    New pickup trucks have more capability, efficiency and comfort than ever, and Ford's 2018 F-150 offers best-in-class towing and efficiency among full-size trucks. At the high end of the lineup, it also offers the look, feel and luxury of a beautiful living room, not to mention a massaging driver's seat. At the low end, the F-150 is available for less money than any other full-size truck except the Ram 1500, which costs less by about $500. In the distinctive Raptor, it offers 450 hp, a rally-ready suspension and plenty of attitude.
    The F-150 offers four gas engines. The base 3.3-liter V6 produces 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque, and a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 makes 325 hp and 400 lb-ft. A 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 makes 375 hp and 470 lb-ft, except in the Raptor, where it's tuned to make 450 hp. A 5.0-liter V8 produces 395 hp and 400 lb-ft. In the Spring a new 3.0-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel expected to produce 250 hp and 440 lb-ft will become available. Read the full review on CarGurus: cargur.us/mxPDD

    “I’m blah blah blah from car gurus. Sit back and let me tell how there’s nothing wrong with any vehicle I’ve ever tested. I love everything about every car or truck we’ve every driven. Today the F-150. There are no documented problems ever with the amazing eco boost engines. It’s the best truck ever, until I review another truck next week.”

      They beat up the new Terrain, and didn't like the brakes on the new Traverse. But they do love Honda's and Ford.

    Your videos is what I personally consider very helpful , straight to the point , less talk and just right down to details as to what a would be buyer like me will want to learn and understand . I am actually trading in or replacing my current vehicle to a truck but don’t know what will best suit my need . I’m not a contractor or in any business requiring a truck . I’m just a family man of 2 kids . We’ve been buying family Vans, small SUV . My kids now want a truck or a full SUV but we don’t know what brand / model to trust . I am aware of the fact you can’t win everything . What will you best recommend for a truck . All I know I want a full and spacious cab front / back , good fuel economy -wise engine . Thank you .

    The truth is that the STX package on the XL base trim delivers most of what the driving public wants/needs in a new truck. Priced and optioned below the XLT trim, the STX does not have the luxury options such as heated/cooled front/rear massaging leather seats, panoramic sunroof, or LED headlights. The STX package does have all the power options like power windows, door locks, remote locking tailgate, SYNC 3 8" screen, Android auto, Apple carplay, Sirrus XM, navigation, bluetooth cell connectivity, body paint matched bumpers, distinctive grill, 20" wheels and tires, specialty cloth seats, etc. I bought my 2018 STX CrewCab with the 3.5L ecoboost, 10 speed transmission, 4x4, electronic locking rear differential (3:55 ratio), Max Tow packing including 36 gallon fuel tank, brake controller, pro backup assist, rear view camera, upgraded stabilizer bars, upgraded transmission and oil coolers, etc for $34K. That's nearly half of what this Limited F150 cost. The cab room is the same, the box room is the same, the engine, transmission, body panels are the same. My truck is rated to tow 12,700 LBS and has a payload rating of 1852 LBS. The truck can do the same work. The gadgets are less. The price is HALF.

  • @markp8295
    @markp8295 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just Google the faults for this car. How can you recommend a pickup which has a highish engine failure rate where it costs about $4.5k to fix. Sure it happens most often at about 70k miles, but that's removed 30% from lifespan and cripples resale value.
    Information based on research on all f150 models by year of manufacture from 1984-2017. All consistently have these engine issues. Except the 2004 model which is more than 3 times as likely to have an engine failure as the other models.

    • @GlenWFord-ps8ts
      @GlenWFord-ps8ts 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      All trucks have issues in certain areas. Your comment is worthless. And it`s also only on certain engines. You make it sound like all Ford engines blow up at 70k which is total bullshit. Get an education.

    • @markp8295
      @markp8295 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Recent news. They have recalled 30,000 of the 2017 3.3L V6 models for engine issues.
      Next I said failure rate not number. They on average fail 30,000 miles earlier than comparably priced pickups.
      In 2013 the U.S. government had to investigate the engine failures because the rate was so high for engines loosing power or failing to start. The issue affected 400,000. F150s.
      List of the most common faults in the past 5 years.
      Spark Plug Ejection From Cylinder Head
      (Basically blowing up.)
      Ignition coil failure.
      Engine failure to idle (sensor malfunction)
      Head gasket leakage.
      (These are all within warranty common faults from Ford's report.)

      Next look at the MPG which is dreadful at 18MPG for the European model. Then there is the European crash safety rating. 2* all round (occupants, pedestrians, safety features.) and shockingly 2* for occupants. You're safer in a ford fiesta if you get hit side on by another car.
      All but the most luxury Toyota pickup variant beats the ford for reliability, crash safety and fuel economy also cheaper to insure and service.

    • @markp8295
      @markp8295 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Toyota Tacoma the closest to the f150 in size and price (same size half the price.) Gets a 5 star euro ncap rating on all fronts except pedestrian but gets an exceptional on occupant safety.
      22mpg so still poor but better than the f150 by 20%.
      And I can get 2 of them for the price.

    • @GlenWFord-ps8ts
      @GlenWFord-ps8ts 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Mark Mark- Get your facts straight-Tacoma 2016-17 has 32,000 v6 recalls for stalling, 228,000 for rear end leaks. The safety rating is 4 stars-5 for Ford. Ford gets 20 mpg-Tacoma 18. The list goes on and on. Your pathetic attack on Ford has given you no credibility. Your double posts have made it worse for you. Edit-Ford sells more trucks for a reason. They outdo Tacoma in every aspect. Hell-even Chevy outsells Toyota. And it`s not "half the price. YOU are boldly lying.
