I also recall that these idents were surround sound too cause they used them in the display TVs and surround sound set ups!

All of the idents on the channel were produced with 5.1 surround in mind, and I believe everything on the channel was broadcast in 5.1
What I like is because of the diamond shape, you can see the untouched world on the outside, whilst enjoying the glamorous world inside the diamond.

I wonder why this channel was discontinued. It was a personal favourite of mine.
Well, it was actually because every BBC channel was getting its own HD variants, so there was no need for the HD channel any more.
