    Ive had 2 3.5 Ecoboosts. My 2013 had 80k miles when i traded it in. It was my daily/tow pig/weekend race truck and everything in between. It never complained for 4 year. Tuned it ran a 13.1 in the quarter mile. My new 2017 3.5 is amazing. Does everything perfectly. First thing i did was get a tune for it. First time out it ran a 12.8 in the quarter. 7000 lb trailer it tows in 9th gear effortlessly. Almost forget a trailer is back there

    I have thought about it. My neighbor has one and we are old school V8 guys. He loves it. My main thing is more moving parts to go wrong so longevity is a main concern for me. Cause it will have to last a long time

    I traded my 14 limited with the 6.2 in it for my 16 limited with the ecoboost , I was skeptical about going to the ecoboost but within a couple days the ecoboost won me over and to this day i am pleased i did...don't miss the growl of the v8 because i blow v8's away so it evens out...lol...im waiting till 2020 to get my next f-150- which will be my last one i think..AWESOME REVIEW BRO

    We sold one of these. Beautiful truck! Its literally just as luxurious inside as a brand new Lincoln. Also, i have it from a PD engineer that the 7X will be tested in the F150 (optional upgrade for Raptor, or maybe even Lightning) and Mustang (possible Boss 429 above the GT500), but no chances of seeing anything before 2020, likely 2021. The Windsor plant will start pumping the engines out, first for Super Dutuy, before years end! Ford, with the discontinuation of the taurus, fusion, and fiesta, wants to further dominate the truck market and further sales of Mustang and the SUV lineup. Explorer will have the engine pointing the correct way next generation. Even a 5.0 version would make my day!

    I like how Chevy makes wheel liners standard on the Silverado. Why can't Ford do that with the King Ranch, Platinum and Limited?

    Bought a new F150 STX 4wd Crew with the baby ecoboost 2.7 and honestly for less than half the price of this Limited it’s a nice truck. No power seats, opening rear window or power/heated seats, but compared to my old Tacoma’s it’s loaded, comfortable and quiet. Plenty of power and getting better fuel mileage than the v6 Tacoma. 0-60 it will walk off from the V8’s and so far 25k and not a single problem. Ford makes a great truck, but so does GM and RAM, Tundras showing it age, but will last for ever or until road salt takes them out, my Tacoma’s all turned into 54 Buick’s left out in the woods underneath, even the rear ends rusted out, but the engines were purring like day one and I religiously sprayed them out. If you have the money get what you want, but Ford will deal and you can drive a good truck that doesn’t look like the city water company truck for way less than 65 grand!

    No matter how you try to spin it you will not beat the sound of a V8 in a light duty truck nor will you ever hope to beat it if it's cammed.
    On the other side of things the V6 is only competitive because of its turbochargers otherwise it would be like every other truck before it that came with a V6. It would be a dog. So that poses the question provided you're the kind of person who spends the money or time to modify their vehicle, why not just start with a V8?
    Baseline even if you don't touch it the engine is still good but if you start making it better you can do more and if you really go nuts you can do unholy things.
    That's just my opinion. At the end of the day for the average consumer who isn't going to probably ever so much as pop the hood both the ecoboost and the coyote as they sit are fine and regardless you will be happy with either. When all is said and done it's really going to come down to preference. I'm an old school V8 guy and always will be till the day I die. Nothing anyone says will change that. To top all of that off I don't keep vehicles stock so I don't look at it through the lens that most people do but I understand I'm a minority in that sense.

      Well said. Agreed!

    • @VIccs826
      @VIccs826 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I agree with you 100%. Whenever I voice my opinion on V8s many online fucktards will reply with a “the only reason you like the V8s is because of the sound they make.” It’s really annoying. Naturally aspirated V8s have stood the test of time. All these new little crappy Turbo V6 F150s promise great fuel efficiency but fail (alongside the notorious power loss Ecoboost engines can experience). There is no replacement for displacement; therefore, simplicity is key. Those shitty little turbos are going to be a huge pain in the ass later down the line for the owners when their vehicles break down and need to be repaired by a technician at a Ford dealership...

    • @FloorItDuh
      @FloorItDuh 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look up what is involved in a full timing job on an ecoboost and the failure rate of the timing components people are seeing. Also if you like V8's head over to my channel and check out my truck. I think you'll like it. I'd like to get it featured at some point but it's nowhere near done and I suck at the whole making video's thing.

    • @jasonlarsen3515
      @jasonlarsen3515 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Why not save us all your blabbering and just say you like V8’s. Let’s use your line about no turbos and a v6 is a dog. Take the turbo off a diesel 6 cylinder and see how it does. Every tow test the 3.5 ecoboost is king. Yes, the towing MPG isn’t the greatest but it’s not that far off. The turbos are high maintenance boogie man myth hasn’t played out any factual data so your moving parts argument is like you said just opinion. The competitions cylinder deactivation is way more complex and less proven then turbos are.
