Maybe you can also do a Route 4 compilation since nobody has ever filmed that route ever. Route 4 goes to WEM from Capilano for some advice.
I'm glad to say that a Route 4 compilation has been in the works for a while. However, a test video was made at one point and was cancelled due to it's short length. I will definitely try to film more 4's as time goes on and eventually make a version ready for release!
@@TransitEmperor4774 Interesting.
Heya! Awesome video. How ironic how almost all of Canada gets Novabuses, but ETS *never* really had exceptions on buying Novabuses. Especially an articulated one. Hopefully and in a hypothetical scenario, they replace the D40LFR’s in the coming years.
ETS did have demonstrator buses from Nova run in the early 2000's on a small number of routes. One was even sent here from Translink in exchange for 4100 for a little while. However, ETS never pursued the idea of purchasing Nova's of their own, despite numerous rumours of alleged orders over the years. I do find the idea of replacing the LFR's with Nova's interesting in a sense, but drivers would likely hate it based on what I've heard from friends who drive them elsewhere.
When I first heard of this partnership I thought Fort Saskatchewan was gonna use their own buses and leased a space at Bethel to run it
It's cheaper just to contract services out to other transit agencies. That's why ETS ran the 198 and 580 for so many years before SCT took over.
Awesome Nico! I Have Posted TH-cam Videos of the Nova & Enviro500 Alexander Dennis Double Decker Passenger Buses On Strathcona County To Sherwood Park, As Well As From Sherwood Park. 😊
The double deckers are the best! Although a few trips on Nova LFS buses aren't bad either =)
@@TransitEmperor4774 The Nova Buses Are Amazing. They Are Like Rattling Rockin Robin Musical Dancing Nova Potato Buses!
Do you love Sherwood Park buses?
I'd have to say yes as Sherwood Park buses are quite fun to ride on. I usually have to save some cash in order to ride these buses, but it is quite a treat when I get to take a ride. It's even better when I get a double decker, which has happened before.
Awesome Video like always, I like these new 2024 XD40s aswell!
Thank you! I plan to continue making videos of these buses when I have time to go look for them.
@naussica05 My college is Red deer jan intake 2025 but i want to stay Calgary or Edmonton So this is the reason i was asking for bus service from CALGARY TO RED DEER or from Edmonton to red Deer
Is there any bus service from Edmonton to red Deer
In my opinion, you might have to take a coach bus (usually like Greyhound) as an example. They usually travel from Edmonton to Calgary.
@@westfieldplayz Just take the green FlixBus from Southgate Bus Terminal to Calgary. That's what I think.

The cameras looks so cute
nice videos like always!
Thanks! It's always a pleasure to hear positive feedback from loyal viewers such as yourself!
Awesome route on how I usually get to school. Riding the Valley Line from Millborne Woodvale to Davies to school, and from school, shown in this video. It feels awesome riding the Valley Line to school. Enjoy it everytime.
Thank you! The Valley Line is definitely useful for carrying students to and from school, a lot better than cramming them into buses. My biggest pet peeve is when buses get full, and the driver continues to try and make room. You're full, keep going lol Yes, the Valley Line is a major improvement in service.
@@TransitEmperor4774 I can tell you right now, Last Friday and Today after school, Davies was SO crowded. I had to miss two trains to find some good space in a car, (did some nice cool trainspotting) then once the crowd was normal enough, it was time to board a train.
That's quite a productive way to pass the time while waiting for your train. Hopefully, the crowd didn't get into your shots that much, unless you were at the end of the platform.
Long time no see, Transit Show. Been a while since we have had an episode of the series. Never ceases to entertain me.
More episodes are ready to air in the near future! It only took a while as I had to find time to collect footage, didn't want you to watch scenes from the same area. Wouldn't be as fun. I'm glad you enjoyed the show! -Transit Emperor
Thank You for doing a transit show, you've never did that in a long time.
You're quite welcome! It was actually a matter of collecting footage for the episode, but I've got two more episodes ready while I film future shows.

Beautiful video !
Thank you, Ben!
These 2024 New Flyer XD40 have the same seats as the 2023 buses. I saw on the news that ETS is going to be replacing a lot of their older buses in the next few years because many buses are already near the end of their service life. It puts so much pressure when ETS and The City of Edmonton buy buses in big numbers at once. ETS bought 355 buses in the years of 2007 and 2009.
I think it's time. The older units are getting way too costly to keep running and new ones are greatly needed to keep the regular level of service, otherwise there will most certainly be cutbacks. In fact, some of the older units have exceeded their expected life span and now require a lot of work to keep on the road.
Which route is this?
This was recorded on the Route 709 Century Park.
Lovely video! One of ETS's newest bus already in service lol, i heard there will be 7237-7256 as the new 2024 XD40s all the 2024s are delivered on the ETS fleet wiki but no one is sure that is true! :)
Thank you! I've heard many theories on how many buses are showing up this year, yet only seven have actually been delivered so far. I guess we'll have to wait a little while longer to see what the final count is.
@@TransitEmperor4774 oh lol, on the wiki it says all 2024s are delivered lol, but oh well new buses lol, we also now have 256-257 xd40s if my math is correct. Anyways always here to support videos and the channel! :D
I'm quite happy to have your support and feedback as it has helped not only me, but everyone who watches my content. Thank you for the support, my friend! -Transit Emperor
Heya! Returning to this video once more to ask a bit of questions about the Hyundai Rotem cars coming next year, how many of those are gonna be delivered what are the fleet numbers of those cars? (example: 2026 to what)
There are supposed to be up to 40 cars coming in total. The numbers will probably be 2027 to 2066 based on the current numbering scheme but they may also throw us a curveball and assign a different number series to these cars. I'll keep my eyes peeled for any more information that comes up around the time of delivery.
@@TransitEmperor4774 ah. throughout 2025, in the course of a few months 2027 to 2066 will be delivered, or will they all arrive at the same time.
Those cars may take a couple of years to be delivered. They won't show up all at once.
@@TransitEmperor4774 ah. I don’t know if it is too early to say, but hypothetically, would there be cars 2066-2099 being delivered?
Typically, they only purchase cars for LRT expansions. However, if an existing car was so badly damaged in an accident that it wasn't worth repairing, then one car would be purchased as a replacement.
Why did the bus #7129 breakdown at Millwoods transit centre
It looked like the engine had died. The bus was parked there for a few hours according to Transit55.
Is this an On Demand Shuttle?
No. This was a special ETS shuttle to get spectators and volunteers to an event called "Symphony Under The Sky" at Snow Valley.
Heya! School has officially started as of a week ago, and i’ve been now taking the Valley Line fully to school and from school each day. The bus passes on the arc cards feel a lot different than the normal balance stuff on the cards. I’m able to ride the Valley Line without any limitations on Balance for the whole month. And that’s something sweet, knowing I can ride transit anytime and for however long. If that’s the right clarification.
Sadly, I don't use Arc yet. I still use prepaid paper passes. Arc is quite convenient from what I've heard! Mom and her friend keeps insisting I go for my driver's licence in the next few years, so I'll likely be using paper passes and then the Arc card until that eventually happens.
@@TransitEmperor4774 Ah. Keep doing you, all I can say is that Arc is pretty convenient, and it's a lot more better than tickets. :)
@@westfieldplayz Arc definitely is the way of the future! Last time I received a book of tickets, it was a Christmas present from Mom for my transit collection. I have a few Arc cards on display as well from when they were being given out on Day 1. I never removed them from the paper cover as I know they will be valuable to transit historians one day.
It's an older model train, right?
It is. This car was part of the 1983-84 purchase of U2 LRV's for Calgary Transit. It's still in service as I write this according to the CPTDB wiki.
Happy Alberta Day Transit Emperor! 🎉
Thank you!
The Walterdale bridge one is awesome!! I like the detail of the moving lights, which I assume is meant to resemble cars crossing the bridge!! Drone shows may be shorter than fireworks, but I personally like them even more. I hope that they can be used more often.
I'd say they should be used 50/50 depending on the situation. I do agree though that drone shows are quite neat and have fascinating imagery like the Walterdale Bridge animation you just mentioned. That was probably the coolest thing I saw in there! Definitely can't do that with fireworks.
Is this in the Jasper Town west of Alberta?
It is from the Town of Jasper, but the video was filmed at the PWT shops in Edmonton.
I really like that the newer C-Train cars have ramp free boarding…
Like the one shown at 1:14
Those surprised me when I saw them there. They must have ordered them like that to lower costs associated with ramp maintenance, which is a clever move.
My current transit system. And yes, the Nova’s are very rattly
I actually filmed some SCT Nova's earlier this month, including a trip on the new Route 600. The videos will be available in the next month or so!
Is this your first time on an on demand transit shuttle?
It is. I wanted to try these things out ever since the beginning, but I didn't have time until just recently. Still, it was a nice ride and the drivers get you to your stop fast and easy.
Hey Emperor! Have you ever been on 4883 or 4753 as it has rare seats that are not found on other d40lfrs
Yes, I've been on both. 4753 has quite an interesting setup. Also, they recently converted 4883 into a hydrogen-diesel dual fuel bus, so I'm just waiting for that one to re-enter service before I make another video with it.
Hey Transit Emperor, Spotted more new buses today as of Aug, 29, 2024 i have seen 7237-7239 they are rolling out more n more and i am hoping u could take them if your able to track them down i am still confused what year they are and what garages they will go to as the ets fleet wiki hasnt updated yet :)
Hi there! I just went out tonight to film 7239 and I am currently in the process of transferring it from my camera to my computer. Should be posted within the next 2 weeks at the very most!
@@TransitEmperor4774 oh haha that’s nice on which route?
It was on the Route 709 Century Park.
It’s your first time on ETS on demand transit
Correct. I had the app on my phone, so I thought it would be worth trying out for once!
@@TransitEmperor4774 you muted the video
@@Anish-ol9kq Unfortunately, yes. As the description explains, there were a lot of passengers in the back of the bus who were a bit talkative.

Amazing Bus Video of ETS Bus 2024 New Flyer XD40 #7237 On 700X Heritage Valley Express Nico!
This bus has air conditioning inside right?🤔
Unfortunately, no. Buses built before 2017 for ETS do not come with air conditioning.
@@TransitEmperor4774 oh then the latest buses have air conditioning
Are you on route 700X?
That is correct. This was on the 16:50 departure from Century Park.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TRANSIT EMPEROR!! Im glad i told you to take this bus!
You're quite welcome, my friend! All feedback on this channel is important to me, and yours definitely caught my eye when I read your first comment on the other video. Thank you so much for the help making this video possible!
@@TransitEmperor4774 Np!, happy to recommend rare busses or anything special!
Funny how the 2018 all the way to the 2024 XD40's look so identical to each other, but having slight differences. But the D40LF's are slowly beginning to go, and that'll be a tough pill to Swallow. Awesome video showing one of the newest Jewels in the XD40 fleet, fresh in the sun. :)
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the show and the bus! They do look and sound similar, with the exception of various seat styles and models of bike rack. As for the D40LF's, they will still be here for a few more years fortunately, but they are definitely a dying breed at this point and are quite expensive to maintain now because of their age. I'll have to convince my friend to set up a private D40LF farewell charter when the time comes unless someone else from my friend group does it first and invites me.
@@TransitEmperor4774 a farewell charter sounds like a BRILLIANT idea. They should most definitely do it to their U2’s since they were the cars that started the LRT service for ETS, and propelled them to where they are today.
@@westfieldplayz Of course! That would be a once in a generation event for sure.
@@TransitEmperor4774 and I got a question about the SD160's. of course those cars arrived in 2008, some being in 2012, and I wonder if the 2008 units would be refurbished or retired (as well as the 2012 units)
The SD160's are way too young to be retired, they're still pretty much in their prime! However, they still have not been refurbished so they still have many years left with ETS.
