Yes, it starts from 102 Street but most LRT construction in Edmonton is done in stages depending on what's the most important. They typically do not construct the lines from end to end specifically for that reason.
Heya! Good to see the Valley Line West having a nice progress on its construction. For the new cars set for the Valley Line West, once they arrive in 2025, will they immediately enter into Valley Line Southeast service or undergo some testing? And for their arrival next year, what part of 2025 will they be slated to be delivered?
The cars are highly unlikely to enter service as soon as they arrive as they will most likely need to be tested first. It's like the SD160's on the Capital Line back in the day as they were once new models, so they needed to check them out first and get the operators trained on them. The City says that the first cars are expected to arrive in Edmonton around mid-2025.
Heya again! About an hour ago, I have returned from the Taste of Edmonton. Riding the Valley Line for the very second time was just like the first one: Enjoyable. Excited for Heritage Festival since I’m definitely attending that.
@@westfieldplayz Awesome! The Valley Line is quite useful for getting people to events like that. Also, a friend of mine may be inviting me to attend Heritage Fest just to film the buses in the Park and Ride lot again. Nothing confirmed yet, but we'll see later on.
About time they started construction. That makes me wonder though, doesn't Valley Line West continue from 102 Street? Why aren't they starting there?

Is this by WEM? 🤔
Correct. This was filmed at the adjacent hospital near 170 Street.
