- Destiny 2 Season of the Wish - Solo Onslaught 50 Rounds Completion Gameplay (Normal Mode on Midtown). Just a long video showing gameplay from the new Onslaught activity, clearing the 50 rounds on normal mode. Details below.

Again, this not the solo legend mode yet, as I wanted to learn what's actually going on and how it works on normal mode first. So the natural progression is to test out normal mode, and then go for the legend mode after. Even so, normal mode can be a little tricky in the later rounds, and it still takes a massive amount of time to clear. If you get some bad augments that are far away, and a group of enemies that melt the ADU in the later rounds, there's not too much you can do between the two of those (especially if it's something like the mines that instant wipe you). I can only imagine it'd be even worse on legend mode. Either way, I'll see how that is, as that's the next logical step after the playlist and normal.
As for the best class for this to solo with, I'm not entirely sure yet. This setup is great as you have mass add clear from range, and the resto x2 to help live through everything despite the level deficit. Whether that'll be enough for legend later rounds, I don't know. Banner Titan might be the better option, but with that you don't have the same ranged spawn lockdown, which could make some waves a little awkward to deal with. You'd make up for that with massive overall damage though. There's also the option for some sort of heavy CC build, if you can essentially keep everything from touching the ADU, that might be the play.
Who knows, it's pretty late at this stage, so I'll have a look tomorrow or something. I did one run on legend after this and got to wave 23 the first time, but the ADU took a battering, and even in the earlier rounds it was close. It seems doable regardless, but you'll probably need a bit of luck to not get bad rounds with distant targets, or the ADU to get completely melted.

Tip for anyone queuing with randos, run orpheus tether hunter. It makes everything so much easier on you.

Bleak Watcher Warlock carried me and two other random blueberries to the full 50 with consummate ease. They were decent players tbf

2 StasisLocks + 1 Banner Titan might be the most relaxing setup for this. This activity might be the best way to test out some PVE bulids with LFG randoms, since it's light on champions compared to GMs, and light on mechanics compared to dungeons/raids.
I found 1 wellock, 1 banner titan, and 1 Orpheus Hunter to work better. Warlock runs hierarchy of needs with phoenix protocol and has basically infinite wells. I was getting well back 2/3 through my current well
I completed legend with 2 Orpheus hunters and one stasis warlock worked out amazing
Dam this guy is truly a Destiny lord....they need to make a gun or armor set based on this guys name...he truly is a badass..I know he definitely not want this but I think Bungie should pay this guy to be a carrier in endgame activities...because I think he could teach and lead so many people to get something done they have difficulty doing.

Managed to do with this with randoms through mm not fireteam finder, gotta say they were probably some of the best blueberries I've had. I joined in progress at around 25 rounds, I just started running devour warlock after that which gotta say Nezarec's sin with the new origin trait is pretty fun

First run i did with randoms on Vostok was till wave 50 with not dying once on a Warlock… Trying do it on this map with Hive and I can’t get past round 12 lmao…

I just ran a slow firing LMG for the surge and arbalest to take down Tormentors fast, the decoys also distract them.

How do you circumvent the match making?
On normal mode this isn't too bad with 3. Solo seems achievable with an optimized build.
Legend is as well but by the looks of it everyone has got to go full on stasis builds.
Warlocks can use phoenix protocol too. That got me wells on wells jus imagine em both
How do you have 3 rockets loaded? Is it bipod? Is that worth using over bait and switch?
Bipod/reconstruction allows 4 in the mag but with reduced damage. Bait and switch is better for damage rotations on big tanky enemies like bosses. His roll is optimal for add management which is 95% of this game mode. Bipod/reconstruction also great for a lot of gms.

I did all 50 waves last night with randos. It only really starts to heat up after level 40. Its a good challenge but not too bad (Normal).

How do you queue solo in a matchmade activity without people joining on you randomly ??
On PS, go to settings, systems, date, and time, and change the year to something ridiculous. Like 2079 or something. Then, go back to Destiny and launch an activity. It'll take some extra time, but you'll go in solo. I had some unlucky times where u got matched with a person once, but that was just a one time thing

Its 3 years old, but it still works as i've just tested it in vanguard and onslaught.
Just dont forget to disable your antivirus/firewall programs before running this script in powershell, otherwise it wont work.

How did you load into this activity solo?
What you do is, whatever system you're playing on, go to settings, change the date and time to something ridiculous like 2015 or 2030, and the time to a few hours forward or behind. The matchmaking works to pair you with people somewhat within your time zone. And since there is no one living in 2030 lol you'll go in solo. It takes a while tho before the game decides to stop searching and throw you in by yourself.
