The Singapore Prisons Emergency Response (SPEAR) Force is an elite tactical unit trained to tackle a multitude of high risk prison incidents.
SPEAR officers are armed with modern technology and weaponry for a range of operations from quelling prison riots to evacuating inmates and escorting high-risk inmates to court.

Nothing compared to SAPU.During the 80's and 90's, Officers and Men of the Special Actions Prisons Unit,dealt with real life situations,escapes,riots in prisons, escorts prisoners to Courts,and Changing General Hospitals ( the old hospital).patrol and on standby for any emergencies.The Old Changing Prison, caused fear to would be criminals.Salute SAPU.
