hey peter, can we get another "drawing your feelings: a calm guide"? i loved just getting some post it notes and scribbling away while listening to you.
@@-dfh-866 it didnt get me into asmr. but it makes me so much more sleepier than any other asmr videos. its just so, uhm, unintentional? which makes it so great.
Peter, when I watch your videos, I feel like I'm listening to a friend that cares about me. You don't know me, and I don't REALLY know you, but I somehow feel that you care about my well-being, and you actively try to improve it with every video. You owe me nothing, yet you give me everything you have to offer. I appreciate you, Peter.
Hi Just for the sake of sharing my opinion, I’m about to tell you what I think. Peter draws is at the pinnacle of humanity and lifelessness, the way this works is because he has a grasp of the concept of nothingness, proven by his drawings, as well as a grasp of life, proven by his commentary. His videos are truly submersive and impactful, hope he continues to do what he wants.
For 99% of the time I don’t even watch what you’re drawing, I just listen to you talk about random things while I draw soemthing with my glass dip pen :) your videos are cool
I was inspired to start drawing again by my niece’s 10 year old daughter who is drawing quite well. You have inspired me to calm down, slow down and draw while I listen to, and watch your fantastic videos. Your art is amazing! I would love more videos similar to this one. And since I’ve been drawing in the evenings while listening to your videos, I’ve been sleeping so much better! Thank you Peter.
Been watching your videos for god knows how long and honestly, your videos are so therapeutic and calming most of the time but yet quirky too. Keep it up, mate! Always excited to see your videos!
Thank you Peter for these "types" of video's. Your voice is calming and your thought's are gentle. I'm the opposite in that my thoughts are hyperactive and all over the place so listening to you is like going on holiday for me. Thank you for that.
these are my favorite, and you put it up on my birthday, thanks Peter! i'm a cellist and i played in a couple pit orchestras in college, it's super fun. i love the way you describe the conductor as a medium between the world above and world below the stage, that's perfect. the conductor gives cues to both the orchestra and the actors at different times, they'll use several different things as cues such as dialog lines, body gestures, pauses, and parts of the music. i'm so glad you got to enjoy hamilton in person!
I love all of your videos, but these ones are some of my absolute favorites. They motivate me to draw and it feels like I’m hanging out with a friend. I don’t really have art friends, so I appreciate that you make a video like this every once in a while. 💛
i just want to say Thank You...i started watching your videos a long time ago and absorbing some techniques. It has vastly improved my work over the years.
You know, when I was in junior high and high school (back in the covered wagon days, well, in the 70s anyway lol) we used to doodle like this on our homemade book covers. Hippie flowers, big fat letters, stupid thoughts like who we had a crush on. Ahh, the good ole days!
I like this sketch. There are many inspirations within it. I love you "just make art" without worrying about it saying anything specific. It's so freeing.
Hullo Peter, I have been in similar situations in "FineArt" settings, museums or gallery openings and I just did not like the artworks presented! Not everything must appeal to everyone. I like that you reinforced the positive aspect that it is OK not to like something just because it is in a museum or presented as "real Art" on someones wall. Thanks Peter and Please just keep being yourself and finding your way in this wide world and sharing your experiences with us.
I would love a hoodie with the front saying “so there.” and the back just a huge script of Peter rambling about how peoples opinions on art isn’t important
Hey Peter! Today’s been pretty good. I’m working on bringing a video game club to my high school. It will take a very persuasive slideshow, and if I succeed this will be an incredible feat for future generations and the school’s educational focus. Wish me luck
What a wonderful video. You echoed some of the things I am currently working on in therapy. I really understand the two sides of wanting to slow down but also wanting to have something fullfilling and all consuming. For right now I need to slow down though. I ended up drawing alongside you, with my art progressing very differently. I would love more of these types of videos ♥
It's strange, the more I listen to Peter the more I feel calm and I really love his views on art and practicing your art. How you have to let everything go and just make things that you love. But at the same time, the more I look at his art the more I feel like shit. Bless / Damn you, Peter !
So have you never watched a play through of subnautica? You will thank yourself for playing it through. Heck, if you streamed it I would watch you play. The story is very good. Hope no one spoils it for you.❤
love your videos! always put them on when drawing it’s like a very relaxing podcast that says the best things to help when i get discouraged from drawing
I've been drawing those stencil-style portrait sketches ( You know the kind where it's mostly shadow :) ) and just enjoying the satisfaction of pools of ink just filling up the shadows. Not the intricate doodles I usually do. Just enjoying the process and not thinking of the result at all. Very therapeutic.
I've been struggling with sitting down and drawing lately. Not sure what I'm avoiding, but I'm avoiding something. So I just turned on this video and I'm going to draw for the whole duration of it. Thank you.
Love this piece. I was seeing mycelia pretty early, so I really enjoyed when you revealed those mushroom shapes up top later on. Also, if I unfocus my eyes, I vaguely see an anatomical heart
Subnautica is a beautiful game, but yeah, it's also terrifying at times. I too reach a point where I have to "nope" out because I start getting genuine anxiety from it. Thank you for your videos, & your art. I enjoy the peek into your mind's machinations.
It's weird I see myself in you , little mannerisms and such. I feel like you contemplate a lot. Lol I know I do. I love your videos, I love your art, You make my day when I can watch you draw.
Hello. Your vid came up and i watched. You're so laid back and relaxing to watch and listen to. I did fall asleep for a while but woke up to see the finished drawing. I love your voice. Reminds me of a cartoon character. Cant remember who, but you could get work doing that if u ever felt like it i'm sure.
I'm trying to think of what I would splurge $400 on. Probably one of those colorful Sailor Pro Gear fountain pen special editions. Or maybe an incredibly fancy complicated Chinese dinner.
Exactly...I need to stop thinking so much with my ideas, and just draw them, and sometimes I overthink to where I don't know what to put down, and then I get art block.
Re-watching this after a couple of years, i didn't realise i commented 2 years ago, but i was about to write exactly the same thing again and it popped up!
i have a game to recommend that i think youll enjoy! its called spiritfarer; you play as guide to help ghosts move on into the afterlife. its half a management game, where you run a boat with lots of buildings on it for crafting and your passengers, but its got a lot of scavenging from different islands and events as well! plus its got no inventory limit! its a bit sad, but in my opinion its insanely enjoyable! its last update just came out a few days ago, so nows the perfect time to get into it if you want!
this is excellent. Could you possibly read one of the classics, such as Treasure Island or Bleak House, whilst you draw? This would be educational on many levels.
no chance you see this now, but I also play subnautica peter! it’s such a fun game, I finished the main story this weekend and have already started playing the sequel. I love your drawing sooo much as well
Peter - two things. First, I love these real time videos. Definitely do more of them as they’re a huge inspiration for me. Second, speaking of games……have you played any recent Minecraft now that they added the HUGE Cliffs and Caves update? My daughter and I watch your Minecraft channel and we think you’ll be blown away at how better the game is now that they have unbelievably deep caves. And they’re all over the place! Give it a shot and check it out. God bless from over here in Northern California!
I haven’t played subnautica but it seems interesting. I have a hard time getting myself to relax long enough to play games though. I have the same problem with drawing like I can’t switch gears. Jasper Johns art is bland to me. I haven’t been to New York but I haven’t done a lot of traveling in general. Once I have enough money saved up I want to go to Japan. For big art you got me imagining a blank room with 3d printed black lines connected from wall to wall and ceiling to floor like a 3 dimensional drawing and to really look at it you’d have to go inside the drawing.
hey peter, can we get another "drawing your feelings: a calm guide"? i loved just getting some post it notes and scribbling away while listening to you.
Yeah same, really enjoyed that stuff
Me too
It's crazy I still see ppl ask for this. I asked for more of those too. Those were the first videos I watched that got me into ASMR.
@@-dfh-866 it didnt get me into asmr. but it makes me so much more sleepier than any other asmr videos. its just so, uhm, unintentional? which makes it so great.
Yeah
Peter, when I watch your videos, I feel like I'm listening to a friend that cares about me. Exactly this. Well said!
Let’s start with a perfect circle, “the sponsor today is Square Space”
... and draws a potato 😆👍
YES! This is so theraputic. Thanks for slowing me down .
Hi
Just for the sake of sharing my opinion, I’m about to tell you what I think.
Peter draws is at the pinnacle of humanity and lifelessness, the way this works is because he has a grasp of the concept of nothingness, proven by his drawings, as well as a grasp of life, proven by his commentary.
His videos are truly submersive and impactful, hope he continues to do what he wants.
❤️
Lifelessnesses? Nothingness? I feel the exact opposite. Peter’s drawings are so spontaneously organic. They bustle with life and substance.
I love the word "subversive"
I also enjoy the words "instigate" and "embedded"
Oh! also "insurgency" is a good one.
@@Vigilant_Patriot_Media_LSA ooo typo
Meant to say submersive but apparently that word doesn’t exist
Edit: there, all fixed
For 99% of the time I don’t even watch what you’re drawing, I just listen to you talk about random things while I draw soemthing with my glass dip pen :) your videos are cool

Your videos help me relax. Thanks for all of your therapeutic lines, keep it up!
Thank you Peter for these "types" of video's. Your voice is calming and your thought's are gentle. I'm the opposite in that my thoughts are hyperactive and all over the place so listening to you is like going on holiday for me. Thank you for that.
That intro was the best one TH-cam, rolled into the ad with “let’s start with a circle” and draws a mercle
these are my favorite, and you put it up on my birthday, thanks Peter!

Good self reflection and “emotional course correction” many wounded artists can likely appreciate and adopt
i just want to say Thank You...i started watching your videos a long time ago and absorbing some techniques. It has vastly improved my work over the years.

I've sat here listening to you, drawing whatever along with you. You're a good company. Thanks
You provide me with a zen atmosphere, brother. Thank you for doing what you do.
I like this sketch. There are many inspirations within it. I love you "just make art" without worrying about it saying anything specific. It's so freeing.
I am so with you on this. So timely for me Peter, thank you❤️
Needed this talk today man. Thanks man.

love the live draws!!! Peter is a very FUNGI! kinda got a mushroom vide going, very cool. Thanks for the hour hangout Peter.
I love the drawing. Reminds me of hiking in the woods.
So good to have the real-time drawings. It's like meditation.
Wow Amazing Artist Sir 👌👌❤️
I would love a hoodie with the front saying “so there.” and the back just a huge script of Peter rambling about how peoples opinions on art isn’t important
i really love when you do those great organic shapes. the fungal feel of this one i enjoyed quite a bit.
So much Ben Ross vibes and I love it, your therapeutic
I love to listen your stories while you work…amazing artwork every-time 👍
This really helped me overcome anxiety and artblock all in one, thank you so much! Your videos are golden 💖
Thank you for the hour show. I surely needed my dose of Peter Draws today.
U super inspire me I love the way you doodle and teaching I've been doodling so much and getting my art block a little better thanks so much.
This is my favourite podcast :)
This was so relaxing and enjoyable. I really like these real time drawing videos!
your vids really help me. In a weird way it calms me down. I love everything about your videos. Thanks dude.
Peter I love this type of videos. Keep it going, please. Thank you.
I would cry over your drawings !!
I hope real time videos are easier for you to make because these are my absolute favorite
Looks like an upside down tree or mushroom to me! Nice doodle my friend!
I needed this today. Thanks!
I revisit your drawing your emotions video a lot and, dude! What a glow up! You look so different and healthy now! Love to see it.
I love this kind of videos. I'm a realy big fan of this channel. Keep it up👍

I wanted to help Peter slow down so I watched it on 1/2 speed. 😎
🤣
Clever.
Love the vids man! Been watching for like a decade.
Gotta love the precise v7’s babyyyyyyyy
Pls do more videos like that, cool
I've been struggling with sitting down and drawing lately. Not sure what I'm avoiding, but I'm avoiding something. So I just turned on this video and I'm going to draw for the whole duration of it. Thank you.
I love your drawings!❤ Keep it up!💪🏽
This is very reminiscent of the days of Twitch. Much enjoyed. Have a great day.
sadly i missed out on the Twitch days but these real-time drawing vids are great
Love this piece. I was seeing mycelia pretty early, so I really enjoyed when you revealed those mushroom shapes up top later on.
Also, if I unfocus my eyes, I vaguely see an anatomical heart
Aaahh! Man you're still at it, how cool is that!
I see a mushroom heart... thanks for sharing
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR IT FOR SO LONG
Subnautica is a beautiful game, but yeah, it's also terrifying at times. I too reach a point where I have to "nope" out because I start getting genuine anxiety from it.

amazin work!!!
hello new viewer here saw this video all the way thru - i have to say you are a cool story teller & seem like a good example of multitasking
saw some of your hot dog cooking as well as the viewer drawings critique
It's weird I see myself in you , little mannerisms and such.
I feel like you contemplate a lot. Lol I know I do.
I love your videos, I love your art, You make my day when I can watch you draw.
As I read that back and this statement it's all i. I. I. I
feeling awkward now

Yeaaa more Peter!

Amazing 🔥
Perfectionism does not exist!!!
Subnautica is one of my all time favourites, a must play for anyone who likes crafting/survival games
The drawing looks like the shell of a reefback leviathan! (subnautica)
I'm trying to think of what I would splurge $400 on. Probably one of those colorful Sailor Pro Gear fountain pen special editions. Or maybe an incredibly fancy complicated Chinese dinner.
Happy Christmas Peter 🎄
Exactly...I need to stop thinking so much with my ideas, and just draw them, and sometimes I overthink to where I don't know what to put down, and then I get art block.
Merry Christmas

Try using an eraser on sticker glue residue. That plus some finger rubbing will clear it off.
