Ground Response Force? More like Ground Harassment Force. From this short video, SPF officers showed many instances of illegal law enforcement.
First victim was sitting by public walkway, which is legal. He showed no sign of distress nor called for police assistance. Nevertheless, he was racially profiled and approached by SGT W. The victim must know his rights and not answer any potentially self-incriminating questions in the future.
The second group was victimized by the illegal search and arrest. The arrested individuals accused of illegal possession should hire defense lawyer and apply to the court have the evidence dismissed. SGT W could not have seen anything in the dark, thus no reasonable suspicion. No less conduct illegal search and arrest. For all you know, SGT W could've planted those items.
Finally, SGT W and his partner was seen littering onto private vehicles. If the car owner bought insurance and felt it was safe to leave their items in their private vehicle, who is SGT W to tell them otherwise? MYOB and don't litter leaflets onto their windscreen.
Singaporeans should know their rights and exercise them on every encounter with the police. This is because there are bad apples in the SPF. SPF officers should get better training and respect citizens' rights. Officers of the law should not go around violating rights of others.

the first victim was sitting on the sidewalk, yes, however its very uncommon for people to do that here in singapore (unless your doing yoga stuff, with a group trolling around, or a construction worker)

Some may wonder how Singapore handles its criminals.
In Singapore, they handle their prisons by optimizing the limited space on the small island. They use innovative approaches like vertical construction to make efficient use of land. Additionally, they prioritize rehabilitation programs to reduce reoffending rates despite the spatial constraints.

The frontliners wanted to use deadly force. But the commander decided that they stand down, hold the area and protect the bus driver, since they lack the equipment and training to quell the entire riot. And also, the rioters greatly outnumbered the police 8 to 1. The last thing they want is a HK style protest where the police were outnumbered and gotten severely injured.

Makes no sense that all 6 police guys stroll in the same street. They should walk individual and in case can call for help. So 6 streets could have been checked in the same time.

No Government Perfect … Our PAP Maybe Malfunctioning abit But Still OK … Maybe Start by Checking with Our Obedient SPF if They even ALLOWED TO INVESTIGATE “ issues of Governance “ , let alone involving Lee Kuan Yew & Goh Yong Hong( Ex Comm of Police & Known LKY’s Blue Eyed Lap Dog) ?? . Noteworthy, Both Coincidentally Passed Within Weeks in 2015 AFTER Allegations that CRIMINALLY Incriminate Both Filed In Singapore High Court 🤓! … Coincidence , Phenomena, Extreme Distancing etc ?? 🤔… Take Your Pick .… If SPF cannot Respond Officially , then Pls Accept Government Malfunctioning 😊

Replying to each of these statements:
1: The officers were asking if he lives around here and told him to take care of his belongings. Not racially profile him.
2: The individuals were acting suspicious and hiding something from the police, hence the search.
3: The 'litter' is there to remind people to not leave belongings in the car. Even if you have insurance, you don't have to go through the trouble of making a police report.

Oh good grief! 🤦 You're the reason crime is out of control in many places. Good on the Police for being vigilant and going with their instincts. But of course if it were up to you, people would be wielding knuckle dusters and naturally if you or a family member were harmed by someone with one, you'd be the first to cry that the Police didn't do their job.
