I'm here after watching the presentation on Skull and Bones. I can't belive they made such a cool naval battle system for Assassin's Creed 3 and then worsened it every time they had to make one again.
This is way better than Black Flag. The sound of the roar of the cannons are fuckying awesome. If AC 4 had these naval combat and mechanics would be a perfect game.
Obstinado umm what? Sorry to burst your bubble but this doesn't really make naval combat dynamic and fluid, unlike Black Flag's which I felt an improvement over the difficulty of Ac3's naval combat. Also Jackdaw sounds better than Aquila.
Neither AC 3 or Blackflag hade very realistic combat but AC3 felt slightly better and more believable. The ship is fast and arcady but it isn't a stupid little speedboat like Jackdaw. Also the story of AC3 and Connor is much better. I got bored of AC4's empty open world with the same 4 ships over and over again except from a few scriped boss fights afther 3 hours. The ship was too op and the combat too easy and the story was just messy and totally uninteresting.
Its not my fault I'm old and have played games better than blackflag as far back as 2003 that is better in every way exept from graphics ofc. Making me expecting more from modern games. Still neither me nor others can take away your right to enjoy and play the game. If you like it, fine but you dont need to be offended by other people finding it lackluster:)

@ʂƈσɾρισɳ No I don't believe so. You can still play all the Naval missions if you're already further into the game even if you didn't play them in the previous sequences. Hell I believe you can do them from start to finish near the end of the game. Its just that if you do the first Naval mission earlier on(I mean like when it becomes available for the first time on the map), then you can only do that specific naval mission on the sequence where it first appeared. If you keep progressing through the story sequences then you can play each of them separately as they become available in those sequences or do all of them in a row if you completed most of the story sequences already. The point is if you completed one naval mission and want to play the next one, check the map to see if its available or not. If its not then that means you have to get to the next sequence for it to become available , otherwise complete most of the sequences already and then do the naval missions in a row since they will already be available for you to do so.
