Also Coman, Muller, Gnabry from the CL winning season were unstoppable. The beating they gave Spurs away and Lewy's first goal(how he got there from the wing heel passing to himself over a defender) was unreal.
I will never forget that 5 goals in 9 minutes for the rest of my life and I was very lucky for being able to witness it live. No matter what people say you are a Bayern Legend in my eyes Lewa
Hands down, one of the best interviews I've seen being able to make a person comfortable enough to share about personal/working stuff is rare nowadays 👏
@@thezoexperience2 No, in 2021 also. Messi had medicore season, was stunned that really he recieved the award. He spoke thet Lewy should earn it. In terms of todays "more just" way of calculating votes - Lewy would win with ease that vote. Lewy won all and broke 40y.o. Gred Mullers Record then. He was ROBBED again.
Each time I see Robert, first thing in my mind is that match against Wolfsburg, 5 goals in no time man, that performance was unique. And he still scores like he's a youngster, never gets old and I belive he will still going for other 3 years.
Absolutely killing it with these last few interviews. I never knew his English was so good - makes sense! Great content and good interviewer, letting the guest speak.
What an amazing mentality! Guy was an insecure boy who spent years building his character. He didn't get great confidence from the start like modern young players have. I'm not some big soccer fan but this guy really inspires me to self-improvement. You can see that years of coaching and self-reflection have built this indestructible character not only on the field but off it too. His career is a true path of a warrior who always remains humble and balanced.
I loved this interview, I really enjoyed how smart, personable, and transparent Lewandowski is. He provided lots of details in his answers and it felt like a conversation you are having with a friend. It also felt like it could have gone forever but was cut short for the show. I really hope he gets that Ballon d'Or.
Great interview Rio! And nothing but respect for Robert Lewandowski - what a player. Definitely the best Number 9 of the last decade. Without a doubt the most consistent and professional one 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I love this guy, such a wise and natural person, I am sure that if he had been born French or English, he would have at least 2 Balon Do'r by now! His numbers and achievements speak for themselves, Lewandowski has been scoring 40+ goals every season for 10 years like it was something simple, thats mad...Best nr 9 of this generation for me. Rio, i really thank you for this, very interesting interview.
I think Lewandowski’s uniqueness comes from his humble beginnings and so-called „cold” upbringing you could experience in the post-Soviet countries in the 1980s and 1990s. Being a teenager back then taught you endurance, metal resilience and above all, gave you a motivation to get out of there and „be more”. What kept Lewy humble is also his gratefulness and drive to improve and learn. He is an exemplary athletes! Such a great interview :)
Stereotypes are the worst because they have little to do with the truth. "Cold rearing"? Some have loving parents, others don't. And it has nothing to do with nationality. And the mentality of Poles, Czechs or Bulgarians is different. However, following the term "cold rearing", I would rather describe the English, where small children spend entire years in boarding schools away from their families. Lewandowski was raised in an intelligent, loving family, I think that many factors contributed to his success, but he owes the most to himself. He is unique.
@@alinam.1710I don’t claim I know everything about his childhood. Neither I know his perception of it. From his interviews and behaviour I can only conclude he loves his parents and family very much. What I meant through using this expression of cold upbringing is that resources in the 80s and 90s were very limited what was pushing people to go and search for alternatives and improvements to their lives. Also, parents were loving and caring, but their emotionality was restrained by daily struggles they had to face at the time. I am not diminishing his parents. I am only pointing at one of the factors that I believe some players who are now teenagers, also in the post-Soviet states, will never experience.
@@olggg9740 Ok. But this is still a big simplification. And what kind of term is "post-Soviet countries"? Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and a few other countries never belonged to the USSR, they had their own statehood, unlike Lithuania, Estonia or Ukraine. Yes, they were in the same system and were subject to huge influences, but they never surrendered to this criminal power and never gave up their efforts to regain complete sovereignty. And the difficulties in the 90s, affected some very much, others moderately, and for others were a springboard to success. And in the face of the same challenges, one person will break down, for another it will be a challenge, a third will react even differently. A small note - Robert lost his beloved father at the age of 16, and it looks like he partially took over his role, he felt responsible.
@@alinam.1710Bro, where are the stereotypes? It's facts. Do you know anything about life in Poland that time? It can't compare to today's life, so there can be much truth in those statement
ILL SIGN A PETITION TO GET THIS MAN HIS BALLON D’OR 5 TIMES. It’s a joke that they cancelled it when all the competitions continued. BEST STRIKER SINCE R9 & 1 OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME
He is the definition of hard work and professionalism - Lewandowski was less gifted, then Suraz - but will have better carrier at the end. Suarez scored only 27 goals in Champions League, while Lewy has over 100. Fact that he can speak fluently in 4 languages is confirmation of his workaholic mentality.
Intelligent man, Robert.. Really liked the interview. Rio has the skills to make everyone feel comfortable and important: key skill of being an interviewer.
When you actually realize under what type of coaches Lewy worked for, it really explains why he is the type of player he is. He will definitely leave a great legacy in the world of football.

Wow, fantastic Interview. I listen it very closely. I understand all what Robert Lewandowski said. I tought he was talking to me. Wow wow wow very brilliant Interview . Just 50 minutes I learn so much from Lewa ❤❤❤
The thing about Lewandowski is he's not a shiny player, he does his job and does it as good as anyone, but playing at bayern for so long it kind of slowed down his brand in a sense, but the real fans of this game know which players are special and there is only a handful of these types of players every generation and Lewy is right there at the top for sure with players like Messi and Ronaldo
This was the best interview of the series. Lewy is a very humble and self-aware guy. Hope we can get more in-depth interviews (from this channel or others)
Never say never. Lewy will play up to 40 or even longer. Apart from exercises and very restricted diet He has even sleeping coach. Seriously. All, even very smallest details (e.g. eyes warm up), just to turn body in perfectly (and long) working machine.
Amazing interview Rio! As a Pole I really appreciate recognition lewandowski gets nowadays from fans outside of Poland because in Poland even though he is our best player of all time without a doubt he gets a lot of hate. I love lewandowski and that he’s playing for my beloved barcelona, Poland will really miss him when he’ll retire and those who hate on him are just stupid. Once again amazing interview and i’ve learned a few new facts about my childhood idol thanks to you💪
Don't exaggerate... nobody hates lewego more.In Poland there is as much frustration as in other countries, don't worry, abroad there are also their haters 😂. You know ludziska sa różni
Amazing to listen to this! One particular thing that I noticed is that Lewa used to do Judo at a young age. Reminded me of Zlatan, but he was doing Taekwondo when he was a teenager. These big strikers and goal machines with Martial Arts background are a rarity in modern football, and you can see how it influenced their game.
It’s been insightful listening to Lewandowski’s perspective on motivation, self awareness, evolution of the game, and the influences of effective managers off and on the pitch. Rio’s timely probes were encouraging as well as inspiring.
I really enjoy this podcast, Lewi has great communication in the discussion and good storytelling. I hope he can lift the trophy of Ballon d'Or. Greetings from Indonesia!
A beautiful lecture about football and the life of a football player. He didn't get the golden ball he deserved, some would say even two. However, he was a FIFA player twice. In the era of Messi and Ronaldo, this is a huge art. He is not retiring, but we can already say that he is one of the greatest strikers in the history of football.
Wow. Verrrrry interesting. This guy is a true student of the game. Really thoughtful and reflective. One of my favorite interviews with a current player I’ve ever seen
Polish German Spanish English. It takes a lot of intelligence to not just speak but also express yourself in four different languages. Smart guy, and one of football's greatest goal scorers👍

Although it's kinda sad that his career is slowly coming to the end, I'm so happy that I could watch the best Polish player in the history on a daily basis. Thank you Robert for all the memories, emotions and for bringing Poland back to the football world and conversations. Even if you're too humble saying that you're not on the same level as Cristiano and Leo, I know that stats says otherwise, legend of the game and one of the best to ever do it! Dziękuję Robert!
WoW Rio! This 50 minutes gone like 5. It was like open book about football want you read and read. Amazing interview!
Wow, thanks!
@@rioferdinandpresentsso humble and human and he is still on top !
You bring back the faith in humanity ❤🎉
Even if u love ronaldo or messi.. but simply u cant hate this guy.. he was the one who fights with ronaldo and messi on the same stage for ballon dor
Lewy, Muller, Robben and Ribery what an attack that was.
And Robben and Ribery were already aging, when Lewy joined Bayern. So, they could have been even better, if they all met in their primes.
Also Coman, Muller, Gnabry from the CL winning season were unstoppable. The beating they gave Spurs away and Lewy's first goal(how he got there from the wing heel passing to himself over a defender) was unreal.
@@JS-bh3pzhave to put perisic in there as well he was really important in the 2019/20 season
@@davidfebreeze428 Perisic is such an amazing player!
@ yeah also one of the players who’s truly underrated (not everyone calling him underrated to the point he’s rated adequately)
Wow, thank you!
Lewa was ROBBED of Ballon d' Or TWICE!!!
Give this man the award he DESERVES!
Yeah. Committee is corrupt
Once. 2020 only.

Lewy not Lewa mate

We need to protest and get justice for this man 2021 ballon d'or was called off when they played the entire season
2020. But yes, i agree. Season was fully played. There should be a ballon d’or as well even with no ceremony
It's 2020 Bro. Everyone will agree

Absolutely killing it with these last few interviews. I never knew his English was so good - makes sense! Great content and good interviewer, letting the guest speak.
Lewandowski also speaks excellent Spanish, German and, of course, Polish.
To prawda bracie
I loved this interview, I really enjoyed how smart, personable, and transparent Lewandowski is. He provided lots of details in his answers and it felt like a conversation you are having with a friend. It also felt like it could have gone forever but was cut short for the show. I really hope he gets that Ballon d'Or.
Lewa is a very very eloquent person and so down to earth and smart with his views on society in general
Great interview Rio!
And nothing but respect for Robert Lewandowski - what a player. Definitely the best Number 9 of the last decade. Without a doubt the most consistent and professional one 🤜🏻🤛🏻
That's so true. He was extremely consistent througout his career
Wow! 1st interview I watch with Lewa. What a gr8 guy he is. Humble. Just pure class. Legend
Place of birth is nothing…. Most important is where you play… lewy a lot of time play in Bundesliga….
One of the best non-Polish interviews I've ever seen with Lewy. Well done
What a pleasant gentlemen.
Much love from 🇬🇪 Lewy
@@jacobsss5827Bro, I am Polish. 😀
For real… We need to start a petition to give this man’s 2020 ballon d’or!!!
As a Barcelona fan, I am so happy to see Lewandowski mentor our young squad.

BEST STRIKER SINCE R9 & 1 OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME
Fantastic interview. Robert is a Legend. As a Barça fan, we're happy to have him in our squad!

This man deserves his Balon

My respect for Mr.Lewandowski, really humble and funny to have a chat with.

A beautiful lecture about football and the life of a football player. He didn't get the golden ball he deserved, some would say even two. However, he was a FIFA player twice.
