That's it surprises me that neither soundgarden or Alice in Chains have been inducted in the rock n roll hall fame yet. Heck, they had Pearl Jam inducted the year Cornell passed yet not Soundgarden?
They recorded Limo Wreck and Mailman with Teles because the single coils offered more clarity with the lower, double-drop tuning that both songs featured.

Those last words sung with that much power and he still hit every single note at perfect pitch. Very few singers can do that live, even some of the great ones have difficulties with that kind of live singing.
3:04, awesome musicianship, how Chris slides down the neck on his guitar and Kim starts playing the verse riff again while he's doing that, simple but gives a great feel.
What an amazing artist, amazing song, amazing performance, this man has to be the most talented human being in my lifetime, I am incredibly lucky and proud to have lived at the same time as he, I only wish I might have crossed paths at some point in time, just to have met him, shook hands, said hey, anything, God please bless this man, he touched so many with his music, he's still touching many lives RIP CHRIS

Chris sounds *better* than the record?..... perhaps. Excellent example of what his voice could do, either way..
Exactly. Kurt may have been the "Face of Grunge" but Chris was the Voice and Layne was the Soul.

A testament to the underrated heaviness of the telecaster. I love Les Pauls and SGs, but a tele can deliver a crushingly heavy stomp too.

Stick some hot pickups in any bit of wood, send it through some pedals and it'll sound the same.
