Sleep token marathon! I would encourage you guys to start from the beginning. The story is the hidden gem in this music. Loved it!

Greetings from the UK. Great reaction, guys. Subscribed. In quite a few older Sleep Token songs, Vessel does allude to a very toxic relationship, which seems to involve a lot of violence, self-harm, and even self-deletion attempts. That might explain the "blood stains on the collar, please, just don't ask." This could mean feeling ashamed or embarrassed, or it just happens so often that he doesn't wish to talk about it anymore. Take Me Back To Eden is the final album in a trilogy of albums that all describe different aspects of a toxic relationship. May I suggest you listen to their song Higher from their debut album, Sundowning? Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

I thought the diamonds/pentagrams were an allusion to nighttime (I have a theory night is a metaphor for success) since you only see stars (pentagrams) when the sun is down. It's almost a cartoonish, child-like way of how the sky would appear if you were looking up at night through trees. This could be him saying that their initial view of a life together was naive. They eventually outgrew this outlook and the relationship as they matured. Reality was no match for his (youthful) dreams or hope they could remain together.
