Well major operation and I am out after 5 day's glad my dad had fast healing skin other wise I would be still there in amongst the Corvid case's and mrsa, sweeping though the hospital my son who is a Advanced Clinical Nurse Practitioner is looking after me from London I am of course 250 miles up North, so video link and phone checking on my condition. Buttered sorry people no energy at all like a set f--- . But alive thank you for your support to me before I went in.Think I am a toy restoration watched now for at least 8 weeks. I just got round to watching this one, and you're right about manhandling the big castings: the forceps are barely strong enough and the castings themselves are thicker than the 'standard' car job! I have also got round to getting some colour on the Commer Ecurie Ecosse (no more!) Race Car Transporter, and needed to paint it in two stages. The underside and interior first, dry, varnish, then top surfaces, dry and varnish: the thing is just too unwieldy to paint it in one go. Stage three was the ramps and door, again in two parts with drying time between them. About five hours, so now they'll just cook themselves for a couple of days. Your Bedford and low loader turned out perfectly! I hope my Commer's the same! Almost touched cloth when the camera fell!
Thanks Fraser, yes the big ones are nice when thay are done ,but thay are a pain whilst you're doing them ,big and heavy ,glad you got the paint sorted 👍 All the best Martin
Great job Martin, this is the low loader I need to get next to put one of the priestman excavators on like yours. I like this type of Bedford too as I drove one many years ago when I worked for a haulage contractor. I laughed when you were trying to tie the string, I thought it was only me that had these problems lol, nothing worse than when it comes undone after all that effort! It turned out lovely in the end though, nice one!😊👍
Only just seen this one,Martin.that shovel never came with that cab unit,but the later TK cab,as Gift set 27.both the TK cabbed Machinery carrier and the shovel were also available as seperate items.
Thanks for letting me know, I wasn't shore at the time , but yes you are right my friend, iam hoping to get a TK version to go with the shovel witch is on the to do list,I have the parts I need for completion, just need the time now .
