Lovely cavalier mate and with the izuzu engine even better I have a mark 3 astra f 1.7td with the same engine completely original and lovely to see a older diesel on the road
The good old reliable 1.7 izzue engine. I had one brand new from Vauxhall when I served my time. Unfortunately it got written off. I paid the finance and vowed I never have another brand new car. Looks in fine fettle with a few jobs needed. 👌👍
Nah think they were done before I had it. It has been well looked after and couldn’t believe it was such low mileage. These engines are well known for doing 500k if maintained! I’m kinda tempted to buy your other one tbh!
@@kierencrichton4325 Aye it says Jan 2020 on the service book, someone's looked after it! My other one drives brilliant too, don't be shy in making an offer on it, comes with a free Proclaimers CD in the Glovebox😂
Had a mk3 astra with same engine--turn fuel screw in 1/3 of a turn and you got more power across the rev range!! Can also run on veg oil, just change fuel filter more often. Currently have a corsa 1.5d isuzu, the smaller version of this, rust is the killer on those :/
What sort of power can be made out of these 1.7td engines and how easily just seen an astra mk3 for sale and was thinking about it as a cheap modified daily
@@woody555kl Stock is/was 82hp but with a bit of tinkering and still keeping the engine not too stressed you can get 100+hp. Adjust fuelling once you got tampercap off-turbo and do decat (piss easy, just smash innards out!!) and its a winner. Watch your temp gauge though, the fuel pump mod is a bstd as its behind the inlet manifold, youll need hex/star screwdriver to gain access. Great diesel engine

Yes with the low mileage I'm hoping it's got a good bit of life left in it.

This was my car last year. Made it to Birmingham and back twice in a week with no issues. Not to mention how amazing on fuel it is
