Hi, thank you :) I solved all the questions once and marked the ones I was unable to solve, took too long for or found challenging. I would periodically revisit the important chapters such as percentages and time, speed, distance every few weeks and solve the questions I had marked, once more.
@@debansum thanks for replying! Did you also mark the challenging questions from mock tests, worksheets etc. to practice later? I'm really afraid of forgetting how to do a particular question after a few months...
@@palak7043 I did! IMS introduced the new feature of filtering questions from past mocks which was very useful. Before that, I would maintain a Word document where I would record screenshots of the difficult questions from each mock. I would practice it from time to time.
I just have a query related to arun sharma quants book. Is it required to solve lod level 1 ques of all the chap and build concepts then jump to lod 2 of all chap Or solve all levels from each chapters from starting.
doing all the LOD levels doesn't make sense because CAT hardly asks questions from LOD 3 LOD 1 you should be thorough with And LOD 2 once you're done covering major portion of your syllabus.

Hi Prahalad, I've been a reader since childhood and hence didn't have to put in much effort for the VARC section, which is why I didn't mention it in the video. With that said, a few things I would suggest are - improving reading speed by reading a newspaper end-to-end and at least 25-30 pages of a book daily. Apart from that, follow the Aeon blog. They post articles from across different topics, just like you can expect on the CAT exam. In fact there have been a few instances where RC passages have been picked from Aeon on the actual exam. One resource I would highly recommend, that personally helped me greatly in my RC accuracy is a blog called The Cat Writer by an IMS faculty, Tony Xavier. You can find it with a Google search. Just go to the 'verbal strat' section and go through the posts. Incredibly helpful. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

If you're asking about the interviews, I shared the details about my job that weren't allowing me to focus properly on CAT preparation which was why I quit. Also, to answer your other question, I took the IMS and CL test series.
@debansu even I am preparing on my own through arun Sharma books, I had a few doubts if you could share your social media handle or mail id it would really be helpful. If not here are a few questions. I have been following Arun Sharma, so in the dilr section there are mock tests where your score to percentile converter scale has been given, I wanted to know how accurate it is to the real cat because I have been getting around 90 percentile but there are few ones where I have even got 96-99 and less than 85 as well and a similar question to quant section, should you be able to solve all the questions of lod 1 and 2 or atleast how many of them should you get it right assuming each has 100. All these because want to know where i exactly stand. And if you could share your knowledge on which online mock tests to take

Sharing my thoughts on the questions you asked - I'm not aware of the score-to-percentile scale on Arun Sharma's DILR book as I haven't used it. Percentiles usually tend to fluctuate a fair bit because the difficulty levels change. However, the best way to benchmark yourself is one of the past year papers. Solve it in a test format and check online what the percentile corresponding to your score in that year was. Usually you will see that that percentile is slightly higher than mock tests. When it comes to the QA book, I would say don't look at a fixed number of questions you should be able to solve in LOD 1 or 2 because they are for practice and improvement. Mark any question you get stuck on or find difficult so that when you come back later you can practice it again. However if I had to give a broad guess, if there are 100 questions in LOD 1 you should be able to solve 80-85 (without any time limit). IPMAT and CAT have a similar framework. Look for someone who can teach you the basics well, you'll be able to do it.
