I finally got one with a crappy mag and masterwork last night after at least 80 drops and every other perk combo. I'll take it. I'm done.

Luckily we can still farm these weapons after final shape drops, we won't be able to target farm them though. Make sure You're spending your tokens at the chest by Lord shax
Honestly, if you want a legendary sunshot, i would reccomend Zaouli's Bane from Kingsfall, which can get Explosive Rounds and Incandescent, with both being enhanced.
I do get the utility of heal clip, so thats fine, but i feel Zaouli's does a better job at trying to fill Sunshots niche as an great ad clear weapon.

I would've assumed so too but at least in up to minus 15 pantheon I've found myself really preferring the benefits of heal clip and not missing EP much.
@@jabberboxThat’s fine and all, but Zaouli’s still has EP. And if you’re decent enough to get the Harrowed version, it’s going to also be Enhancable in Final Shape and since Boss/Major/Minor spec is being deleted from the game, it just makes Adept Reload that much better.
Done 2 legend onslaught run yesterday with both hand cannons and zaouli’s just feels like it hits for so much more can’t beat it

I just assumed that the HC/MH combo was designed specifically for PVP so that if you win a duel, you can immediately heal and get a damage boost for another duel immediately after.

Keep in ming that bungie is removing spec mods. Youre going to be using backup mag on everything, so you dont want a magazine boost perk. Flared is literally the best come final shape.
Imo it’s always been best, hell I’d take modern drop mag (+20 or 30 reload and passive .9x scalar but inverse mag effect of extended mag) on every gun if I had the choice, the reload speed is just amazing.

Not really, example
A tactical mag + backup mag mod succession can only have 4 rounds in the mag
While a extended mag +backup mag mod can have 5 rounds
When you factor in reconstruction that extra round will make a difference.
So mags varies on a gun by gun basis

@@boltstriker7736 fair point, I should’ve specified for more general use of primary ad-clear guns, stuff like fourth times/BNS cataclysmic can definitely use the extra shot for an extra proc of fttc before a reload
if you want a damage boost use solar surge also use solar aspects for increase reload speed

Heal clip on this goes great with solar hunter for the crazy reload speed buff
My build is gunpowder gamble and speed loaders with heal clip/inc so you can constantly getting gunpowder gamble which lets u carry a healing nade instead while also giving you orbs for your solar surges due to the fire incandescent and gunpowder
they need to revert the mag houl changes and just make it need more shots to activate in 180s like chill clip manages to work

Heal Clip feels incredible now. I nabbed a heal clip/frenzy igneous and it's been doing great work
Parabellum is pretty juicy with heal clip frenzy too
I got extremely lucky last night and got the HC/Incandescent roll. The increased dropped rate is a godsend I got like 5 or more on the final chest alone.

EDIT - Especially if you’re capable of finding an LFG and landing a Harrowed roll, which will be Enhancable in Final Shape and can slot Adept Reload.
Bc zhoulis is way harder to get in general let alone with a good roll. I have cleared kings fall so many times that i have almost three (missing 2 on yasmin) of the weapons craftable. Have yet to recieve a single zhoulis at all red border or normal. You are correct that it is better at filling sunshot role than lunas tho. Lunas is more akin to a legendary ace if you can get a good mh roll on it.
Luna's will also be enhanceable in TFS as well
With solar fragment that gives u energy when healing some one plus the Veritas brow. Plus the origin trait. Just nades and everything else for days
Just a heads up, Adhortative (the undying pulse) can be crafted with heal clip and incandescent as well, and pulses are getting buffed next season. Sometimes you just need more range than a hc, def worth crafting.

Ehroar, if you’re playing the top plates on the planets encounter you can jump across on top of the planets without having to go into the middle exposing yourself to all of those adds
This gun creates so much explosions it makes you feel like you are using Sunshot. Couple that with the absence of upward kick common in other archetypes.. its a big win.
Edge Transit, don't discount Explosive Light, especially in a damage phase where people are making orbs.
You're right. Explosive Light and cascade point goes hard AF in that situation.
Just use Regnant if you want explosive light don't be naive
Luna's Howl with Heal clip + incandescent / mag howl is a thing of beauty. Works fantastically for both PVP and PVE IMO.
Proccing ember of benevolence in fireteam content also helps regen significantly.
Midnight coup with firefly / EP + OFA also "kinda" fits the kinetic "sunshot at home" niche. While still freeing up at exotic slot.
Obviously both legendaries aren't as good as Sun shot, they can't. But given that TFS will give Sun shot "an adjustment", the gap might even be closer than we think.
For Edge Transit, autoloading holster does work for some players. Because you lose Envious stacks if you fail to stay alive before the DPS phase. If the player is not confident, he can use ALH instead.
For my top 2 Forbearance rolls.. Both with Demo, but chain reaction, and one For All ( beleive this was the quest one). I also have a Stats for All/Chain roll and a Ambitious/Golden

I have a subsistence incandescent roll and it's one of the most fun ad clear weapons I have
Honestly torn on this, helio, or adorative as my favorite heal clip inca weapon. Adhorative pulse especially after the massive buffs its getting may be the best, but both helio and lunas feel great depending on the range im in.
Also... its weird how much i enjoy epocial, especially paired with conditional and the raid LFR for x2 of the origin trait. I lose out on heal clip but gain amazing feeling of the gun. Im so torn on what to use
Yeah, the weapon feels really good. Didn't know heal clip was so legit until I started to use it.
I already have Zaoulis crated and recently got an adept version with Explosive payload and incandescent, but I still want a Lunas howl with heal clip and incandescent. Unfortunately 70+ in, I've yet to get one

Glorious Howl I feel like sits in the same or similar area as Sword Logic. Farming quick kills on red bars ramps damage to allow to to increase your ttk on tankier enemies
I don't really find myself using a primary for bosses/mini bosses. A 50% buff for a max of 11 shots is not worth the perk slot especially when there's time gated damage phases. I'm not gonna shoot 11 bullets of Lunas before swapping to heavy.
Edit: only thing I could see this helping out with is bait & switch. And event that's very niche and a REAAAACH
I have a god roll PvE Luna’s Howl and Zaouli’s Bane is still my preferred legendary solar hand cannon.
Yeah but don’t judge yet Luna will be enhanceable next season

The ability to heal yourself and nearby allies goes a long way. Zaouli’s is also a bit clunky feeling to me. Guess it’s personal preference
If you have ZB already, Luna's isn't for you. It's for people who haven't gotten ZB yet. Especially if you have a Harrowed ZB, you'll be able to enhance it in TFS.

I 100% recommend heal clip incan. I've done a whole bunch of flawless master lost sectors and 5 coil runs solo with it.
I LOVE heal clip incandescent Luna's and have found myself really prefering the survability over explosive payload from Zaouli's Bane in pantheon, however a roll i would not overlook is enhanced subsistence incandescent since with back up mag itll get THREE bullets back perk kill which will make it pretty insane for ad clear. I have a similar roll which i love on round robin but incandescent will make this a whole new beast
you should try and make a build for starfire protocol with that luna roll especially with the fragment that gives you 300% grenade mele and class energy when you heal teammates.
Starfire and benevolence is so undrated people used starfire with healing rift before the changes to and the nerf only affects empowering its soooo string with dynamo ashes assets and bomber and impact induction

My personal favorite but in 2 weeks we’ll be able to enhance Brave weapons, so the gap will likely be bridged between the two at least a little bit

Got my heal clip incandescent lunas today. I was so happy. Unfortunately no reload master work and flared mag well but oh well
One argument against Envious>ALH I’ve experienced recently is if you’re not able to readily clear ads, you won’t get as much mileage out of Envious (I can’t really think of a time where you wouldn’t other than if you’re a runner for Caretaker, I’m sure there might be more). Just something to be mindful of for use case.

I have the 4/5 god roll Lunas with heal clip incandescent and its wonderful I feel like an off healer. Its wonderfully paired with my god roll mountain top with auto loading recom. Have it paired with Dragons breath, but I jate how slow the rocket is. Any suggestions on DB replacements?
I was able to get an enlightened action + incan and desperate measures roll with a stability masterwork and hammer forged+ flared mag and I said “f this I’m done farming”. Took weeks to get it
I watched aztecross gl video yesterday while your Godroll edge transit was near the top cascade and explosive light was at the top at least with his damage testing but to each there own
Keep in mind the “ darkest before” gets this roll and pulses are getting omega buff in final shape
Even better, get an Ahortative. Its craftable and his Origin Perks let's you fire almost infinite

Forebearance Is about to be outshined by undercurrent because of vaultshot paired with demo, stats for all or lead from gold. With the chain reaction nerf I think this is the best option

It does stay but the damage from lucky pants isn’t that great cross tested it did like 390k lucky pants does more damage with faster firing weapons top we’re wardens law, malfeasance, and I think erianas vow Luna’s was pretty mid tier
HC/Incandescent Luna's Howl is good, really good and it feels just right, as I never liked Zaouli's Bane. Ofc, it's even better in a raid/dungeon team with a solar build and ember of benevolence. This changed by Well-lock build.
I know Sunshot is better and it will still is in solo content, but in a team, I prefer the benefits of heal clip.

So many people not willing to move on from Zaolis. Heal clip os the better perk. I just dont think explosive changes the break points for damage enough on handcannons to utilize it over a utility perk like HC.

I'm just someone who dislikes that 180 HC visual kick. I like it more when the weapons kick a bit more and away, allowing me to see my target in between shots. The 180 kick covers the enemy too much, at least on high FOV. Not sure if I want to reduce FOV for the sake of visual target acquisition.

You didn't mention that Bungie will be allowing you to enhance these brave weapons. Another gun to look out for might be the Blast Furnace because of the huge buffs Bungie is giving to Pulse Rifles. I'm personally looking for Frenzy and Kinetic Tremors

I like high caliber rounds over explosive.
Not sure if I’d compare this to sunshot…. It’s no where near the add clear god that is sunshot.
Its more a utility weapon to stay alive when using an exotic in a different slot.
The solar dmg type has insane synergy too with healing nades to keep that resto going. Especially on a hand cannon..
for hunters this goes hard. Ridiculously hard. But its plays a very different roll than sunshot
Zaouli's bane is craftable.. I like it better. Enhanced perks are too good
All brave weapons will have the ability to enhance their perks in the final shape

Zaouli's Bane is better if you have it. Luna's is good for people who can't do King's Fall for whatever reason.

Mag howl in current state is not a PvE perk. It was incredible in PvE when it first rolled out but it's really only good for PvP now (specifically sixes).

I’m sorry but as a lover of both Luna’s and Zaouli’s I will never say it’s at the same level that Sunshot is. Incandescent only applies scorch which does damage over time but doesn’t actually kill any adds unless you proc the ignition. Sunshot literally disintegrates any red bar and some orange bars standing around the enemy you killed instantaneously. Plus it has the explosive payload, and it can proc ignitions to take care of larger enemies cause it scorches on impact instead of having it spread to other enemies. I’ve been matchmaking a lot of 50 wave onslaughts lately and I normally will get 1000-1100 kills and the other 2 people wont have that combined together. I’m not saying this to brag, literally all I do is boop a single enemy with Sunshot and everything around it dies. That plus a auto/recomb mountaintop and an apex for bigger enemies.
I literally have every possible god roll stacked into gold borders but all I wanted was subsistence/incandescent. I’ve grinded upwards of 300 Lunas and not a single one dropped. What the heck am I not doing right?
For a solar pve handcanon luna doesn't come close to zaioli's
