish every orange bar / champion and that’s pretty much it kill everything else with trinity easy top 10%

For whatever reason yesterday my hunter never got the gold boon, I couldn't figure it out but it was on my titan and warlock ended up easily getting 330k. My hunter finally got the buff after doing todays NF
Rng score cuz when you go to the boss, before jumping area.
You have 2 scenarios
1: Unstop spawn with ads
2: No ads and going down and overload spawn.

How to stun Barriers with Machine Gun???????
Being radiant let’s you pierce barrier shields on any weapon that doesn’t already have a champion mod on it
also there’s a fragment that lets you get radiant just by using your melee you see him do that just before he uses his machine gun.
is wierd how finishing 1 barrier gives you over 13K points and finishing another barrier gives you half of the points (both with emote before)
