People who dwell in it completely have their minds blown by the levels and levels of depth. Not only are the lyrics artistic and deep, they have plenty of meanings. Add the musical genre-mixing genius on top and I can completely agree with you. This is a masterpiece that nobody has made and nobody will make again.

My favorite thing about Vessel is his patience. With the mood, the lyrics, the message. He makes you really listen a little harder to make sure you don't miss anything he has to say. But he takes his time with it and it makes me feral!

This song makes me think he's singing to someone toxic and he's had to become toxic to get away from them,to be something he doesn't want to be. My favorite line to interpret is " diamonds in the trees, pentagrams in the night sky" pentagrams are stars yes, but pentagrams are associated with hell. Like he's offering a beautiful hell he will put them through!

This is one of the best bands I think I will ever hear in my lifetime. The thanks I wish I could give to them. ❤️ their music yes, is very emotional. Start at the beginning and go to the end. It’s one emotional, wild ride. Also, a lot of these lyrical videos are wrong and I suggest using the lyrics from Genius. Dark signs is a really good one too 😊 I also remember someone mentioning to listen to all of these songs as if he’s singing in a mirror. Pretty incredible

This is the best break down of lyrics Ive heard. Such a heart wrenching story, that many of us have experienced.
He's describing her cocaine problem. Doing coke in a nightclub bathroom. One eye on the door and the other eye on the rail. Cutting it on the glass, blood stains on the collar means don't ask... she got a nose bleed from it. Take to the broken skies at last. She's flying high and this night's fucked up. He's going to leave her behind. She's going to have to watch him ascend, cause he can't do it with her no more. All three of these albums are a venture through their messed up relationship.

I have really enjoyed all your Sleep Token reactions. Subscribed. Sleep Token lyrics are very difficult to completely understand their true meaning. The lore behind the band has to be taken into account too. In the only interview Vessel (singer) has given, he stated that everything Sleep Token do is in worship of the deity Sleep, who visited Vessel in a dream and basically laid out the road map for Vessel to attain success. So with that in mind, to truly understand the lyrics, the following has to be worked out first. Is it:
1. Vessel singing to a partner in a toxic relationship.
2. Vessel singing to himself.
3. Vessel singing to the deity Sleep.
4. Deity Sleep singing to Vessel.
Having said all that, I must thank you, as you have given me another perspective to these lyrics that I had not considered! Great job. Stay safe 🤘 ✌️

It’s about our obsession with digital communication and how we’re being corrupted by it. How it’s separating us from ourselves. Diamonds in the trees pentagrams in the night sky. Cell phone towers and satellites flying over. Anyone else agree??

This song is about Vessel's music career. The part "you want the same as me" he is referring to the girl he was in a past musical project with. It seems he was in love with her. They both wanted success in music industry.....there is so much more than that. But I don't wanna give up details of who he is.

I really enjoyed your interpretation of this song, arguably it’s the deepest and most vulnerable of their catalogue and I truly think you’ve nailed the vast majority of the meaning behind the lyrics, you’ve really opened my eyes to some nuances I’ve missed previously. I’ve always thought that when he talks about his ‘perfect enemy’, that he’s describing himself, in the sense that traditionally speaking, one must try to defeat an enemy, but in doing so here, you destroy yourself in the process, and so you’re constantly in an internal battle and struggle with an undefeatable and invisible enemy. Neither can live while the other survives (hello Harry Potter). On the other hand, thinking more to your point, a perfect enemy may be someone you love and have a deep connection with, or you’re enmeshed with, where if you hurt them, you also hurt yourself in the process. A mirror, a reflection (as per the first verse). I wonder whether in the first verse he is speaking to someone else, in the way they don’t want him to grow, or change or be his own person etc, then by the end, he’s reached his emotional limit in the crescendo of the piece and directs his voice back to himself. He wants the same as his shadow now, to ascend, to leave the shackles of this (presumed) controlling relationship behind and break free and elevate. He owes it to himself to find his self respect that had been beaten out of him before. It’s therapy 101 of an enmeshed or codependent relationship; he’s been moulded by a partner to be the reflection of their ideal partner and in doing so lost all of his own qualities and ethics etc., ie become enmeshed and an extension of the other person. He couldn’t take it anymore and took the leap to self fulfilment, ascending above the chaos and toxicity. Truly amazing song

Have you ever listened to Tool? They are loosely considered prog metal and have complex music with crazy polyrhythms and some songs with pretty deep lyrics. 4 members in the band, been going since the 1990s. Three great songs by them with lyrics you should definitely have on hand when you listen are Right in Two, Vicarious, and The Grudge. I am a fairly new Sleep Token fan but have been a Tool fan for decades ha, they are in my top 5 of all time fave bands. (And at 61 I have listened to a LOT of music over the decades!) Just one bit of advice, skip the 'official' Tool music videos because they are very abstract and surreal and for new listeners can distract from the music/lyrics.

@@BTPGumzTV Well those songs I listed speak about maybe the darker side of human nature ha, and in a very powerful way, but they have some fantastic songs about spiritual awakening and evolution as well, there are 2 songs that go together (the first is basically the setup and intro to the second) called Parabol/Parabola and they really must go together to get the proper impact and meaning. Another song about our evolving spirit is Lateralus, and off their latest album from 2019 is the song Pneuma, which means breath or spirit. I hope you will check out some of their music! And no they are not Christian rock, ha, just talented guys with lots of metaphysical mojo going!

@@BTPGumzTV I also recommend Schism and Sober and The Pot by Tool, i think they're more well known, and Schism is one that is more radio friendly but they're fantastic songs that hit hard. Tool is an incredible band and all of the lead singers projects are completely worth checking out.

Not sure if this is how its ment. But at the beginning she takes what she wants and leaves. At the end he takes what he wants and leaves. How I interpret that is he held on to the pain from that relationship and it jaded him so much he dosen't want to be hurt again so in his next relationship he self sabotage it so he didnt get hurt again and took what he wanted and left that person.

I have been through some insanely toxic relationships, and I have been in a toxic relationship that has transformed into the most beautiful and healthy relationship I could imagine. It’s all about communication and being clear and concise. Love takes work, it’s not some magical cure, but I’ve been through enough of the pain and toxicity to know when it’s time to either leave or re-evaluate. Sleep token embodies that in almost every song.
