UPDATE: I managed to refit the door button. The small green plastic peg (picture in the video) needs to be rotated until the slot in the side of it can accept the vertical part of the rod. Link on how to stop Rover 75/MG ZT door locks freezing in winter: th-cam.com/video/0Ud1T7qTmEw/w-d-xo.html

No bother 😂😂
Typical audi rust on the wing's the arm rests are terrible for breaking. Bpw Balance shaft breakes and oil pump goes on them. Decent motor for £1000 i like them best of luck to you with her 👍
Thanks Ali, I've enjoyed it so far 👍
2 things You can grease the mechanism from the outside without dismantle using spray grease with the thin tube attachment ⚠️ Usual cause of handle not opening door....... The threaded rod slips out of position usually when handle forced during frosty days. The setting that works is when there's 6 threads showing at the top of the linkage rod. We strengthen the white plastic piece with aircraft locking wire. This mod makes them frost proof 👍
Looks like a cracker, E46.....a legend. Convertible not for me.
Nice
Steal at 1600 👌🏻 the alloys are mv1 alloys. Just sold mine for an e60 m sport 😂
Cheers I couldn't remember the name of the wheels!
In a time where you can be bricked out of your modern car and have to tow it to the dealer for an update just to start it... your car is one in a hundred. Don't ever let anyone tell you anything else. if you plan to keep the car for quite sometime, the manual 5speed and 6 speed zf are very robust. Personally I own a M3 S54 swapped 325i e46 wagon with a 5speed manual trans from a e36 m3. Still wouldn't trade that inline 6 for any n54/55 grenade
Bargain. And the 3 litre. Lovely. Manual for the win if its my m-sport. But i had the auto which is a smooth cruiser that pulls well. Its design is classic as is the e30 and these are on par. Great find and so cheap at that price. Values will rocket on these.
I think these are the last 3 series that will become sought after, I dont think the later E90 has quite the same appeal.
That’s a lot of car for 1600, good buy I would say
Just an update to this. After replacing bithe rear calipers, handbrake motors and a brand new radiator (£££s), the turbo actuator died and it was going to be £1700 just for the part. I sold the car at a loss with the fault disclosed. Obviously, I learned a lesson and future purchases were much more successful*.
If I end up buying one I will have a good look at the bulkhead corners,, I have welded most of the other areas on a few Mk2 Cavs in the past
Tidy car that 😀
@@Mickhanic-garage I should have kept it!
Rover 75 and a Mk3 Cavalier, good choice.. I have been looking at getting a Mk3 Cavalier, had a couple back in the day 😊
@Mickhanic-garage This was one clean original car, I wish I'd kept it as its been slammed and turned into an SRi replica now.
@@split_pin It happens a lot, original cars are rarer now. I was happy to find recently my Mk2 SRi I sold in 2012 is still about.. same colour but is now an SRi 130 rep
I now own this car its outside 😂 its now an sri replica lowered 60m

Where can i get it and is it possible for Macedonia???
hello Sir how did you remove the sill ?many thanks, regards
Much appreciated great vid especially the vactan tip😊
Great video, 🙏
Nice to hear House Sparrows in the background, you hardly see,or hear them in England now.Regarding the motorcar, looks like you have a "sound" example, hope it runs as good as it looks.I bought a wedgewood blue CDT Connesuier 2ltr diesel,(2001),drives well, but there are some corrosion issues to sort out.Good Luck.
It's great that someone else has commented on the sparrows in the background - the last time I re-watched this video was in the middle of winter and it struck me how many birds you can hear in the spring 😊 The car has been a field somewhere in North Scotland for many years now - this was 2018 before I sold it to a pal as a stop-gap car. I still have a 75 though 😀
Did it stay leak free without any extra sealant applied?
I sold this very shortly after the video so I never got to find out.
Hi Bud, are the rear window sill`s both the same on the left and the right? I have found two new ones but they say right rear door. can you help . all the best J
Hi no they are handed, so you will need to find another one for the left door.
Thanks .
Well waste of 2 minutes
Sod off and make your own videos you potless cretin.
Can someone give a suggestion to swap the inside handle wity new ones without broke the oval chrone surrounding again?
Mine has a 376 im confused and looks nothing like yours
There is another plenum drain on the driver's side up near the bonnet hinge to match the one on the passenger side.
Can’t hear you due to the road and wind noise.
This video is nearly 6 years old, the car is bean tins now and likely the camera too, so not to worry.
Sorry for the loss of your father nice car I think it is one of the most beautiful audi models ever!
What a beauty!
I am sorry for the loss of your father.
Thats a LOT of car for £1900 😮
Just had mine done, it was black exactly the same as on the video, 185000 miles!!
Mirrors might be just the switch
Now got this in my fleet! Safe to say it’s not looking as good as what it did in this video! 😆
Probably worth amending your video title to Plenum *Drain* . Can't believe you didn't a) unclip the ECU (5 seconds) & lift it out the way so you could clean any soppy crud underneath it, and b) "didnae bother" with the other side. Honestly mate, K-BDG might be a better channel name.
Fuck off and make your own video then.
Lovely cavalier mate and with the izuzu engine even better I have a mark 3 astra f 1.7td with the same engine completely original and lovely to see a older diesel on the road
It's had a fair few more owners since this video but it's still going strong and has been further improved 👍
My 2006 1.8 petrol Civic has done 150,000 miles and doesn’t have any issues with the car, although rear axel is now corroded, E10 petrol has knocked out fuel injectors so I only use premium E5 petrol, only wear and tear item was new clutch at 117k Miles These Civic’s are a great car only if they’re looked after
That looks good for an old car.
That plenum guard is made by Jules the Rover 75 Guru of Colwyn Bay
Yes it has his name on it :)
@@split_pin He's a great guy - saved me a fortune on my delicious 05 Rover 75 Contemporary Diesel
Thanks for the video, looks like I'll be doing this sometime soon 🤦
I'm glad you found it useful 😊
👍
this car is now parked outside my house lol
Very interesting good information there buddy I dont know i missed this video. 👍
Ah, so it’s normal for water to get down there? Somewhat relieving for me as that tends to suggest the bulkhead can cope with some water. It’s happened twice in the autumn. Presumably it did drain slowly. Will unblock it now.
Lovely

I like it looks a decent motor. I have never owned a Mercedes yet maybe one day. 👍
I was the same, I had never owned one so thought why not.
Great cars and starting to be appreciated now
Is it really important to disconnect the battery?
Yes absolutely.
