I like that the crew has reload animations as well as swivel that can shoot far off targets. Seems like they made AC4 more acrady and cinematic. If we would combine the cinematics of the AC4 and add complexity of AC3... we would have a solid all round good Pirate game!
AC3 Slow to turn bulky feeling ship Cannons fired all in succession Dedicated swivel cannons 4 shot types available for broadside Crew loading and combat animations Ship damage textures and animation None of these were in AC4 It’s kinda depressing
I can't agree more I star play AC3 after play AC4 it really makes me feel AC4 is nothing but a pirate game even the Naval battle is more tricky than AC4 not even mention all the Mechanism and detail of the hole game
It’s been too long since I first played that game, and I remember thinking that the bald guy next to the sail ropes was a total bad ass, I mean, they are firing fucking canoon balls at them, and that crazy mother fucker is standing up at the side of the ship. What a crazy fuck. Totally awesome.
datHDgameplay I have to say that for me these little details really make a difference. Their purpose in ac3 was to make the game feel authentic and real, now they are gone. In ac4 your ship seems made of diamond, the hull is intact even if you loose two health bars. What do you think about it?
I just think they are focusing more on milking the series now than on little details that would make the game more believable. Story wise they pretty much stopped after AC3 in AC4 there really was nothing in that game aside from a small piece that involved the previous story with Desmond. I personally don't understand why they would take those details away when they add to the experience.
I agree, if you ask me about the story in ac4 I dont't know what to answer. At some point you pluder ships, then you scavenge medicines, then you wake up on a lone island and later in a prison. Weird story...I would really love an open world naval game like ac4, but with more depth if you know what I mean.
I get what you mean. I thought it was actually pretty cool how they went about it once I got into the whole sailing thing. I'm not really into that BUT this game did a good job with it and I started to enjoy it. It would be cool to see how something would look if they actually wanted to focus on the sailing aspect and pay more attention to detail.
Let's take for example that they would add creatures, like massive whales or a ghost ship roaming the seas at storm. Or the possibility to enter the crew's quarters, under the deck. Cannons feel less real, in ac3 they felt powerful, charging in a longer time. As you notice the naval gameplay gets boring after a while, but I wonder if this would change with the addition of more details.
You think so? I mean maybe they just payed attention ito different things. only like AC3 over AC4 because it actually had somethign to do with the story that got me into the game in the first place. AC4 had nothing to do with the story aside from a small piece of the game. Other than it being the story of conors grandfather. it was cool but not the AC game I would have liked it to be.
I personally think they should have kept the combat like this in AC4. i think this is much simpler and easier instead of having to "aim" or "traject" you're cannon ball shots.
This shows me that your game system allows the cannons to reload faster than on my PC. On my game (PC), there are more naval missions than what you show here.
these are the naval missions. You get them in the original game without any DLC. Just look for the anchor, if im remembering correctly, to get a list of the naval missions you have unlocked.
I guess they do it a little different. I mean either way I wish the AC series didn't fall off. They never really pushed Rogue at all and AC unitiy was a flop. I played the games for the story and now that story is done but they keep milking the series. sad stuff.. if they at least tried to continue the story I would be intersted.
Rodrigo Guevara Maybe it has but somehow I didn't noticed it. And I played a lot this game. Maybe the damage is not as detailed as it was in AC III (which was mostly scripted).
Razvan David You clearly can't see that AC3 doesn't even shows the enemy's damage and the damage bar for the ship is just a simple bar. AC4's damage is a bar but with various lines depending on the armor your ship has. The lines are there so you can see your damage with more detail, so again, AC4's damage bar is far more advanced and improved than AC3's damage bar
I have yet to see the complexity of the new game as far as sailing and naval combat goes BUT.. I hope it will still be fun.. Might take a bit more time to get the hang of it.
There are definitely more.. This is just the Carribean Sea set of naval missions. Also.,.. if mine are reloading faster then maybe you could try turning your graphics down a bit. I'm sure a little tweaking might help. Our cannons should all be reloading at the same speed :)

Fifty years later, the Caribbean is still sailed by a Kenway.
😂
The graphics, mechanics, and naval combat is overall a lot better in this game than it was in AC4.

that amount of horsepower at 13:28 coming from the randolph
The Randolph can't escape! :D
Wow, the Caribbean was so boring after 50 years
what?
@@ototurmanidze5578 Black Flag, a game full of adventure and action takes place 50 years before AC3. Compared to Black Flag AC3 was boring as fuck
pirate games have a lot to learn from this one
I've been stuck on this chapter for ages!
Valstroyer LoL oh yea? Which part of it? some of them are a pain haha
the one that u need to ride the ship trought the cliffs and chase the enemy ship T_T
haha :( what keeps you from getting past it? I remember they made it really windy so you would have issues navigating and bang into the rocks. :x
yea that's the god damn problem!
haha that was the only problem I could think of. gotta stay ahead of the wind! :D Hopefully you conquer that part soon!

Notice how this game has ship damage (13:09) and ac4 black flag doesn't. Why would they remove it?
no idea man.. They probably didn't think it mattered or they wouldn't have taken it out. :x
black flag does have ship damage and it even shows the enemy's damage

I need to look more into that. I've been into this game from the start :)

nice can you put all sea misson or naval mission not just caribbean?
Is this the dlc because I have ac3 and I don't remember some of these missions
Might be able to do that. I'm just working on a new vid (or two) for Strike Suit Zero next.
yea it seems so.. I'll have to check out Black Flag when it comes out.
4:22 "Woops...."
How is this naval combat somehow better than in AC4?
Ubisoft can be very questionable sometimes...
You you should be able to replay these memories like any of the others in the game.
Man i cant Wait for ac 4 , free Roam sailing c:
Can the crew on the shop even die?
Thanks!
aquila full sail is so cool
Full speed ahead!!
Is it possible to freeroam in the Caribbean
I think so.. I actually forgot. it has been a while :x
@@datHDgameplay man it’s ok, I’m sure I will find out later in the story of the game.
how can i get into a ship?
this game is just a partial, because ubisoft had been preparing to make a pirate game.
haha nah.. well i guess the whole crew dies if the boat gets too damaged but not while the mission is going. :x
mine is always at night in my ps3 i can't see shit
is this dlc?
No, these are actually a set of side missions in the game :)
where is connor madafaq?
Emzar Narmania hes the captain
Ship *
