Yes there still many points & games to be played, but Liverpool mean business under Slot at minute that most clubs wouldn't want to play against either home or away and Liverpool have already played against some of top sides in this league so far.
Your own comment explains why you can't write anyone out right now. We've only played 11 games. As an Arsenal fan, I'll admit it's looking hard for us and liverpool have done well to be in the position they're in. However there is still plenty to play for. Come next month Arsenal could win all their games and Liverpool lose to City which then puts all 3 teams 6 points within each other. If the table looks like it does now in April, I would firmly say Arsenal are out and it's Liverpools to lose.
@@jgunner94and Liverpool have played 6 of the 10 below them, so what? Arsenal need to get back to playing the quick expansive football they played two years ago. Well if Liverpool lose and arsenal win then the gap is 6 points. If Liverpool win and arsenal lose the gap is 12 points. Doesn’t take Einstein to figure that one out pal
It's not the 9-point gap, it's the fact it only took 11 games for Arsenal to fall 9 points behind. Chelsea have only lost to the top two so, on current form, Arsenal should be worried about finishing above Chelsea, nevermind City and Liverpool.
Arsenal have played Liverpool, and Brighton at home, and Aston Villa, Man City, Newcastle, Chelsea Away and only lost to Newcastle, we have had an absolute shocker for the start of the season in terms of who we’ve had to play, whereas Liverpool are only just starting to play teams in the top 6 now…..

When Liverpool went to the Emirates he literally said if Arsenal lose nd are 7 points being LFC its goodbye... which didn't happen now they are 9 points nd some way he thinks they can close the gap its wild 😂
Talk about injuries when Arteta has spent 600mil on this squad, absolute rubbish, compared to what Liverpool have spent as an example is I’m guessing half that and Slot has spent next to nothing and even without Allison who we all know is probably one of the worlds best keepers are still managing to get results but yet so called footie pundits won’t give Slot or his team dues or praise
Liverpool have Southampton straight after the international and then mancity on the 1st December . so its not immediately after the international break which is paul merson said . Merson talks absolute most of the time

Liverpool went toe to toe with city and arsenal until mid April last season with 11 players injured, 4 players suspended at the start of the campaign with red cards, we won a trophy with kids and yet they have a few injuries and one suspension and moan.. 😂

We have players who are humble and have values and high moral character Can't wait til we win the league so we can all laugh at sky sports and talk sport

When Liverpool was defending the title and had Virgil, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Konate, Matip, Gomez out. Before all these injuries they were top in November. After all these injuries they barely made top 4. Yet all the pundits kept saying not an excuse and get on with it. The double standards are pathetic.

This ridiculous narrative about Arsenal's injury-crisis needs to stop. Odegaard is the only longish-term injury they've had this year. Saliba missed a match through suspension, Gabriel missed a half of football. Califiori is well covered with TImber, another expensive signing.
The players liverpool are missing: Allison, Jota, Cheisa and Elliot... yet people acting like they have the leg up on city and Arsenal who are struggling with injuries. How many did Liverpool have out last season in compasion? I rest my case.😊
Liverpool have been great, Arsenal & City have been really poor by their standards & there's still only 9 & 5 points in it respectively. Fine margins & with 27 games to go, there's is more than enough time to turn that around. Liverpool will have a blip at some point too as their run to Xmas is harder than the other two imo, but I hope Slot does it in his first season. Either way, they're all still in it & there's everything to play for.

@jgunner94 Disingenuous is you believing that your club's injury issues are more crucial than other club's injury concerns.
Yeah, the kid Van Dijk who scored in the Carabao cup final. Chelsea's average age for the squad was much lesser than Liverpools so stop this kids non sense.
@@onochieosaji9427 We add up the changes and injuries and make up our mind and see how they stack up to other teams, that’s not disingenuous. How can Arsenal not have more of a disturbance when they’ve had Odegaard, Merino out for longer periods. Timber, White, Calafiori missing multiple games and that’s 2 areas of the back 4. Saliba, Gabriel also not playing against Liverpool where the back 4 was fully changed by the end of the game.
@jgunner94 but, but, but Assnal have a better squad - was the chant by most Assnal fans. So you lot think it's convenient to shift the goal post whenever you like?! BTW LFC had Jota (who scores against Assnal for fun) and Alisson out with injuries against you lot. So crying about missing supposed important players when other teams are also equally missing important players should fall on deaf ears and not be used as an excuse for Assnal, as it wasn't used as an excuse for LFC last season.
If Liverpool were in Arsenal shoes at moment these pundits would say Liverpool are now out of the title race. So why does Arsenal still have chance for being 9 points behind after 11 games played so far.
@@anish87 Who's playing the best out of City, Liverpool & Arsenal and this is all round attacking, defending all of it
Arsenal have played 7 out of the top 10 which is a nightmare start for them, that’s partly why they’re not being written off and it’s early.
@@jgunner94and Liverpool have played 6 of the 10 below them, so what? Arsenal need to get back to playing the quick expansive football they played two years ago. It’s as if Arteta has said to the players ‘right, let’s be mean, let’s be nasty to play against, let’s go back to the ‘1-0 to the Arsenal’ days, dark arts, time wasting, players going down to slow the game when we’re ahead’ rather than just playing the brilliant football of a couple of seasons ago! It’s just so strange!
@@justsamgosney1unfortunately that style leaked goals, Arsenals peak was definitely last season, however I would say like Man City, this is a good look for Arsenal to be chasing now rather than falling apart, last two games have looked solid in all honesty, it’s just this December needs to be special to give us a fighting chance, Liverpool have been lucky in certain situations let’s not forget that, Arsenal dominated them in our fixture when we were out of form, if Man City pick up form they’ll do the same to Liverpool, don’t get ahead of yourself
Potters face as he was trying to figure out Merson's whole 6 before 12 roundabout, was priceless 😂
Well if Liverpool lose and arsenal win then the gap is 6 points. If Liverpool win and arsenal lose the gap is 12 points. Doesn’t take Einstein to figure that one out pal
@@freddieherdman3882still a load of tosh
A lot of wishful talking 😂😂😂
If Arne Slot wins the title in his first season that surely has to go down as one of the greatest managerial feats in EPL history.
At least 4 other managers have done that and it won't be as impressive as Conte taking Chelsea from 10th to title winners
@@Preminger442 it would definitely be close
@@Preminger442Same chelsea who won the prem in 2015. Yeah so impressive lol
@@Preminger442 conte like other chelsea managers had an open chequebook. Slot hasnt spent at all
Don't worry PGMOL and Howard webb of lies will see to it that he doesn't!
@@shyman2012pure stupidity this comment is
@shyman2012 So Arsenal losing away to Bournemouth doesn't count?
Hopium and copium epidemic in North London.
@ of course it counts, I was talking about the top half teams, from the start of this season we’ve had a shocker in terms of the teams we’ve faced so early, we ain’t playing great right now, but we’ve played everyone who’s currently in the top 6 except forest and most of the top 10 already, most of them being away from home as well, we are not doing too badly…..
We've played 5 of last years top 8 away from home let that sink in
When Liverpool went to the Emirates he literally said if Arsenal lose nd are 7 points being LFC its goodbye... which didn't happen now they are 9 points nd some way he thinks they can close the gap its wild 😂
He spews whatever nonsense enters his head. You can see why he had multiple addictions, as he has no impulse control.
Why is no one talking about how good Forrest are doing at moment?
Talk about injuries when Arteta has spent 600mil on this squad, absolute rubbish, compared to what Liverpool have spent as an example is I’m guessing half that and Slot has spent next to nothing and even without Allison who we all know is probably one of the worlds best keepers are still managing to get results but yet so called footie pundits won’t give Slot or his team dues or praise
Why do Sky insist on still employing such a useless pundit in Merson?
No need to be so harsh.
Rather him than some woman. At least he’s won titles for Arsenal, played in a WC.
@@Sillygoooose624 Ok incel calm down.
Merson said Arsenal are closer to City than 2 seasons ago?? 😂 lmfao

I mean is that not true?
Liverpool have Southampton straight after the international and then mancity on the 1st December . so its not immediately after the international break which is paul merson said . Merson talks absolute most of the time
So pretty much just after the break then isn't it? 😂😂😂
You're being pedantic. There's plenty to criticise Merson for if you want to, but the second game back after the international break qualifies as 'immediately after'.
@@QuentinMajor no. It really doesn't. Southampton is "immediately" after the international break. City is *after* the international break.
In a few seasons Chelsea will hit their stride, probably win the EPL or UCL and Arsenal will still be doing the very same things
Liverpool went toe to toe with city and arsenal until mid April last season with 11 players injured, 4 players suspended at the start of the campaign with red cards, we won a trophy with kids and yet they have a few injuries and one suspension and moan.. 😂
We’ve had 12 players injured and 3 suspension 😅😂 after 11 games. Your numbers are off 😂

The race is too early to call, 11 out of 38 games, 28% gone, too early.
Exactly
OK Statman Dave
@StuartRead-q5w 😂😂😂
You never fail to surprise us!
Liverpool had easy fixtures so way too early
Merson needs to realise Arsenal has made multiple mistakes already Liverpool has made one not 5
Is that in response to his mistake comment? He means Liverpool can afford to have some mistakes as they have more a cushion.
It's always what everyone else is doing wrong and not what liverpool are doing right
Accept it liverpool have been the most consistent club over the last decade besides man city
People forget we have 3 ucl finals 1 Europa league final and we are the only ones who truly pushed mancity when they were at their peak FULL JUGGERNAUT SQUAD WITH PRIME PLAYERS
Haters.. bottom line for some reason liverpool is underrated it's because the media doesn't like the fact that we had 2 African Muslim players who were the best wingers in the league 1 of which is going to go down as the best ever attacker in premier league history.
We have players who are humble and have values and high moral character
Can't wait til we win the league so we can all laugh at sky sports and talk sport
The mood here is fire!
Merson said all the recruitment under Edu and Arteta has been great, I guess he forgot about Pepe 😅
Raul Sanllehi was investigated over that deal.
@jgunner94 Yes, it was more or less like a scandal.
Neto has the ability to produce something on his own ...i dont think none of the other attackers in this Chelsea team got his ability.
Klopp went into a Carabao Cup final without 6/7 of his first team/best subs last season and still won. Elite managers take what they have and try and find a way
Liverpool have a mistake in them because they're so far ahead of everyone else?
He means can afford a mistake
anytime i see this merson character pop up, he always has the wildest takes.
3 days ago he said "9 points is an absolute mountain" yet today the mountain is now 12 points.
With Odegaard back and the international break, we should fix the offence tactics.
Graham Potter is a very good pundit. Graham, please enjoy your life and become a star.
“Everybody has been a success”
There’s literally been about 30 flops
Another 10 points and Liverpool should be safe from relegation.
Did Potter really say this is the first time we’ve had injuries? Last season was the first in years I can remember us being lucky with injuries.. this is back to normal!
Merse hates Liverpool he always writes them off
Merse is right Raya hasnt made any world class save since Villa and Atalanta. In my opinion if Arsenal had patience in Ramsdale he would have won them the league last season.
Am I the only one wondering where the game highlights are?
If you guys are saying Arsenal are in the title race then Chelsea surely have to be in there too. They’ve played United, Arsenal, Liverpool, city and are 3rd
Where's the Gary Neville podcast? Is it because his voice went or does he not want to talk now that Liverpool have a gap at the top?? Dishonest
Don't write Manchester City off yet
nobody is writing them off
I am, they are not the same
I can easily write arsenal out than Man City because of their squad and that their mad run of winning gmes
I've been saying this for a few years, Arsenal have been so lucky with injuries. Imagine if they had the injuries Liverpool had in the past few years.
What a waste of 10 minutes of my life. Is Merson really the best you can do?
Edu knew the arsenal DNA and thats why he was successful, give it to walcott, ozil, squillaci, these guys are all qualified and any one of them know the club
Merson & Redknapp talk crap. Both haven't even managed any club. At least Potter have managed in EPL so he is the only one talking sense.
These guys weren't this considerate when Ten Hag had three times the amount of injuries last season that Arsenal or City have had this season.
Potter absolutely waffles and doesn’t answer questions directly
Unbelievable Merson has made a post football career out of talking when he is incapable.of making sense.
Arsenal aren't a 'big team'.
No London club is a 'big team'
You've got a couple of titles between the lot of you. Calm down.
World class punditry from Merse here… the gap being 12 points is harder than a gap of 6 points?! Would never have known, thankyou Paul
Listen to the nuances. He means the margin has to get to 6 points before 12 otherwise Arsenal are out of it. Catching up a 12 point lead I don’t think has been done.
On a serious note, Merson was/ Is that bad, I would read his Sky Sports column, to see who he was predicting would win that weekend. And, be confident it would be the other team.
"They played really well but didn't look like they'd scored" Merson logic.
How can Merson say ‘everyone on that list is a success’? A lot of the players they’ve brought in have failed badly. Zinchenko, Jesus, Tierney, Mari, Luiz, Willian, Runarsson, Viera, Lokonga. Ridiculous how it doesn’t get spoken about but every man united flop does
“Ermmmm, actually, Arsenal will win the league as they have a 89.7827282828278% according to reliable AI technology🤓“
AND THE VIEWERS TURNED THE TV OFF🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Merson changes his mind every week. Must be great to be a pundit.
How the hell does merson get to share his thoughts or lack of them on tv
Great insight I absolutely loved these guys talking. Makes sense too just you need to be able to use your brain, which a majority of football fans can't do
This ridiculous narrative about Arsenal's injury-crisis needs to stop. Odegaard is the only longish-term injury they've had this year. Saliba missed a match through suspension, Gabriel missed a half of football. Califiori is well covered with TImber, another expensive signing.
Merson is SKY's equivalent of AFTV's Ty!! They both talk absolutely bollox all the time!!
They didn’t push Man City all the way the last two seasons
Why are we talking about a team 3 points away from the bottom half of the table going for the title???
The players liverpool are missing: Allison, Jota, Cheisa and Elliot... yet people acting like they have the leg up on city and Arsenal who are struggling with injuries. How many did Liverpool have out last season in compasion? I rest my case.😊
Never really to potter b4… I like him sounds like a sharp dude
People crowning Liverpool champions in November - swear this has happened a few times before and not ended well for them
Absolute state of these pundits. There’s 28 games left for Christ sake. Absolutely hate the lot of them.
Potter is a very good manager...would do well at a leicester or wolves
Liverpool have been great, Arsenal & City have been really poor by their standards & there's still only 9 & 5 points in it respectively. Fine margins & with 27 games to go, there's is more than enough time to turn that around. Liverpool will have a blip at some point too as their run to Xmas is harder than the other two imo, but I hope Slot does it in his first season. Either way, they're all still in it & there's everything to play for.
Paul Merson is unbelievable “Liverpool have a mistake in them, Arsenal don’t” I’m sorry what have the last few results for Arsenal been
Merson like every other arsenal fan… deluded 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Opta predictor tonight has Arsenal chance of winning the league at 3.5% 🤣🤣🤣 Mersons been smoking the leaf

There's a lot more twists and turns to come, Ars and City will find their form again and Liv will at some point hit a sticky patch
Sick of hearing about arsneals injuries, they had like 2 players out 🤦♂️
Liverpool had 10+ last year and everyone said get on with it, its a squad game blah blah
Talking about a title in November, there is still SEVEN MONTHS to go….
The fact that all of you are not seeing Chelsea as a title contaders it's funny.. Because Chelsea is the surprise package this season they have what it takes to be champions and and lm really convinced this year they are going all the way
Arsenal injury comments are getting out of hand, only Odegaard been injured, Gabriel and saliba havnt missed a game thru injury, and saka has missed one on injury
Merson makes it up as he goes along.
Merson, honestly just give it a rest mate.
As a pundit- you’re supposed to be realistic, not have some bias fantasy!
The title race is over now.
Liverpool are showing absolutely no signs of them dropping points, whereas Arsenal are struggling to even SCORE let alone WIN!
By that notion Spurs would’ve won the league last season.
Pundits have opinions. How often are they wrong ? Don’t listen to them
The more Merson try to defend Arsenal, the more he doesn’t make sense.
He said
He believe Arsenal will catch Liverpool
Then again if Liverpool beat City, it’s done.
What is up with this Arsenal injury myth? And it’s like Liverpool ain’t had Alisson and Jota out, Elliott too.
Arsenal keep cribbing about an injury crisis when they had what - 3 players out (Odegaard, Caliafiori and Tomiyasu). Chelsea went to Arsenal with nearly a second team and Man City currently have so many missing. Liverpool have Allison and Chiesa missing. Stop making excuses for Arsenal.
Potter really has got West Ham written all over him! They should scoop him asap
He would be your best candidate
@ not a hammer , but yeah I agree
How is Merson employed? Vacuous nonsense
Merson refers to Arsenal as if they've won 5 PL and 2 CL's in the last 10 years lmao.
It's 11 hames in. FAR too early to predict or call anything with any certainty. 1 pt separates A LOT of teams. Liverpool is looking good. But you can't start pegging champions. It's comparable to scoring a goal 20min into game and trying to predict it.
We shall see through the play of the teams.
