As someone with severe anxiety and panic attacks latley, these videos and Peters voice has almost literally saved my life. Thanks Peter. Im so serious. Im not doing to well but your videos just help so much.

Complacency and contemplation are one in the same behind our eyelids but which holds sovereignty.
@@human.skyscraper Unless you subscribe to stoicism or Taoism, then contemplation (when properly balanced with action) is the first step towards release. But if your premise is to be accepted and they are "one in the same", they either both reign sovereign or neither reign sovereign.
AC1D PSYCHOS1S I disagree contemplation is necessary and the first step in almost anything great that has ever been created or imagined.

theres noone else who i enjoy listening to as much as you while im drawing. It feels like were in the same room and just doodling together talking about the world and life itself, i can just forget about everything thats stressful to me. i really treasure that feeling. much love from germany :)

Thank you Peter :) I'm just lying in bed, enjoying the calm you send out as you draw. My husband is next to me, playing videogames, and sometimes looks over and asks what it turned into.. I don't draw, but I've been re-upholstering my grandfather's armchair, and I've been working in the garden a lot, making a tunnel out of blackberry vines. When you are willing to put in the work, you get magic in return, and that is peaceful :) We'll all be ok, everything will work out.. hugs from Italy..

I love my vinyl.. still have all of my collection from the 70's onwards. all played my cyrus system and bowes and wilkins speakers set up.when I don't want to annoy the neighbours I plug in my grado labs head phones . canny beat vinyl :)
You are a lovely Lad Peter, Everyone feels pressured at times ,but remember your never alone love..It’s amazing how when you get older and look back and see how you have changed..I am calmer and rarely loose my temper now..but I live alone all my kids are grown with their own kids ..My youngest is a few years older than you..Just stay nice and kind as you are and you will be fine.Love the drawing today ,looking forward to the next one..Stay safe love 😀❤️
it's funny cause right when he asked us what we were making I realized I was 80% finished making a mail organizer out of cardboard and masking tape for myself and my two roommates. Does it look junky? Absolutely, but we N E E D a place to put the mail. It's everywhere!
Draw a smiley face on it, it makes every "ugly" thing look better. Or just draw something on it, doesn't matter what, as long as you put a bit of love in it, it'll work.
Cleaned my room while listening. The fun part mostly- organizing trinkets and such. Snagged a look every few minutes. I like seeing the progression periodically as I work

I love all the textures and the intricacy. Sometimes it reminds me of engraved prints. I wish Peter would do a video designing his own currency, the Petorian Dollar.
I follow this ant scientist on Twitter who posts these cool magnified ant photos, and sometimes he posts pics of ants who died of fungus.. well it looks a lot like this drawing :)

This is one of my „main“ videos to listen to, while I draw along with you.
A good tip for balancing a design is to turn it over and look at it upside down. It help to change the look.
Also, look at it in a mirror.
Wasn't expecting some Townes van Zandt at the beginning. One of my favorite musicians. Good stuff.
EDIT: If you haven't heard his live album, "Live at the Old Quarter, Houston, Texas," it's outstanding. Highly recommend it. And then there's a video on TH-cam, "Private Concert," I think it's called, that is really great.

Howdy Peter! i started watching your stuff about 3 years ago when i was in college and depersonalizing a lot during the summer where i didnt have a roommate, and you were quite inspiring for me. your soothing voice and beautiful doodles pushed me to doodle more myself. ive been in quite the depression off and on since then, and stopped watching your videos after a while cause i hyperfocused on something else i guess. over the last 6 months or so it has been very hard to get my self to do anything creative, especially this last month of pandemic, very sad and lonely. but last week i refound your channel! and you make trying to do art seem a lot less overwhelming. just gotta put marks on the paper and play with it. i played with water colors since then, and practiced drawing some humanoid forms, and now im just watching your video, and playing with doodling again, even trying out a little bit of stippling. thank you so much Peter, you are a very inspiring soul. a good creative doodle companion in these trying times. i appreciate you greatly c:

Working on a couple of bird (surprise) heads -- one is happy, one is sad -- and their bodies are brains. Working in pencil and just shading the crap out of all the nooks and crannies of the brainy bits.

when i saw this vid was almost an hour, i pulled out a game i like right now, and passively messed with it while your video played. I also watched you video at times... maybe about 40% has been seen, and 89% has been heard now that I've reached the end. I also let all the ads run of course. ;) I like when people are authentic and always gravitate to youtubers of this sort. Thank you for being authentic Peter... eccentric, and very authentic.

I can't go home, as its a plane ride away, so I'm very alone far from anyone I know and have fallen back into a depression that I've been fighting with for my entire life. You have, time and time again helped me through hard times with your streams and now you are again. so thank you.

Not quilting, but I have crocheted many times watching your videos :) My old habit for several years was to do some abstract ink paintings while watching you, or watercolor, and drink tea really early in the morning. Those were some good times.
