1999 had the best idents for the channel! It was so cute and fitting for the channel! They should have kept it.
Great ident review, Martyn... and yes, I like these BBC Knowledge idents, they are so beautiful and had really great art styles, and the Ladders of Learning ident is really brilliant indeed, though it looks like an universe for Wikipedia. Also, I respect your opinion on the Circles ident - in my opinion, the Circles ident before BBC Knowledge was replaced with BBC Four is quite beautiful, and the same goes to the fanfare.

The BBC Knowledge "Circles" ident is quite beautiful as it seems.
BBC Four was BBC Knowledge and BBC Three was BBC Choice but BBC Three is now a digital web site and a block on BBC One. And BBC Knowledge knew that BBC 4 is coming during its broadcast. And BBC Choice also knew that they were going into BBC Three. BBC One, BBC Two, and BBC Four are still here because of ratings that viewers would turn on the Telly and watch anything that would be interesting to them. BBC Knowledge that is the current international channel from the BBC.

From BBC Knowledge maybe is time to look at BBC Learning Zone on BBC Two idents at next ident review.

I really liked the Ladders of Learning ident. It has good animation & music.
For me I think the ladders of learning was probably the best and probably the most recognised ident of the lot
am a massive ident fan myself, im 9 years old and have loved idents for as long as i can remember. kinda wanna make ident reviews similar to yours.

My suggestions for the next episode: South Park idents (since I liked The Simpsons idents episode), classic CBeebies and CITV.
Good set of idents. They would have made good bbc two idents replacing the 2s thinking about it

Isn't BBC knowledge the exact same concept as BBC bitesize?
Closely related, but BBC Knowledge was aimed at a broader audience. Which itself had roots in the Open University and BBC Schools strands.
