I've recently got a new job at a university's restaurant. Originally, a worker I knew said temporary labor get to pick their hours, but I ended up with a schedule from eleven AM to six PM, Monday-Friday. See, I always preferred to take a weekday (and Sunday) off. That way it isn't five days straight; there's a break day in the middle. First day was all right, but in case I don't like the job and end up miserable here (same reason I left my last job), how inappropriate would it be for me to switch out of the job in, say, March or April?
If you are young you have to stay in that job. Bank loans and mortgages demand it and with the inflated cost of everything its really difficult to purchase any of these things right now. Essentially you are forced into this cycle because society demands it.

I asked my new department manager why and she said it was because no one else wanted me and that I should be thanking her for saving my job. I got fired a week or two later for not listening to her, and the day previous I had gotten upset, along with arguing with customers, and so store owner himself told me to leave.

Right on !❤❤❤
Roberts “ya” was profound.
Very hard to do when you only have one manager at your job that is controlling ASF and expects you to stay forever on a minimum wage pathetic overworked and heavily underpaid job, sometimes best just to cut your losses and move on to better things.
Yep ..exactly. my boss has now made earning a graduate degree a bad thing ..and a cause to make up a reason to show me the door..
Sounds like they feel threaten. When the Devil invites you to leave. Accept the offer. Head towards the light. God bless you. Keep it moving you got this.
@@lilliandagostino9048 the section I was working in got sold to another company / downsized 1 month later .. after all this. Assuming this boss knew this would happen ?? Not sure, but Glad I left either way.
I have yet to find a place to thrive in my field of study and interest. I thought my last job was it. Unfortunately not. It certainly doesn't help when people are ignorant.
I quit my job today, I was gonna work my 2 weeks but after I told them I couldn’t finish the impossible route they have me running without working through my breaks and lunch I asked for help,( I knew other workers were already done) they declined to offer me the help which I usually get but today they said no! They then said I could work over time and I’d have to burn it later this week by clocking in late and staying the same hours so my 2 week notice became a 10 hour notice 😂 didn’t wanna be a garbage man but I needed a job, trash job and trash people I’m so happy to already have a better job lined up and waiting on me
I was happier unemployed.
This applies to marriage too.
Always walk away from a hostile work environment. I made the mistake of taking high paying jobs that turned out to be hostile work environments, not worth it.
My thing is i cant stay at one job for a long time unless i absolutely love it. Which is unlikely based on all my previous jobs of just being sick and tirec of being sick and tired. For me its better to change jobs every 6 months. Its like after a job for more than a year it starts to mess with your mental. Its always good in the beginning
My gymnastics gym is currently going through this.
I'm currently somewhere in between but leaning a bit on the toxic side. Sure most of my co workers are nice and decent, I'm doing a job that I like, and it is near from where I reside. But the pay and benefits are horrid and career growth is almost non-existent.
I cant wait to quit my job. I feel like i am having anxiety attack and i am crying everyday. My boss micro manages whatever i do and never say good job when i do something good 😢
I was top 2% of North America at Amazon Stowing, ripped my elbow tendon busting my ass (prime week) came back a year later off workers comp and couldn’t do my job, they out me on leave with no accommodations even though I submitted everything from health care providers, and they had jobs for disabled people. They just didn’t want me there even though I was the best worker there before my injury 🎉
Filed discrimination charges with EEOC, probably won’t amount to much but at least I tried to stand up for myself 🎉
Yeah...he gets it🎉🎉🎉
A job i had got a new boss in. She couldnt find a file so i go grab it from the cabinet. "Where did you get this" me: the cabinet. Her "no you didnt i looked there!" I wont be accused of being a liar. I quit that night
This is all i needed to hear
Toxicity is everywhere.
terima kasih😊😊
Shit… I’m around the most toxic people and not having an education- though in school for part time electives… I need a new North Star… and this toxic workplace I’m in… has my soul, has been chewing on my soul… what moves can I make? Can someone help?
Never had a chance to leave my job. Always got laid off.
The people at my former small startup were actually pretty nice, but none of the first 3 things he said applied, so I chose to leave
How long does is talk to discover toxic people? I’ve struggled with this I’m some instances. What should I be looking for exactly: output, communication, performance, team engagement… all of it?
Research “narcissistic coworkers” “narcissistic boss” “covert narcissist” “narcissistic abuse”…. Watch a bunch if videos on that, it’ll help u identify it
It’s that second one. 😂
Or get assertive and make them wish to move
Yes exactly toic enviroment is affeting my health
I’m quitting tomorrow.
I've had alot of jobs
It's either shit pay or toxic or both
Good advice
You give notice don’t leave abruptly.
No bad boss is worth losing a positive reference to v “get back at them and their company”
What if Im unable to thrive in my current job?
Should I quit it?
What did you do?
I have a toxic manager I'm trying to leave 🧡
I hope you left
Only you know if you have a potential for growth somewhere else... or
Change your career,job.
I pretty much am
This happened to me at my job
I Can't Even Get A Job, My Life Is Beyond Fucked!!😂
My previous job never helped me with anything but a paycheck in my pocket. They just continued to cut my hours and never told me why. Then about a half a year into my job there, they had me move departments. I asked my new department manager why and she said it was because no one else wanted me and that I should be thanking her for saving my job. I got fired a week or two later for not listening to her, and the day previous I had gotten upset, along with arguing with customers, and so store owner himself told me to leave.
Count Dokou?
Now everywhere is toxic.
Trouble is Jordan, 99% of employers ARE toxic already mate. It's like trying to find a diamond in an empty mine
Now? I didn’t come to Kansas to be abused that’s for sure.
I’ve been told I have enough money to retire now if I believe some of the videos. Not fornicating my way out Sterling. I don’t know what the objective might be. I wish I knew.
Damn sounds like people need unions
I'm a lawyer and I joined a union because the government and companies are not there for you. They break the law constantly. Yesterday another law firm did on interview with me and they asked me if I want children. That is an illegal question but they don't give a shit.
No more producers at the start?
I think that's my story
after 27 years sacrifice they dumped me like dogshit
I don’t have a job with expectations. I just have a cellphone and I watch TH-cam videos and that’s my only human contact. Other than people being hateful pretending to be my gay lover. Since I’m not gay, that’s bad. I have no clear job, job description or any clear expectations, just some people asking me for sex. Help!!!
God where is this magical land?
Doesn’t exist lol
Find a place where you can thrive?? Lmao that’s a utopian boomer fantasy for sure
NO JUST A SIMPLE NO
