The best revelation in this is; agreeing with how true what he’s saying is, then subsequently realizing that it Is I who suffer from envy. I do love when God uses men like this to convict the heart in such a blunt but merciful fashion.

Very good. Envy is in the top ten of do's and don'ts. So is theft. Broken capatalism combined with a greedy and selfish political class becomes theft. Your points are well made. Thanks

Social Justice is an evil plight on the earth, we need true biblical justice.
This man I interviewed used to be a full-blown social Justician or Critical Theorist: th-cam.com/play/PL7QJmrZLF5JvQFxeEOq2Ta72IBntipUDO.html
He is a Christian, law professor at LSU, and is standing firm in his faith against the new Marxist Religion. I appreciate you Doug! Thanks for being straightforward!

I have some significant theological differences with Doug, but his core teaching here is so different from what you hear in the average pulpit. It’s like a delicious steak compared to pablum.

Can we create or desire a culture in which everyone who works enjoys a decent standard of living with access to healthcare?
Does this desire necessarily have anything to do with envy? No.
Could this desire indicate that we care for the poor and needy? Yes.

Hi Michael. I believe this was the original intention of the well meaning folk that carry the banners of "equality" today and yesterday.
Having abandoned the Word. It (the well meaning intention) quickly turned into to our condition outside of the will of our Saviour. Death.
      It's 06-23-2021
There are jobs everywhere, and people are choosing not to work.
Cries of racism, racism are the current mantra.
      Which is well intentioned Racism.
I am the only problem I have ever had.
      Greetings from Colorado Springs Colorado.

What makes me tired is hearing clergy saying we must create justice.
As a lawyer, that bugs me to no end. In the granting of justice, there are winners and losers. If a jury finds a criminal defendant guilty, the people won, and the perp lost. But, if the case was purely circumstantial, with little or no physical evidence or eyewitness testimony, perhaps justice was wrong.
Justice is not about correcting social harms. It is about adjudicating criminal and civil disputes according to court procedures, the rules of evidence, and the applicable statues, regulations, and common law.

This is an interesting thought experiment. However, I believe that wealth and poverty are *inherently* relative, not absolute. So if you double my wealth, and increase the wealth of the already-rich by tenfold, I am in fact and in every real sense poorer than I was before. My neighborhood will be under policed. My children’s schools will be terrible. Politicians will only deal with the concerns of the Lords in their Cloud Cities, cutting their taxes and so on, and not with the serfs. These latter will be well fed on junk food, and entertained to death with electronic devices, and induced to fight the county’s wars, but they will still be serfs. We will have rebuilt Europe ca. 1913.

While in some ways I understand what is being said. However having been raised a protestant, and falling away, and now coming back again. It's more than the Gospel, they don't teach who God is, the gospel became kind of meaningless.
Since becoming a disciple of the Christ in my mid 40's it has been an amazing journey staying away from churches pushing Max Lucado, and Beth Moore types. Rarely do you find the works of people like Dr. Arnold Frucktenbalm, or Michael Heiser. And if you want the gospel know states it more clearly than Aaron Budjen, former rabbinical student turned messianic, wow what a combination of knowledge, and understanding!

Yes, this republic needs a reformation. But, currently refuses to acknowledge racism. Either it does not exist or it’s not really a sin. Until America can see racism hanging off that old rugged cross she won’t really see JESUS. But, if she will then she can see Him as He is and she can be FORGIVEN. Please, preach that preacher. And please receive this punch from a place of agape love

You fail to understand that a spirit-endowed reformation would remedy a thousand problems, including any real racism in society, not the fake, communist-defined type we see on the left.
